I love how Papa's voice was a kid's in the end. He was... stunted, after the abuse he went through himself, perpetrated by his own dad. He was an angry and bitter little boy in a man's body, and everything led to the abuse and death of the only true victim here, Agatha. Villains are made most of the time, and that's one of the saddest realities of life.

Just for anyone wondering, "i have no mouth and i must scream" is a book, a very interesting one, that is inspiration for many series and horror games and etc
i think there is and always will be more games that talk about trauma’s people experience.. though I do agree it is becoming more common as people are not told to shut up and repress their sorrows and pains like how many previous generations of people and game devs were told to…
What got to me was when after noticing the game art was heavily familiar to the previous game, I noticed the girl's name and IMMEDIATLY realised who she was. And after remembering the phone call Filip got into on the first day with her dad, I could only imagine the worse of what Agatha had to go through. That is just... deep. And honestly terrifying as hell.
If I have it right, I think the symbolism is since the main character is always drinking, he's only able to have glimpses of real life and his actions. Or, he's peeking through "holes." And through these holes he sees all the horrible things he did.
This game genuinely made me tear up.. Because the feeling that the little girl must have felt was familiar. I want to hug her so much.. Games such as this one help to grow certain communities, like look at this comment section. All these people who went through horrible things, I'm right here with you, guys. We are here, we're not alone, and we can all heal. Hugs to all of you
You just want attention, there's people that went through that and doesn't make it their whole personality like you and others, they don't just bring it up every single time
@Ash_NuggTato Actually, no. I want this whole situation to have attention, because it exists. And other people who have been suffering in silence can see that they are not alone and they are understood. You can't judge someone's personality by one single comment, so I'm quite surprised that you jump to such a big assumption.
My heart goes out to victims going through this, I wouldn't wish such abuse on anyone. I was a victim of SA but not by a parent like the girl in the game. Thank you for wanting to play a game with a serious topic like abuse. 26:28 The little girl's shoes. Aw man 💔
@SSlime07 There are bigger adult shoes near the girl's shoes in that scene, and with the symbolism on the tv, you can figure out what/where the dad is.

Horror has a pattern of following the trends of what society is most afraid of. Sadly, a lot of our younger generations have so much trauma, because older generations were abused themselves and it was normalised, a lot of them passed it down onto us. Now due to an uprise in therapy and mental health awareness, abuse awareness, etc. what past generations considered ‘discipline’ and ‘normal’ is now being shown and portrayed more as abuse, because it is, and our younger generations are understanding more of what is right and wrong when it comes to discipline. Because of this awareness, I think horror has taken a turn of realism, showing the actual horror in peoples’ daily lives, what kids and adults actually go through, the monsters that put people through this- and I think when they show this in games and media in a more abstract way that still shows how terrible it is, it can really beneficial to people who have gone through that themselves. That final message that was shown on screen by the developers really hit me, and I was crying for a while after that, because it makes people like me feel seen, and it can really help more than you realise to be told that you are worth something. If you’re going through something similar, or if you’re like me and have been through something similar in the past- I stand with you, and so do so so many others. You are not alone, and you deserve so so much better. Your trauma does not define you. Don’t let it become who you are, and definitely don’t let it carry on through you. Be a cycle breaker, and if you are one already you have the utmost respect from me completely, thank you

Probably not. I think its more important for people to understand the story, as trauma can happen this way and stuff like this happens. Its better to know, then to live in a delusion and put yourself at risk or not help a potential victim because you dont know it could happen.
Im sorry but I need to talk about how much I LOVE when you cover dark topics like this in your videos especially knowing you have an younger audience. Its interesting to see these kind of videos from you. Usually u being happy and goofy boy, this was really intense and dark game to watch. I wouldn't be able to play this game by myself, but you playing and talking trough the game made me feel safe. Thank you Ryan.
