What's good Kings and Queens I hope everyone's week is going well. This week's video is a special one . Half hour plus special. Around the 7min market theres a strange cut . YT forced me to do that within their application to clear this video . There was a bit of info cut , mostly it was about Danny Green, the win streak he was on and Antonio Tarver on tape praising guys like Carl Froch for making that voyage overseas though no one really acknowledges it. There's an error on Chuck Liddell's status at that time , he was not the UFC champ , shy of winning the an interim title against Randy Couture 2 months prior to this fight .
thanks for the great content as always H....... how about a longer form podcast? I know there is no shortage - but the depth of your knowledge, connections in the game and most importantly, fans first none biased perspective gives you an edge..... fight reviews, previews, assessments of prospects, stables and trainers...... come on H.... give the people what we need!
Favourite fight party was UFC 217 Bisping vs St-Pierre. As a Canadian, getting to see GSP not only fight for the first time but to have a spectacular performance in a legacy defining fight and have everyone in my house cheer for him was special.
What’s even better about Arce and Chavez SR, is that Arce was a kid, maybe 12 years old when Chavez fought Taylor (1st fight). Arces dad came home from work and told Jorge that the fight is tonight, and to go to sleep because they were gonna watch the fight for free early in the morning. Arce woke up early and ran to the bathroom and damn near pissed himself excited while the introductions was taking place. Jorge and his dad were sad thinking Chavez was gonna lose and that 12th round knockout was a special father son moment. They couldn’t watch the fight live because they didn’t have money for the PPV. Now he got a chance to do a exhibition with his idol. Bro, that’s one of the most beautiful stories I heard in this great sport.
My favorite fight party was when Pac-Man fought mayweather. All the marines got drunk in my barracks. After the fight it didn’t matter who won we were split on who won so marines starting yelling, throwing, fighting each other. Eventually it settled down and we bbq later that night.
That fight with Jack Johnson and Stanley, that's one of the best examples as to why there are weight classes. For those people that think somebody is a champion in a lower weight and they can just go up and contend with the big boys, if anything it puts Roy Jones's accomplishment into perspective, since it shows you what Jack Johnson was capable of at the drop of a dime. He didn't even have to think about it or set it up or anything, he just walked over and obliterated the guy, blowing his mouth out in the process...
Seriously though Light heavyweight- Heavyweight are different animals but that Stanley guy was an idiot for not staying with the script lol like what did you think would happen if you didn't knock him out smh
@@WoolfJ35 absolutely!!! I mean at the end of the day, boxers are a different breed and their level of competitiveness is why they are where they are and most of us can't understand it but like you said, what do he think was going to happen?
As impressive as Ray Mercer's ko over Tim Silvia was, what made me appreciate Ray even more was his humbleness through the years stating that the leg kick T8m landed hurt as much as a baseball bat strike and that the ko punch was a lucky shot that hadn't he connected the next leg kick would've probably made him fall to the mat.
Didn't know that , cool to know. Tim was silly standing up with Ray. Hindsight is 2020 but Ray with 4oz gloves lol - plus Tim had wrestling background 🤷
I haven’t even started watching the vid yet but I gotta say; the title of this vid is probably the most captivating shit i ever saw 😂 i said “wtf man this sounds amazing!!!” 😂
This is why I love your content dude! Sometimes Americans and Europeans forget the W in most of the boxing organization stands for "world"! I would love to see legends fight prospect and current champions!
Love your channel! My favorite fight party is a toss up for me. Either Trinidad vs Mayorga or Trinidad vs Vargas. Mainly because it was around the time that I started paying attention to boxing events. Build up, press conferences, trash talking, weigh ins, undercard. Everything. Not just watching 2 guys box!
Always look forward to these videos. My first fight party was Tyson-Holyfield 1. My late granparents came over and some other family and we all watched Tyson lose his mojo.
I feel like this is the only time I can talk about a mma fight but the best fight party was UFC 68, Randy Couture VS Tim Sylvia. My dude Mike Kirby was hosting about 22 people and didn't charge at the door. People we're so hyped about this cause it was in my state of Ohio and People just hated Tim Sylvia. Randy was coming off of a brutal knockout loss to Chuck Liddell and everyone was sleeping on Randy. Not me. I even had my douchy Affliction shirt they made for him on. The tension was so thick until the bell rang. In the opening 10 seconds was, Randy hit Tim with a right hand and almost slept him! We we louder than the 15000 people at the area. Couture went on to dominate the fight and win a wide unanimous decision. Mike Kirby neighbors called the cops and he wound up getting a warning from his landlord. 👋
Props man. HBO boxing was my thing, lampley, merchant, Roy, George, Lewis and others who joined them. Now it's gone, sadly boxing seems to be gassing out like wilder in the 3rd round. Your channel keeps that love I have for the sport going despite that sad truth.
My fav fight party was probably for the first Bradley-Pac fight which was more a party because Pac took over the fight. It wasn’t until the decision was announced that people wondered if they were too inebriated to have seen the fight right.
