Free PO-33 Kit: Beat Maker's Boutique (Pocket Operator PO-133 & PO-33 transfer file + audio samples)

- This is a free PO-33 kit and audio one-shot sample pack I made entirely from scratch only using sounds I recorded with all @beatmakersboutique5437 cases I own. After recording the drum hits I made to tape, I finalised them in the DAW for "that" ultra lofi boom bapsound. You can find the download link below.
Hey everyone, my name is Christian, and I'm addicted to pocket operators. These little tech masterpieces - especially the PO-33 and PO-32 - have completely changed how I approach music production. Before I had pocket operators, I'd mostly sit in my home studio making beats...sure, there were a few okay-ish music apps available in 2019 for on-the-go music production (or was it 2018 when TE released the PO-33?🤔) but none were as cool and versatile and affected me as much as pocket operators...and yeah, Koala and Flip, the two sampler apps that could give you a pocket operator-ish music-making experience or even replace a DAW hadn't been released yet.
Anyway, for me, pocket operators wouldn’t be the same without the amazing cases made by Beat Maker’s Boutique. Before discovering their cases, I used TE's cases and was quite happy but seriously, when I first got a PO-Boy case for my PO-33, it transformed a sampler that felt like a toy into a full-blown instrument. Plus, the cases by Beat Maker’s Boutique look super cool! Have you seen their Dibiase special edition of the SPO-XS? When they released it, I immediately got one because I didn't want to repeat the mistake I made with the Cookin Soul special edition - I hesitated and it sold out...super annoying! So, if you're looking for a super solid PO case, Beat Maker’s Boutique is worth checking out. This isn’t a sponsored shoutout…I just genuinely love BMB cases!!!
For this PO-33 kit and sample pack, I created a bunch of sounds with all the BMB stuff I own and made a lofi hip-hop drum kit. I also made four 80 BPM drum loops and stored them on drum banks 13 to 16. To achieve "this" lofi feeling / sound, I recorded the single drum hits in Ableton using the original sounds to tape, then recorded them back into the DAW and finalised them there. If you don't have a PO-33, don't worry, you can also download the loops and one-shots in audio format.

If you're wondering how to transfer data to your @teenageengineering PO-33 or PO-133, don't worry - it's super simple.

Just download the backup file and connect your device with a 3.5mm stereo cable (use the “in” jack on the left-hand side of the PO-33 / PO-133). On your PO-33 / PO-133, press WRITE + SOUND + RECORD simultaneously (“rcu” should pop up on your screen) hit play on the transferring device. Grab a coffee and let the PO-33 / PO-133 do its thing (it’ll tell you when it’s done)!
All my samples and kits are copyright-free - you can use them in your productions, videos, or whatever. The main thing is: have fun with this kit (or any of my other kits or packs)!!! Let me know if you make a cool track with one of my kits or sample packs!

The sounds are made with the cases? Like flicking them and slapping them and stuff? Then editing in a DAW? If so, that's crazy impressive. That snare is hard, that bass drum sounds like it's sampled from a dusty vinyl funk track... that's some sound design talent dude. Respect.
Yup, that's basically how I create all my sounds 😁...you know, I search for things that make cool sounds or that have some kind of an interesting tonal quality and then I focus on emphasising those aspects in the DAW...anyway, thanks a bunch, mate! This really means a lot to me!!!

@@SimpleHold I bet you'd love the PO-32...especially in combination with Microtonic, it's one of the most versatile POs...however, the 33 or 133 are insane...you can't go wrong with either of these!

Yup, totally get your point...they are kinda pricey but they are totally worth it, I find. And yeah, first time I jammed with my PO-33 in my PO-Boy case I was like "man, that case is soooo big...feels kinda weird"...but it only took me like a couple of days to get used to this and now I just love my BMB cases😁 anyway, thanks for stopping by, mate!
