One flaw in your video it’s not rockstar it’s Take Two interactive they are responsible for monetization in rockstar games hence why they were the parent company doing the dmca take downs rockstar creates the games take-two makes it profitable.
@@turbobandana2159 well yes, kinda. Rockstar still has legal independence. What happens is that they typically focus all litigious affairs in one office. So if you ever get a DMCA it will always come signed as Takw Two. But Rockstar can still propose and initiate decision processes from what I've seen. So we can't really know for sure who is mostly responsible for the creation and decline of the game due to microtransactions.
@@ObviousMalcolm_PLUS one thing everyone seems to forget is that rdr2 was a fantastic game. The devs aren't lazy or greedy. People think games like rdr2 just fall out of the sky left and right? These games take many many years to develop and perfect and polish. The attention to detail and graphical fidelity of rdr2 is still unmatched today. Pretty much nothing on the market comes close even five years later. Rdo didn't deserve to be abandoned but when all any rockstar fan plays is GTA online of course they are gonna be a cynic. I don't play GTA online as that sorta crap just doesn't appeal to me. If you guys think rockstar is just lazy and doesn't innovate then you clearly have no understanding of the inner workings of game development let alone game development on the largest scale ever. They have the entire world on their shoulders and GTA 6 has to deliver anything and everything perfectly with no flaws just for people to be half satisfied and people are upset it's taking awhile? Gimme a break...it's not a lack of innovation it's the fact that the studio is making the biggest most influential and most expensive piece of media in human history. No big deal tho... should only take em all a week to develop the entire game front to back. In the meantime they should stop being so lazy...
@@Binglitpawnrockstar isn’t lazy, they just like money. Money matters the most to them, hence why they’re gonna focus on gta online 24/7. Then, when gta 6 comes out, after a few months once everyone has played the story there won’t be any story dlcs and then they’ll focus on gta online 2 for the next 10 years etc.
Yep. Even their radio stations have a video game commercial making fun of FPS being so similar. Then they release the EXACT SAME GAME (not even something similar) on 3 different generations of consoles at the expense of adding a new installment. How ironic and hypocritical!
or rather ANY competition. They destroyed all many years ago and then milked their cow. Thats actually the worst thing that could happen. Now we have absolutely NOTHING from this franchise for so many years. Or sometimes we get stupid cash grabs like saints row reboot... However that aint no competition at all.
Watch Dogs came close with it's hacking, but maps are too small, there is little customisation and poor stories (although WD1 had an ok story imo) i think the legion mechanic in WD3 is overlooked though, you can basically start your own gang, picking whoever you want out of a million citizens.
@@NewOrderOfAlexandria maps are quite good in size and detail. They have living worlds. At least 1 and 2. WD1 has the best atmosphere. However WD series are focused mostly on hackings, and a bit on driving/shooting but that's about it. I would love to have GTAs with those maps though.
RDO 2 was ten times better the game as far as potential goes but at least Rockstar was shameless enough to actually outright admitting that they pulled the plug on RDO 2 because that game didn't have microtransaction revinue like GTA! Greed overshadowed common sense!
They could’ve done a lot with RDO and RD itself update and dlc wise like for example letting you buy ranches that clearly said for sale and then I know it might be stretching it but they could like do a time skip and make it to 1900 who wouldn’t enjoy the transition from horses /carriages to driving in the OG classics
Im new to GTA Online on the PS4 (because the PS3 one shut down in 2021). And my God, getting money is hard to the point that it isnt even fun. Im so broke and honestly, im too lazy to grind for money. Gaming should be an escape, not a job. Now, im considering quitting.
You re absolutely right. And its sad too, considering GTA Online had so much potential for being a great online experience where people would be running businesses in a fun and meaningful way. But as of right now you spend hours and hours of effort to accumulate money, only to buy an overpriced car that will satisfy you for a whole 10 minutes. When the game should be about having fun with players and developing our business with people
@@callthepolice4988 you have more ways of making it now true. But comparing with today's inflation you ll have to grind way more for the new content than when it first started
@@ObviousMalcolm_PLUS gta online is really grindy for lvl 1 player who want to play legit and dont want to do money glitches. Cayo was blessing in 2020 but it got nerfed last year.
Been saying this for a while this is the problem with so much online gaming and content it's made game developers become lazy and less moviated to create new things when they can just milk all the money from online content. Really in so many ways the internet has helped humanity but there's so many ways it ruined it too.
It's not the developers, it's the greedy suits at the top of Tak€ Two Interactive. If it were up to the developers, best believe we would've had amazing and intricate singleplayer DLC for both GTA 5 and RDR 2.
