- Hey gang! It's been a minute since I uploaded- I've got like three videos in the pipeline at the moment and rather than finish any of them I decided to spend a few hours making this instead.
Featuring Sam Reich confessing to psychologically torturing Brennan for fun and profit :)

Sam confessing this filled a plot hole that I hadn’t consciously thought about but immediately understood to be true
We all knew this in our hearts
I figured it out when I watched it for the first time and deep down I knew I'm simply never outwitting Brennan at a puzzle of this kind

yeah i always assumed he guessed early on and spent the rest of the time thinking about what greek myths he should invoke in his final monologue
also ally's "i think i got my math wrong" is absolute genius

@@dudumangs7140 an hour or so of stewing on it, brewing such a speech, crafting the perfect order for which he would spew his feelings, frustrations, knowing what was happening, yet powerless to stop it

to be fair though that episode wasn't meant to be an elaborate scheme where Brennan figures out the grand puzzle - the point of it was to see Brennan's mind slowly deteriorate and that's exactly what we got 😂
That and give him the prize. This was as much a disguised surprise party as much as it was a way to screw with Brennan. This how Sam celebrates his champions

Sam did say Brennan did know the answer but Sam asked for him to wait to give it so they could make a full length episode, Brennan did and just held off willing to make it more entertaining
@@basementdwellercosplay The fact that Brennan is willing to put himself through legitimate pain for the sake of the amazing content shows what an amazing entertainer he is.
So in an AMA on the game changer reddit Sam answered a question that revealed exactly what he did during that episode that got cut out: He didn't let Brennan officially enter in a guess, in order to win they had to go backstage and guess, but Sam didn't let him go backstage and edited out all the times Brennan tried to get him to go backstage.
God that's so funny to imagine, just the image of Brennan constantly throughout the show like, "let's go backstage, Sam. Sam. I know what it is Sam. I'm going backstage, Sam. LET'S GO BACKSTAGE, SAM."
The shot of Zac slowly creeping out from behind Brennan's shoulder is something I think about on a daily basis. What a show.

@@emilysmith2965I’m gonna go full Brennan and um actually here, it’s not FROM Kill Bill it was just used in it. Technically it’s from the TV show Ironside from the 60s, which was originally written by Quincy Jones. However that’s not where Quentin got it from, he actually saw it in Five Fingers of Death which is a martial arts film from the 70s.
This was literally the episode that made me subscribe to Dropout in the first place, just so I can see the context behind that amazing monologue. Absolutely worth it

As someone who is incredibly competitive, the way Brennan hisses "I HATE thissss" hits deep
Brennan spent five minutes figuring out what was going on and forty constructing and practicing that monologue in his head.
I fully believe Brennan is just able to put out those monologues at any given time.

i always feel like Game Changer and Um Actually should have Brennan as the de facto villain which other players should have to beat
Game Changer/Um Actually crossover where the Game Changer "Game" is The Chase.
I mean Sam is the ultimate villain of Game Changer, but yes. Brennan being the bar others measure themselves against makes for great “television” ^_^

They might've also editted out guessing the trick behind the "Lie detector" episode. There is a suspicious cut in that one.

I figured that he'd at the very least sussed it out early on, especially the way he said, "I'm the only one out of the loop *it would seem* " at the end there 😂
Except that Zac and Ally weren't in on it and we're just as confused as Brennan at the start. Sam would say the answer is the opposite of whatever Brennan said, and if Zac or Ally got points, so be it.

The rule of the game was Brennan Cannot Win. Getting a Crown, deducing the rule, is winning. So Brennan was not allowed to deduce the rule, because of the rule. No crown for him.

I misread the title as "Running Brennan for President" and I was like "YES!"
At the very least, the presidential speeches would be legendary.
I would absolutely vote for him.
So happy that Brennan "King of Mediocrity" Lee Mulligan finally got his well earned 2nd place victory. He really did just okay in the end.
Sam knows just how much being wrong or losing pierces deep into Brennan's soul, and he will do it again and again if it means getting great content!
I want a full version of the episode that includes all the ways Sam thwarted Brennan's guessing attempts

Honestly Brennan brought this on himself having such spectacular and entertaining meltdowns coupled with just the right touch of intellectual hubris. Brennan is a mental force to be reckoned with but Sam is who truly makes the puppets dance .
Do we know how early on in the game Brennan figured out the rule? Someone else said that Sam said he hadn’t allowed Brennan to guess the rule early on but I’m just wondering how quickly he figure it out and was forced to continue this maddening game knowing he couldn’t win.

When I first saw and comprehended the concept of the game I fully thought he just found out right at the end. But now that I know Brennan and Game Changer better overall, it makes perfect sense.
In a question system with only two possible answers, you would need at the very least 3-5 questions to notice that something is completely wrong here.
It's very simple, but for the sake of content and because of the game itself, he wasn't allowed to guess. He wasn't allowed to win.
And that's fucking hilarious.

It's kinda easy to figure out when watching the episode tho. You can definitely tell that there's a point Brennan stops being analytical and is just fuming because he already guessed the rule and Sam just won't let him take it.

Um, Actually. It technically doesn't matter if Brennan figured it out, or even if he said so. If he didn't go backstage to wager winning or losing on his guess then it's just talk.
So unless they edited out him doing that, it's still a legit outcome.

On 99 questions, Bob asked if he was competitive or if that was an act. Brennan responded with no, I just hate losing. I don't mind coming in second, but I hate coming in last. Bob, "that is being competitive." Out the whole 4 hr interview that made me laugh the hardest. He said he exaggerates it for the internet, but he really hates losing.
Could Brennan have wrote down his guess to lock it in, then made Sam reveal the answer before revealing his guess??? Or vice versa, made Sam write down the answer to lock it in.

Nah, this was wayy more obvious, which in this case was good. The goal was not to hide it from Brennan or anyone, rather the goal was to see Brennan's frustration at his situation mount and grow into a real life villain origin story.

This annoys me personally. The idea of these games is to improvise yet the ending had to be forced to happen. There's been some chapters lately where it feels like they're acting more than reacting and I'm not very fond of that.
I don't like it when they mistreat Brennan treat him different because he is smart
To be fair the point of the game wasn’t really targeted at him being smart, it was about him being competitive
Brennan is the most competitive person in the world so they deliberately made a game he literally couldn't win