I just realized, the part where the main character keep walking inside some sort of weird, fleshing dungeon, might be symbolizing how the father was........inside Agatha Another thing about the last part with the dolls, how everytime Agatha brings her dad the beer, they both gets detached. For the dad it's showing his inner messed up desires and monsters, for Agatha it may be her innocence being stripped away
This kind of horror game is the style of horror I really like. As dark as it is, its way more realistic and....wow I have no words for this game other than it was very good (LOVED THE GAMEPLAY RYAN! Your commentary really rounds it out.)
as a victim, this game is very real. You never know what someone is going through, so the next time you notice that someone is acting a little down, just smile and compliment them or ask them how they are doing. it could save their life.
Thank you for playing The Hole and sharing it with others! 🖤 This game means a lot to us. As survivors of domestic abuse, we created it to reflect some of the harsh realities we’ve lived through-and to remind anyone experiencing the same: you’re not alone. 🌹 Abuse is never okay. If you’re in that situation, please know it’s not your fault. You deserve love, safety, and respect, no matter what. Things can feel hopeless, but the pain won’t last forever. Brighter days are ahead. By sharing this game, you’re helping us show others that their stories matter, that they’re seen and heard. Conversations like these can make a real difference. Thank you for standing with us. 🙏
39:21 that’s how it was for me most of the time when I was younger, mum was amazing while out but behind closed doors I was treated horribly… once I moved out things git better but I’ll always remember what she did to me
I watched both games from this developer and I have a feeling that they are both connected. Throughout most of the game I believe that we are playing as Agatha's father, but the scene in the bathroom is probably seen from the perspective of the 'prankster' that killed Agatha in the first game and killed her father in this one. The scene in the bathroom was the 'prankster' not being able to live with what he has done. Before the bathroom scene he even sais 'I was not even aiming for vital organs'.
Now, I haven’t gone through the topics of this game, but I have been through depression. Its not sadness, its loss of all joy. Your favourite activities are not fun, nothing gives that colour to life, not even friends or family.
The Devs did a FANTASTIC job with this game, especially with the message at the end. It is SO WONDERFUL to see developers touch on issues that we as a society are afraid of talking about. Such a great job.
I think the devs will cover our every problems like they did with "its just a prank" where they showed the bad kids you can fall in relations to and "the hole" could be a way of showing where that could lead, it also could represent domestic abuse and how it could affect someones life.

@@AdaminTranzitgood for you??????
@@AdaminTranzit dude. no.
@AdaminTranzit please be quite, respectfully
26:24 you see the shoes of the girl and the father, as the bed moves up and down, just think what happing in that moment....
Bro... This is so fucked up
@@mightypopkorn literally
And then the legs dangling of the bed, not even long enough to reach the ground... that scene made my stomach twist in ways I never knew it could
I can’t believe I didn’t understand this. I was looking at the TV thinking it was an open door to another room but now I see the shoes… the innuendo portrayed by the TV… it’s a lot. This is actually scarring.
🤯
I just watched Baz play this. Those warnings are no joke. And if you don’t understand the story. It’s better that way.
obviously they aint a joke, tho i lived my life to the point of i dont care about these warnings, humans do these horrible things, its not normal normal but it is normal by it happens a lot
What does the key hole and milk mean i think its kind of a s3x right? So r4p3?
@@AdaminTranzit ok
Probably not. I think its more important for people to understand the story, as trauma can happen this way and stuff like this happens.
Its better to know, then to live in a delusion and put yourself at risk or not help a potential victim because you dont know it could happen.
Im sorry but I need to talk about how much I LOVE when you cover dark topics like this in your videos especially knowing you have an younger audience. Showing stuff like this on a big platform as yours can make kids realise that what they're going through isn't right & have hope that the current situation that may be similar to this or any other topics in ur darker vids may change.
I doubt this comment will ever be seen but I hope you come around to start pushing yourself to make more because i know how hard it is to post these type of things with youtubes censorship and the worry of making your younger audience upset by these types of things
I love your vids man, Merry Christmas :]
36:00 dude this made me sick to my stomach
I don't want to think in that way and will be glad if I am misunderstanding, but what was the dad doing to her?
@@animenmusic16 you are not misunderstanding anything, i'm pretty sure he's doing exactly what we are both thinking
Yikes bro, I literally went 💀 once he said that shit
I'm indifferent about it. I mean I do have sympathy for those who endure it. I'm fully aware of this stuff happens to hundreds of people. Nothing about this game is shocking. Humans is my only anwser.