@@Ubermensch201 And if there are more bad things than good things, eventually it will lead to a crisis that threatens to destroy everything if not resolved.
Great video but not gonna lie I got a little annoyed when you lumped in saints row with the "open world games trying to copy Rockstar" camp. Thats one of the main reasons the saints franchise got ruined cause the studio got tired of being compared to gta even though if you played the series even the first two titles they were drastically different from gta. And them going more off the rails with each installment to try to differentiate from Rockstar basically put the series at a dead end with the 4th game, and now we're left with a terrible reboot thst has killed the series for now. Saints row will never be as successful as gta but its not a gta clone. Not every open world crime game was trying to be gta, and now Rockstar basically don't have any competition which allows them to get away with all their misdeeds and this "gta clone" rhetoric has played a large part in that
Saints Row being a GTA clone is not a negative comment. Their best game was the second, of which in a lot of elements they brought in new cool concepts that even GTA didn't have. But there's no denying the whole genre was based off the type of open world exploration Rockstar pioneered with the series. I guess in the end, the conflict is whether you consider a clone a bad thing. Of which i do not. Sometimes you don't have to be the first. You just have to better or at the very least good. And the first Saints Row games were good. But it was clear they followed a formula
This doesn’t paint the actual picture. GTA Online is just a side thing which them a lot of money while Rockstar is busy with their main projects. How do you think RDR2 was made while GTA Online already existed for 5 years before it released?
It’s like rockstar designed the game to frustrate players. Like programming AI to have 100% accuracy, NPCs to swerve and crash into you and the raids to happen.
Don't forget the full auto NPC "glitch" that is still in the game after 9 years. Shooting in RDO, even if the whole online version of RDR2 is also so broken, is at least fun and you actually feel good shooting at NPCs. I don't even expect miracles of a new engine. I would just like them to spawn normally and be proportional in their accuracy
@@medmuscle yeah I got that with buzzard killing me repeatedly, couldn’t shoot it down because it would respawn instantly and every time I died I spawned further away from the road. The most I’ve ever raged at this game :’)
I think my main issue with GTA online and RDO is that they seem to not care about the modders and hackers which I probably wouldn’t care as much about if they kept to themselves but more often than not they go about harassing others
I think the problem is they really can't do that much about it because they decided to make the servers P2P instead of dedicated, and to effectively patch hacks and exploits they would have to remake the entire online networking aspect of the game, which is by far the most complicated part of game development and would cost them too much money to be worth it, especially since the game is still (somehow?) a money printer in its current broken state, and even with all that hackers would still easily adapt and overcome as they always do, so the cost/benefit analysis is pretty simple here. All we can do is pray that they learn from their mistakes and actually put some effort into gta6 online.
Lol I use hacks on my PC …. But not to mess with players . When I see another Modder causing havoc on the server I crash their session… if I see someone just constantly flying around bombing people I teleport them to the ocean and trap them in a cage.
Rockstar in its golden age was considered the best mainly because they weren't afraid of controversy or trying something new, gta 3 changed the perspective of its predecessors and continued to evolve throughout the series, but the thing is rockstar had the balls to make fun of micro transactions and parody it in game and games like bully was perfect as it parody what it's like being a kid high school, manhunt parodies snuff films irl, max payne was like a novel, la noir was about detectives in the 1940s, midnight club showed us how cars changed in the early 2000s and so much more its like rockstar were considered the best company in terms of quality but as the years went by I feel like the higher ups at rockstar were starting to get money hungry and don't allow any sort of communication from its fan base nor do they care about when they're gonna make a new game thanks to gta online rockstars favorite child
Max Payne isn't originally a R* game as it was created by Remedy who made first 2 Max Payne games where R* published Max Payne 2 and helped with console ports on MP1. Max Payne 3 is only game that was purely made by R* but technically its not their own creation as they just brought the IP.
Wtf why is this video not viral yet?! the editing is crazy good and I expected way more Subscribers and more Views, the Script was written greatly and is in point.
I really appreciate that. Sometimes it takes time or it never happens but knowing people like it already gives me a sense that this wasn't a waste of time at all. ♥ Loved making it
It doesn’t paint the right picture of Rockstar. GTA Online is just a side thing while most of Rockstar is always working on their next main project and it makes them a good income while they’re working.
My GTA Online Experience: 1. I spawn, I run Forward, I instantly die. 2. I spawn, I run Left, I instantly die. 3. I spawn, I run Right, I instantly die. 4. I never enter the game again.
