I visited the holy land in march 2010. I went everywhere the Bible talks about Jesus. Capernaum, Mt of Olives, Galilee, but, this place, the dungeon in Caiaphas's house, this place I could FEEL the Lord's presence. I laid on the dungeon floor for 10 minutes, soaking up the experience. I must say, I was not expecting it, I was overwhelmed by it. The aura/spirit/presence within that small chamber literally brought me to my knees and I found myself begging inside to go to my knees. Supernatural.
The interpretation is wrong here. Peter was not in a "deluded state." After all, he was the only apostle who recognized who Jesus was early on. Here, he was in a dangerous situation and he acted a coward. He deeply regretted his denials, repented and went on to lead the Church and to martyrdom. A great example for all Christians of what cooperating with God's grace can achieve!
Great Video! It was indeed an illegal trial & Caiaphas was appointed as high priest by the romans, & according to torah/religious law wasn't legally the high priest as he wasn't of the line of Aaron. However Jochanan the immerser/John the baptist who had been executed by herod was of the line of Aaron & also a cousin of Yeshua/Jesus. Jesus was silent at the trial until placed under oath because to not answer under oath would have broken the religious law and therefore would have been a sin.
sin only creats separation between man and God.. when adam and eve disobeyed they themselves hid themselves from God...probably peter also felt the same thing and so does everyone of us...when we commit sin instead of seeking GOD's grace we try to run away from him and eventually as time passses we completely start to ignore his presence in our life..
No trial was ever held at the residence of the high priest. All meetings of the Sanhedrim were held in the hall adjoining the temple. A trial at any other place would have been illegal.
It still never ceases to amaze how those claiming to be the most devout and knowledgeable of Christians have never questioned what Peter was doing outside Caiaphas' palace while Jesus was on trial inside... warming himself by the fire while SEATED WITH THE SAME GUARDS who had just arrested Jesus and who had also witnessed Peter assault the servant of the High Priest with a sword! Do Christians really believe Peter had somehow suddenly become buddies with them?!

SIR --WHAT IS PENTECOST ?
I'm going with my son to Jerusalem in 2 weeks. can you tell me how to find Caiaphas' house? Thank you. David
There are guides in Jerusalem that can lead and show you this place.
Have you found it when you arrived in Jerusalem?
Curse this house!
