- Mase walking around...some neighborhood in New York (?) with Les from Rap City. Not sure why Cam'Ron is walking around with him, too. I think this aired in 1997.
ETA: People seem to be personally offended because I asked why Cam'Ron and 3 other dudes are literally just walking around saying nothing while someone else is being interviewed. It looks stupid. You're welcome for the video, though :-p

Like i tell everyone, Mase is the one who put all these dudes on. WIthout Mase there will be no Cam, and no dipset. I hate to put it that way but it's the truth. Mase opened the lane but it's sad when friends fall apart. That's what money do to you.

FYI, Cam and Mase were high school bball stars in Harlem. Cam got a small scholarship down in Dallas while Mase went to ATL and came back and started rapping with the Best Ballers Out crew and Cam started rapping when he came back after about two years in school and he inspired Big L to start rapping and they formed the Children of the Corn which disbanded in 97 when Bloodshed died. BIG knew of Big L through Jay-Z and that allowed Mase to sneak into a Bad Boy show backstage and he freestyled for Puff and Puff signed him on the spot and then Ma$e was doing stuff like this, bringing Cam and the early Diplomats around everywhere to get them exposed and BIG instantly fell for Cam's style and got him signed to Lance "Un" Rivera, (who A&R'ed BIG and Jay-Z), at Epic in 97
You got it wrong. Big L inspired Mase and Cam to start rapping. there career was towards basketball until L inspired them thats why Mase copied L's style

I've never heard Mt. Vernon referred to as Uptown. In a formal sense, Harlem, Washington Heights; and Inwood are considered Uptown. In an informal sense or street sense, the South Bronx is considered Uptown as well.