You are so right about not playing in freemode! I used to play this online all the time from release and now I barely play it and when I do it’s in invite only to grind on double money or xp/ updates with friends but come to think of it, why? I’m never gonna play in a public freemode again so why grind 😢 miss the days of gta 4 online when skill was what made you and not how many shark cards you’ve bought or what guns unlock at levels
I know what happened to Rockstar the creative people have been put in the back room while the business people have been in the front row who only care about counting money
How do you think RDR2 was made while GTA Online existed for 5 years already? Most of Rockstar was working on that, not Gta Online, just like they’re doing with Gta 6.
When GTAV came out, the multiplayer was focused around fun first, profits second When RDR2 came out, the multiplayer was focused on profits first, fun second... It flopped massively Will Rockstar learn from their mistakes when GTAVI comes out? Sadly probably not
So much of GTA producers, artists, and writers have left rockstar. This is one of the main reasons on gta6 taking so long. How can you beat the perfection of gta5, when that game, a decade later still makes hunders of millions a year in revenue. Rockstar turned into their own enemy
It only makes hundreds of millions a year in revenue because there's nothing else for the players. They aren't pressed to release GTA 6 because they're still milking the shit out of GTA Online.
The passion Rockstar once had has been replaced with corporate greed. That’s why their quality is slipping and why they continue to milk GTA5 Online. It’s not about the craft anymore, it’s all about the money.
Dude! This video made me subscribe to your channel. You nailed very important points and backed it up with cold hard facts. Nice one. Please keep up the good work. 👍
Not saying this feller doesn't deserve views or subs, but that goes without saying these points and facts you speak of have been raised by many members of the community. Most of your content creators tend to brush it off because, well, they make money off this bullshit too. We all just have to let it go. There are a plethora of different games and experiences to have. Take a break, they need it.
I have lost every hope for GTA 6 being at least somewhat good. They way they took with GTA 5 just showed that this company is going down if they change nothing.
Yep, not excited about GTA 6. I know the leaks were old but what I saw was a modded RDR2 with bits and pieces plucked from the older GTA games. It's going to be a Frankenstein's Monster and I suspect will feature a pointlessly vast map and lots of boring over-realistic side activities. If I want to go fishing or oil my hunting rifle, I'm not going to buy a video game to do it. I'll do that in real life.
Sadly, it isn't just Rockstar. Since gaming went from being a niche hobby to the mainstream, many AAA publishers discovered they could make more money selling low-quality garbage to the masses than making high-quality games for hardcore gamers. If you look at any beloved gaming franchise being run into the dirt today, it seems like madness. Once you realize it's all about minimizing expenses and maximizing profits, everything makes perfect sense. Thank god for indie games!
Saints row 3 was created in November 15, 2011 and gta v was created in September 17, 2013 so this tells rockstar has been stealing from Activision behind their backs the whole time prior to the oppressor that they stole and duplicated
Completely agree with you. The sad thing is that when Rockstar truly apply themselves, they can make some amazing games. RDR2 was a masterpiece, so very detailed in ways that aren't always appreciated. I truly loved the narrative, which would have been Oscar-worthy if it had been a movie. But with the way Rockstar treated the game, you'd think it had been this massive failure. But it wasn't. It was just that it went up against GTA-Online, a huge money maker, which has heavily skewed it towards unrealistic expectations. Rockstar should never have expected the same out of RDR Online. How sad is it that RDR2 being the newer more detailed game, got mostly ignored, in favour of a game originally released in 2013! Are we expecting that Rockstar will be fully devoted to GTA 6 when it releases, or will it keep milking the previous? I kind of wish Rockstar would spin off their online teams into a separate studio to let the main ones continue to actually make games.
Wonderful video. personally, I don’t consider Saint’s Row a GTA clone, I actually prefer SR2 over GTA 4. It’s just my opinion. The statement regarding on Cuckstar’s music addiction is spot on. Not much people call this action out. Cuckstar basically recycle old content and release them as “new”. The Drug wars DLC is dripfeed hell.
13:48 don't forget they are too lazy to renew licenses for the old games, so half of the good songs from the radio stations from the classic GTAs were absent in their anniversary and definitive editions.
