Great unboxing video :) I've had the unit myself for some time now and I absolutely love how convenient it is. This is my first videoo of yours that I'm watching so not sure if you got into the Neo-Geo CD stuff yet but rhose games run faster on the Polymega than they do on their original hardware which is very nice! Gonna go check out more of your content. Great vid!

Hey thank you Sarumaru, and thank you for joining the Discord!
I plan on releasing a more in depth POLYMEGA video this Sunday. I only have one Neo CD game so it'll be pretty brief testing that system haha.

You know, I thought about getting one of these, but decided that the price wasn't worth it. I have original consoles and other more effective and cheaper ways to play my games, but i have been interested in the base model because of it's disc compatability, great review!

It is very expensive for sure and there are tons of cheaper options with nearly identical results. Kinda just a neat console with good compatibility, now they're working on a N64 module.

@@ModernBroadcast Yeah, the N64 adapter looks cool, I have been looking at the N64 controller that they are going to sell, and was thinking about buying one to use with my PC, but have no clue if it works with anything but the console itself.

@@jackalope_VC if you're looking N64 controller for PC honestly I'd recommend the brawler 64 from Retro Fighters. You'll never play N64 the same again. They offer a wireless controller for the actual system and a PC version. 10/10 easy

Can you use the USB ports for the retro games so you dont have to use a multitap for the turbo grafx for 4 players?

So this question is a bit dicey to answer. While yes you can use the USB ports to plug in controllers to work on the Polymega, not all USB connections are supported. Notably the 8bitdo bluetooth receivers are a no go, however the retro-bit wireless controllers DO work...

So with the base unit you CAN NOT use the original controllers ? That's a big bummer if so ...

      Good morning Paul,
That is correct. A major down side in my opinion is even if you plug in the USB Bluetooth adapter for 8bitdo controllers it won't work because Polymega made the decision to only support certain controllers for the POLYMEGA.
I will say however, the 2.4Ghz retro-bit Sega controller is supported and feels great.