Hardcore boxing and mma fan here. That opening gave me chills, but it’s such a ridiculous moment in combat sports history 😂. Surprises me how many fans from both sides don’t know about that contest lol
Pacman went on so many side missions, from being an actor, to politics, being a singer, becoming a professional basketball player, owning a basketball league, and running for president.
Ray Mercer was no joke and he respected MMA more than he was letting on, too. Always loved that K.O. Sylvia honestly asked for it with fainting that low kick when you consider the circumstances.
Little correction: Chuck was not the UFC light heavyweight champion when he fought in the Pride Grand Prix in 2003, as he had lost an interim championship fight against Randy Couture before joining the GP. He would win in in 2005 in a rematch against Couture.
I love watching these videos and learning about boxing. I need to start catching the fights but the fighters I actually know don't fight that much. Spence vs Crawford is gonna be lit though, I have to see that.
Non-boxing but a few years back, my roommates invited me to watch Khabib vs McGregor at a friend's place. I had kept up with the UFC sparingly but knew the beef Conor and Khabib. The main card was fun to watch but the main event brought a different type of energy in the apartment. Most was pro McGregor but I rooted for Khabib. Everybody was screaming at the TV. The place got even more loud and stunned after Khabib landed that knockdown shot on McGregor. Myself and a roommate went insane seeing Conor tap then be announced the winner after the post fight brawl. Been to a few more but nothing comes close to the energy of that.
I remember when Chavez fought and everyone would post outside their house "$5.00" to see his fight here in South Central LA all over the place, my uncle would always buy the fights and would also do a "Condína" or "Raffle" at a set price and passing around paper with the round you may win with if you pay... As we later on started doing our own parties in ELA, as I started buying the PPVs myself, as I was the only fight fan around and years after my uncle passed, years later in my brother in law's house I got them into it (I have 5 sis and 2 of them still host fights to this day!), But now no one talks to me and don't get invited also cause I don't smoke or drink anymore, 🤣😂🤣😂😂
I love being Mexican bro13:00. Love when the culture appreciates and supports true boxers I don’t have much money but I’d give my laT cent to watch that live.
I went to a sports bar to watch Pacman vs Cotto. At the time I was living in south Florida so it was packed of Puerto Ricans. The atmosphere was insane and the fight was great. Everyone there had a great time
my favorite fight party was maymac. we had a projecter aimed at the side of my house and the whole neighborhood showed out. rowdiest night of my 16 year long life at that time.
My favourite fight party was back in 1999 when Lennox Lewis best Evander Holyfield for the undisputed heavyweight championship. Being from the UK, it was about 4 o'clock in the morning and it ended up just being me and my cousin awake for the fight.
A better nit pic, Chuck Liddell wasn't the UFC heavyweight champion at the time he went to Pride. He lost the belt to Randy Couture in June of that year. before going to pride to compete in the Grand Prix. Overall great video.
I really enjoy your video content.. I have a new found respect for Japanese boxing. Most of the lower weight classes don't get the proper exposure in the western world.
Hey man, great video as always. I’m a long time follower of your work on RUclips and, if you ever wanted some suggestions for new videos, I would very much like to see a video about boxers who are talking in the ring. Not especially trash talking but just talking, I have in mind the Canelo vs Plant fight where we could see the 2 exchange some words mid-fight, I think there was some talking in the Canelo - Mayweather… you can probably include some of the Lomachenko fights, either when he’s talking to the corner or directly to the opponent… anyway, just a cool up subject I’d like tor see someday ^^ Keep up the good work my man ! ❤🔥👊
Favorite fight party (yea it’s late asf) was Canelo vs Saunders because it was my only one and my friends didn’t know much about boxing but I got them into it with it

I like how Hancho broke down those exhibition fights in the last part of the video. Exquizite content as usual
jack johnson's move was the epitome of "fuck around find out". also, love that you got a peak into Filipino fight fan culture!

I saw the fight sober and thought Tim won clean. Pac was too inactive.

This might be my favorite Hancho vid yet! Such a wonderful representation of the sport. Thanks for this, mate
Ok I gotta take the time out and give you your props for pronouncing that name at 8:10. I could've never said that in one go 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I knew today was going to be a good day!! Hancho uploading just proved it.. 🔥🔥
I read the title and immediate thought of a boxer stopping the fight mid match to attack someone in the crowd.
Average Andrew Golota fight.
Love your story, as well as your journalism. Insightful as always. Have you considered writing a book of your experiences? I'd buy it!

Pacman went on so many side missions, from being an actor, to politics, being a singer, becoming a professional basketball player, owning a basketball league, and running for president.
I haven't been back on this channel in a min, but the content is still amazing as usual!!!
fckn Inoue is breaking my heart with his 2 fights per year schedule. Wish he fought more often. After all, he's hardly ever hurt from his fights.