I think regardless of what rockstar pushes, the player base won’t drop too much until gta 6 or something bigger/better comes out, solely because it gives people a “life” that they’re in control of, where they can earn those high expense items without having leave the couch or chair or whatever. It’s an escape into the CEO’s of todays regular lives that many people fear they will never accomplish or acquire. It’s just sad though that they’ve intentionally nuked the game with so much content that any new players will feel like they need to spend money to start making it or keep up with older players. In the og days of online, it never felt like you needed to spend a single penny because in a couple days or weeks of regular play you could realistically attain most things you wanted and do dumb shit with your friends. Now, if a group of 3-4 friends hop into the game as new players, it’s seems like to even start enjoying it you have to invest hundreds or thousands of hours before it even becomes enjoyable. Sad direction of a once great game and company :/
I have literally been saying that for years. GTA online is nothing but a fucking grindfest! And it's not even aimed to make it fun for people to play online together, hell they should have just given us single player DLC
Bro all the DLCs you guys got for online were single player DLC that got chopped up and then turned into an online DLC that made way more money than the single-player probably would have ever made.. Good video BTW
12:25 GTA 6 has been in development at least since 2014, there was a leak about it where you can see an alpha build that was made around 2019 there are not lacking anything. Their policy of making game seems to be "when it goes out, it has to be perfect". They have multiple studio to make game in parallel but they don't.
GTA Online - Pay us real money and you can cheat with an invincible rocket motorcycle. Red Dead Online - Grind for eight hours and you can choose from a gigantic variety of ugly ass hats.
There is an Easter egg string in rdr2 of letters between devs explaining how the establishment have taken over their company and they must leave. Released in 2018, and they both ended up leaving. They warned us. Ima not fund any other rockstar games until I assure quality.
To put it simply, the in-game Dinka Kanjo SJ costs over $1.3 million, whereas its real-life counterpart, a 5th generation Honda Civic EJ coupe wouldn't even cost $100,000 brand-new. This is the inflation of GTA Online that upsets me and has made me stop playing GTA Online. The lack of updates and new content for GTA V story mode has also made me stop playing it for the most part as well.
I've been saying something parallel to this, but what I prefer was more gang sets, made Los Santos a lot bigger, make Davis and a dlc for Franklin, Michael and Trevor having their own spinoff with at least 8-15 missions and been done with it, and a Families vs Ballas edition on how the African American gangs started, and I know it wasn't in no 80s, so I'm guessing the flourishing and concept of the gangs, formulated around the late 60s early 70s, and progressed to what is.
The whole Online mode needs a complete overhaul...Online should have Just imagine if Gta Online implemented all the gangs already in the game as part of an interactive rpg like realistic world. Where you could choose to align yourself with what gang you choose. Each Gang and MC already in the game could have its own exclusive unlockable perks, like Property, Gang Hideouts, Weapons, Skills, Vehicles, Clothes, Paint Jobs, and Respect to command Rpg members in time. Relationship meters for each gang where what you do and the jobs you take actually influence your relationship with the gangs. Regular Business like Diners, Pizza Shops, Laundry ect could all be used as extra gang fronts where you could hire other players to work at and move thru the ranks with you. In time you could hire and train Npc's upgrading their ranks and skills as you take them on more heists jobs and gang wars. They could eventually do the same thing with Law Enforcement where if someone decides to become a cop they can unlock these ability's in a similar way. This would make the players actually a part of the living breathing world to build upon vs the random thoughtless free for all where all the players are forced to follow the same exact story and watch all the same cut scenes, unlocking all the same things. Where what they do really has no effect on the world or personalization on anything. There could even be two types of lobbies... Lobbies for the kids who want and love all the mindless free for all with all the fake vehicles and laser guns there is right now Realistic Crime Rpg Lobbies with all the elements I just described. both of these types of lobby's could keep getting their own Dlc's exclusive to their fanbase... This would get Rockstar to draw mass revenue from both main types of Gta Fans..As iv'e noticed a divide between the Cartoonish Saints Row style fans and the Realistic GTA fans (Hell, they could even use Gta 6 Online to build this type of Realistic Online and keep Gta 5 Online for the Crazy Cartoon stuff, eventually adding each audience the others City thru the airport, adding to each fanbases exclusive world )
Rockstar should add non PVP sessions. That way we could still interact with random people and co-op in freemode without the risk of dealing with griefers and Godmode abusers..
All the people over the year's that called GTA competitor's " GTA Clone" can take some of the blame for Rockstar's downfall. "GTA clones" were always welcomed in my mind, yet so many people shiii all over them.
