We need to be able to dual boot windows on arm or linux from our phones. This power would be crazy for that but android is restricting in what we can do. Screw android desktop mode, how about a full desktop os?
Intel Core Ultra is still the better overall product, its compatible with every application and you can actually game on it. Also, no one is buying Snapdragon laptops because there is less of them and they are expensive, the average consumer doesn't care about AI.
Nah, its just that the whole Snapdragon developer kit for 'PC' totally just got cancelled... that's one of many reasons that Snapdragon is still just a mobile processor. Even Microsoft's Windows is not really bothering to support ARM, that's certainly not helping either making this quite the uphill battle for Qualcomm. Not sure what their solution for this now is.
Intel is more expensive yet less powerful land losses up to 50% unplugged laptops are a "mobile device " not a "desktop" and throttling up to 50% performance unplugged just to try and claim they "beat them" in battery is unexpetable and sad 😂

Not every one games, u can hardly game on Mac books, this chip was never advertised to be gamed on, Yeah agree, the cost is high but it's a new chip/architecture so the cost is expected to be high for the first few iterations. Compatibility is coming, even Mac books translation to ARM took time, and even not Fully complete yet with every app. AI is a very old concept, U use AI every single day, u jus don't realise it, every pic u take, every vid u take, noise cancellation and a ton more are enhanced with NPU cores, they offload the work from CPU help u get better performance...
The GPU on the X Elite is too weak for a laptop. Also Windows is declining in quality in favor of user data collection with is current peak "REC(-)ALL". The price is also too high.