Doing this video took a whole lot of time but it was fun. If I could have your like 👍 it would mean so much! If you wanna see more Rockstar mess, here's their GTA Definitive Edition in 2023 state: ruclips.net/video/mmowkj5sxog/видео.html Thank you, you beautiful gems 💎
I have 36 million dollars in the game I own all the businesses I own all the weaponized vehicles I could ever want I have no interest in buying anything else I just go on the game and drive my car for like 10 minutes and then I go and play something else I just feel like I wasted my time with the game. And I have paid $0.00 for Shark cards in the game I grinded my money legit
What was worth you in the first half but kind of fell off in the second half of the video. Some of the problems you identify aren’t really central to rockstars decline etc. single player GTA is what it’s about
I'm a 63 year old, hippie gamer freak. I agree 100%. Rockstar for me is Rdr2 Story Mode. Everything else is dead to me. In otherwords, I'm done with Griftstar and Take Money.
I understand due to GTA Online everyone wants to hit the heights of this 'Live Service'. However when WB Games patented the 'Nemesis' system they actually killed innovation.
This is the same take that people had before RDR 2 even got announced Rockstar's creative effort will ever go to waste on Online services, they know their main bulk are the kickass games that they put out
They need to completely redesign GTA Online for GTA 6 and implement a lot of the anti-griefing measures they added to RD2:O like not showing people on the map all the time unless they start getting aggressive a lot, and after getting killed more than once you can teleport far away from the griefer.
I respectfully agree to disagree to some extent. I disagree with you low quantity of games being a bad thing because games nowadays take a VERY long time compared to how they used to. Decades ago a game could be made with 1-4 people. Now games like RDR2 NEED all that time to make it a masterpiece. RDR2 is the best story mode I’ve ever played and I’d much rather wait that time for such a complex world then get something lower quality quicker. GTA online I’m mixed but it would take a while to explain.
That is a myth. Even if the games become way more complex nowadays, so do tools and resources. If anything, it it is today that you can see really good quality projects being developed by one man team with Unreal Engine, let alone small indie teams. Rockstar has a bigger workforce than Activision yet they dont release a single game in a 5 year span (2013-2018). I dont want Rockstar to rush, I agree with that. But asking for a game with a 9 year development isn't asking for a rushed game. They had plenty of time. Time if which they decided to focus on Online elements and music.
RDR2 and GTA are made by different studios under the Rockstar banner. They have SO MANY studios under their banner so it's baffling how low the amount of games they have released since 2013
usually I don't leave a comment on videos because I think its wasting time but seeing someone really want to speak on things like this I watched the whole 17 minutes video without skipping rockstar really need watch this video man keep up the good work 👍
Finally someone is talking about ur this, gta rp on pc is a perfect example of the community being the utilised in a game, I have no idea why rockstar aren’t taking notes
Rockstar used to produce great games one after another. Then GTA V: Online happened. That’s really all there is to say. Red Dead Redemption II is great, but any new games on the horizon? Anything brand new? Continuations of other franchises or to build off of? The Definitive Edition of the GTA Trilogy was a bust and not handled well. We know GTA VI is happening, but thanks to the leaks that occurred, that game is delayed by another two or three years at minimum. So yeah.
You know, if it wasn't for gta online then we would've got a lot of new games every year like we used to get in the 2000s era. Now i just wish Rockstar Games better not make online games anymore cause they would milk that too and not create any new games
Let's just make it clear: Rockstar is only making the games. It's Take 2 Interactive that decides where it's all heading. And if Rockstar don't comply... they're not mass producing and selling their game.
the most disappointing thing about the priority placed on the profit that GTAO generate is that it pushed them to purely sacrifice Red Dead Online which really had a great potential while keeping everything down to earth (i don't think they would've dare to put flying rocketing horse in it). But as I oftenly said don't forget that T2 mainly push Rockstar in that whole wrong direction nowadays, At the beginning Rockstar was that rebel and creative studio that put its balls on the table but now they are too stuck into staying profitable.
Man, this is an amazing video with the editing. You got a new sub!! I agree with you completely. I wish rockstar would have a leveling system. Every time there's a new DLC, you can buy almost everything no matter what level you are. This changed in Red dead Online and . I hate that almost everything is free if you have a modded account with millions or billions of dollars. Every car that comes out, you can purchase it. I wish there was a challenge like how Red Dead Online has. I hope the next GTA game has that system as well. I hate getting everything for free without a challenge.
Downfall of gta started because ( Saints Row 2 being a better game then GTA 4 ) saints row downfall because of gta 5 online just took everything and made it their own version ! So really it’s a win for rockstar
It’s really simple fix to the griefing issue, all they gotta do is take the orbital cannon out of the online & make it where you can only auto-aim and lock on missiles to NPC’s. That’s it a simple switch
I completely agree. When I got on online I expected it to be an online simulation game of modern LA but instead it's just call of duty in a gta lobby. It's sad that moded PC roleplay servers are way more fun than the actual online servers made by Rockstar. I like that you can own businesses but its way too grindy due to things be priced so ridiculously. It's like the game wants you to get frustrated and just buy a shark card. I wouldn't mind the grind honestly if it actually meant something in the game. But no body cares what you have they just assume you probably cheated or bought a shark card. All the money you make and property you own is meaningless. Gta online is just a bunch of kids shooting each other and flying down the road crashing into buildings and knocking over street lights. Nobody has any sense of roleplay. It's just a chaotic free for all lol
The grind was never that bad if you played from the start of the game as new things came out I usaly had the money for it or the means to get the money in a fair amount of time. As they kept adding things though I could see it just being completely overwhelming to anyone who hasn't played the game for the last decade 🤣
@@mcNuggetMuncher also most people just buy the wrong things that are either useless or just not good for money making like a document forgery or club right away.
Your expectations were too high lmao, if you thought GTAO would've been like a simulation of LA then that's your fault. If you want roleplay go to FiveM, the main game isn't for roleplay
One of the most head scratching parts of this video is at 13:43 when he says that the Cayo Perico heist had a lot of shortcomings... What exactly is he talking about? I cant remember a single complaint about that DLC, and then he goes on to blame the fact that they spent time getting Dr. Dre in the DLC but if you would have read much of anything about those 2 DLC's you would know that it was Dre's team that reached out to Rockstar to be included because of how much fun Dr. Dre had when he was introduced to the game.
Gta 6 will be big but if it doesn’t live up to the high expectations i wonder what their next game will be… the new gta company seems like they are purposely trying to burn down the legacy it has and im confused why they dont listen to their fan base? They are snakes and lazy it seems like especially putting out that shitty definitive game and the latest GTA DLC are just re used content with minor changes
Yup. If it doesn't bribe us by being the most amazing game we ve ever seen, the little faith we have won't survive another blow, since they release new GTA every decade not year
I'm not excited about GTA 6. I just have a gut feeling that it'll be a disappointment in many ways, but if that happens Rockstar will be wide open to people saying "We've waited x years for this?!?". So they have no option but to smash it.
I think it will be their magnum opus. RDR2 gave us a very good idea of what’s possible. GTA5 massively let me down but RDR2 restored some faith…it showed me they still have the ability to be great when they just get their heads straight and stop being at the mercy of the online community
There's no competition. for Rockstar, their 10 year old game is still un-matched, where's all the other game creators at? Their slacking, cant match a decade old game even in 2023
I feel like the leaker made rockstar work on gta 6 there statement “we were not ready to show the world or some bs like that” must of been in that state for years now
I really hate how companies are going, Rockstar was making masterpieces now only wants cash from GTA 5 lets RDR2 die, Volition making SR1 and SR2 and then makes whatever they call this new Saints Row, EA actually making good games but now locked behind micro-transactions. Why can’t we just go back to the way it was before
Saints Row was never a GTA clone, Rockstar doesn't own the open world crime genre. In fact the second Saints Row tried to be "unique", Rockstar got cocky thinking they could get away with everything now that their rival was gone. That's when this shit happened. Ironically, Rockstar started to copy off of Saints Row. That flying bike you despise so much, that came from Saints Row the Third.
Its done on purpose. In a room with yellow walls, you will not ever have a good white light reflection. So i said fu-- it, im embracing the yellow room. I dont want it to look good. I want it to feel good
Yeah Rockstar has really let me down. I had such high hopes and expectations for RDO. They never gave us the outlaw life they promised. The most outlaw thing you can do is sell some alcohol. There's no train robberies, no bank robberies, no heists, nothing that'd make your character an outlaw other than merkin other players. The fact that Rockstar did nothing to truly make RDO the outlaw experience we all expected it to be shows how trash they are as a developer now. Rockstar killed their own game for crying out loud. They killed RDO by not giving us the paying customer what we wanted most of all game modes that made us feel like outlaws. I mean they added that lame ass capital crap and they added a save the town game mode. I wanted to be a gunslinging outlaw that robbed everything and everyone around, but no, they gave us bullshit. I will be boycotting any new Rockstar games, im done with them as a developer and their stupid ass microtransactions.
Agree 100% I just feel like they’re scared of the “GTA RIPOFF” spam reviews when in all reality….all open world games took GTA’s blueprint and built upon it (no shade and it’s no issue) Saint Row I feel is the epitome of that. They were going STRONG and actually puttin fire under rockstars ass until the” Gat Outta Hell” & “Crackdown rip-off” sequels it’s just all fucked lol
@@adrianjones4806 yeah thats true! The thing is if they are going to do a game similar to GTA they need to do it well with the same lvl of detail rockstar puts in their game, that way people wont really care that its similar to gta, they would imbrace it as a new competitor to it. Like you said saints row was doing good until the 4th.

Great video. Red dead 2 is my favourite game ever and always loved GTA franchise then I started to play red dead online and GTA online.i liked red dead online but the amount of work rockstar put in it was laughable. New update where you have to hunt but also break animal spawns so you can’t. 9 months to fix. Blood money update. Just recycled old missions. Outlaw past which costs like 40 gold bars for you then to have to grind to get the stuff you’ve just paid for. Tried Gta online and honestly it became like a job. I found myself listening to podcast while I did some boring sell mission for the 100th time. I suddenly thought what the hell am I doing?!
Yep. Even their radio stations have a video game commercial making fun of FPS being so similar. Then they release the EXACT SAME GAME (not even something similar) on 3 different generations of consoles at the expense of adding a new installment. How ironic and hypocritical!

It's not just greed, it's also the lack of any real competition too.
That too. Monopolies dont benefit gamers at all
Facts, there still hasn’t been an open world game to top gta 5.
or rather ANY competition.

The pin point accuracy of NPC’s is insane. Sick of spawning in an area and my body eating 200000 bullets in 0.3 seconds
Yeah if you die in certain missions, they spawn you with no cover and you are dead in 5 seconds before you can get to cover.
@@medmuscle yeah I got that with buzzard killing me repeatedly, couldn’t shoot it down because it would respawn instantly and every time I died I spawned further away from the road. The most I’ve ever raged at this game :’)
The cars did that in IV too. But yes I agree mostly it’s designed to make sure you don’t win lol
Not the problem, the game is boring on console too.
@@Magst3r1 sometimes, but atleast free of modders and script kiddies 😂
Lol I use hacks on my PC …. But not to mess with players . When I see another Modder causing havoc on the server I crash their session… if I see someone just constantly flying around bombing people I teleport them to the ocean and trap them in a cage.
RDO cheaters are giga chads,i dont mind them but those damn little toxic kids on gta online is what i truly hate

I don’t know if people want to hear it. But they need to. The decline of GTA is largely the fault of online players.
It doesn’t paint the right picture of Rockstar. GTA Online is just a side thing while most of Rockstar is always working on their next main project and it makes them a good income while they’re working.

When RDR2 came out, the multiplayer was focused on profits first, fun second... It flopped massively
Will Rockstar learn from their mistakes when GTAVI comes out?

Most of your content creators tend to brush it off because, well, they make money off this bullshit too.
We all just have to let it go. There are a plethora of different games and experiences to have. Take a break, they need it.
I have lost every hope for GTA 6 being at least somewhat good. They way they took with GTA 5 just showed that this company is going down if they change nothing.
you are not alone
With who they fired most of the team who worked on red dead mist like ea with battlefield 2042 most people were fired that worked on battlefield 4
I understand. In the end of the day its always a relative persception of what you think its a clone

The single player was a 10/10 (for me) but man the multiplayer...
It's Take-Two's fault, they made Rockstar into what it is today.
I'd change Hitler's death for Strauss Zelnick life, no second thought.
The whole Online mode needs a complete overhaul...Online should have
Just imagine if Gta Online implemented all the gangs already in the game as part of an interactive rpg like realistic world.
Lobbies for the kids who want and love all the mindless free for all with all the fake vehicles and laser guns there is right now
Realistic Crime Rpg Lobbies with all the elements I just described. both of these types of lobby's could keep getting their own Dlc's exclusive to their fanbase...
This would get Rockstar to draw mass revenue from both main types of Gta Fans..As iv'e noticed a divide between the Cartoonish Saints Row style fans and the Realistic GTA fans
(Hell, they could even use Gta 6 Online to build this type of Realistic Online and keep Gta 5 Online for the Crazy Cartoon stuff, eventually adding each audience the others City thru the airport, adding to each fanbases exclusive world )
Rockstar should add non PVP sessions.

They need to completely redesign GTA Online for GTA 6 and implement a lot of the anti-griefing measures they added to RD2:O like not showing people on the map all the time unless they start getting aggressive a lot, and after getting killed more than once you can teleport far away from the griefer.
I really have to give some compliments to this video, damn, the editing, the ‘script’, the explanation, props to you!

They have SO MANY studios under their banner so it's baffling how low the amount of games they have released since 2013
It still sucks how they won't make another midnight club!

Yup. Maybe even a Bully 2 by now
Vice City is, was, and always will be my favorite 👍🏽
To me is SA but I can see why Vice City can be the favorite of so many. Its so damn iconic and unique
@@ObviousMalcolm_PLUS San Andreas is a very close 2nd place I still love it
Sad part is the board will jump ship when people stop buying shark cards and GTAVI will suffer.
Great video man I enjoyed this. Editing was smooth and it kept me interested the whole way
Let's just make it clear: Rockstar is only making the games.
It's Take 2 Interactive that decides where it's all heading.
And if Rockstar don't comply... they're not mass producing and selling their game.
Been following ever since watching u stream the premiere of Bf 2042 trailer. Still follow ever since
That's great to hear
the most disappointing thing about the priority placed on the profit that GTAO generate is that it pushed them to purely sacrifice Red Dead Online which really had a great potential while keeping everything down to earth (i don't think they would've dare to put flying rocketing horse in it).
But as I oftenly said don't forget that T2 mainly push Rockstar in that whole wrong direction nowadays, At the beginning Rockstar was that rebel and creative studio that put its balls on the table but now they are too stuck into staying profitable.
rockstar now embodies greed.
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Downfall of gta started because ( Saints Row 2 being a better game then GTA 4 ) saints row downfall because of gta 5 online just took everything and made it their own version ! So really it’s a win for rockstar
How does this video not have more views? It's really well made, and I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work man, you just got a sub from me :)
Ayyy i appreciate that
It’s really simple fix to the griefing issue, all they gotta do is take the orbital cannon out of the online & make it where you can only auto-aim and lock on missiles to NPC’s.
Literally a clear cut case of them wanting money over just making good games and it’s actually really frickin sad
Seriously good video man!
(Grande video meu, adorei :) )
One of the most head scratching parts of this video is at 13:43 when he says that the Cayo Perico heist had a lot of shortcomings... What exactly is he talking about? I cant remember a single complaint about that DLC, and then he goes on to blame the fact that they spent time getting Dr. Dre in the DLC but if you would have read much of anything about those 2 DLC's you would know that it was Dre's team that reached out to Rockstar to be included because of how much fun Dr. Dre had when he was introduced to the game.
The number 1 goal of a business is to make money
Just like the rest of the gaming industry.....
The internet has ruined it.
Bro if GTA 6 isn't the best of whatever year it comes out. Its doneso.
Never pictured the day where we could possibly have a bad GTA. Hopefully that wont happen
Why can’t we just go back to the way it was before
We all went passive mode because a hacker was having a war with police after killing a few players. It was kinda dumb…
If Saints Row still had the momentum it had for SR 1-3 we probably would’ve had a GTA 6 already.
Bro - love the videos - but can you please check the white balance of the camera - it can rocket your production value up to 50 procent
We need another company to release a game like GTA, Rockstar has no competiton so they do what they want.
I would respect them if we got map expansions, but instead, keep adding new content with a small map is ridiculous. I own over 100 cars and majority of the properties and It’s still boring riding on those seem streets
been following R* for a long time and played most of their games and witnessed throughout the years how they've changed, the next GTA game is their last chance to show if they still got it or not, i've read someone's comment that RDR2 is going to be their last great game because most of the people who made R* great are gone, i tend to agree but it'll be unfair before seeing what the next GTA has to offer
good content sir

Warframe says "We can. And do. It's better with friends or others but we do scale the enemy counts DOWN to make it easier on you, by yourself."
Edit:
Warframe's Community is suprisingly friendly. Because it's NOT PVP. It's PVE or Players Vs Ai. And the Synergy of the Warframes makes things go from "Well. I am powerful" to "OMG! WE ARE GOD!"
Midnight club 3 was the best older Rockstar game
The only way I still play gta5 is modded for VR with an oculus and a trainer to spawn and mod online only vehicles- never been happier
How does it work? Ive seen it before but im sure you dont have a full hand control on things. Now that would be incredible.
@@ObviousMalcolm_PLUS you have to use a regular controller, I just use an Xbox 1 controller, but you have the same controls as you had prior to the VR mod.
Damn love the way you said that your making money but your not winning I definitely knew some people in life that need to hear that. Keep up the great video's man just found your channel and subscribed 👍
Appreciated!
It’s hard to believe it’s the same company that made my favourite game ever!
I just realized that GTA V has basically become the fast and furious franchise.😮😮😮