@@cosmicsilhouette3858 not hundreds man... I think millions
I’m one of your younger fans. This video was kind of… down-to-earth. I knew what I was walking into, but I enjoyed how you didn’t take it lightly either. Crazy that stuff like that happens in life. Great video.
Wasnt agatha the girl from the "its just a prank game"? Who had a terrible dad?
I believe so, the same name and design
@mskiara18 not sure if the two games are canon though cuz in the other game the prankster dude killed her
@@thatanimegirlwiththecape4807 Oh you're right. The storytelling in this game has me confused on if they're the same people or different
This game also has the same missing posters as that game too
@@thatanimegirlwiththecape4807 I think timeline wise this takes place before the prank game
Yh the warning on the 2nd bottom hits close so ima skedaddle have a good one ryan great videos as always 👍
Its interesting to see these kind of videos from you. Usually u being happy and goofy boy, this was really intense and dark game to watch. I wouldn't be able to play this game by myself, but you playing and talking trough the game made me feel safe. Thank you Ryan.
I just realized, the part where the main character keep walking inside some sort of weird, fleshing dungeon, might be symbolizing how the father was........inside Agatha
Another thing about the last part with the dolls, how everytime Agatha brings her dad the beer, they both gets detached.
Tough topics Ryan but i appreciate you going through the game. It made me cry but the topic is so important
Holy that was one hell of an emotional roller coaster
1:27 I HAVE THAT CARPET
On the wall as well?
@@infernaltourist9601typical Russian
Me too
True art of horror. Glad people made humanity as a monster rather then monsters as monsters.
as a victim, this game is very real. You never know what someone is going through, so the next time you notice that someone is acting a little down, just smile and compliment them or ask them how they are doing. it could save their life.
19:10 Please be an eye, please be an eye, please be an eye, PHEW!
Name checks out
Pretty sure that was also symbolism
Thought it needed censorship
Thank you for playing The Hole and sharing it with others! 🖤
This game means a lot to us. As survivors of domestic abuse, we created it to reflect some of the harsh realities we’ve lived through-and to remind anyone experiencing the same: you’re not alone. 🌹
Abuse is never okay.
28:53 RYAN ITS YOU AT THE TOP IN ONE OF THEPICTURES!!!! 😂😂
Dudeee wtf I never noticed that and neither did he 😂
Plus I see jacksepticeye at the bottom also
39:21 that’s how it was for me most of the time when I was younger, mum was amazing while out but behind closed doors I was treated horribly… once I moved out things git better but I’ll always remember what she did to me
Games like these make me sad and my heart truly goes out to those who have gone through this. No one deserves to go through this kind of pain ever
That's exactly what I've been thinking... The games have to be connected, it just makes sense
"Dont tell mom about our games" ... i guess I know the hole unease scene is about
Now, I haven’t gone through the topics of this game, but I have been through depression.
Drinks beer and microwaves cereal in the morning 3:15 Ryan "it's a fairly normal start to our day" 😅
Bro that was extremely gameplay for steam i am absolutely love ryan😭
Wow… this game really is something else and what i love is the dev didn’t take the story lightly. It is a dark, traumatic and a great game.
I think the devs will cover our every problems like they did with "its just a prank" where they showed the bad kids you can fall in relations to and "the hole" could be a way of showing where that could lead, it also could represent domestic abuse and how it could affect someones life.
To add some levity to this video, only a true psychopath heats up cereal in the microwave
21:27 damn ngl that "boo" got me shaking in my boots
Really?
Ive never felt so disturbed by a game before.
I thought DDLC was bad but this... is just a galaxy above that
Heating up cereal is diabolical
THATS WHAT YOU THOUGHT AFTER THAT VIDEO
Up to now ur still my go to gameplay youtuber! Also this is good stuff
I love these videos each time it's uploaded
Games are a way to express what emotions that you and others have felt trying to tell them by playing
God does this game capture that feel
16:33 i bet he was talking about My Eyes Deceive bro that game broke me
5:35, Ryan is possibly the coolest guy I’ve ever known
Hello Ryan, I have been viewing your videos over the past few days, and I am thoroughly impressed by the remarkable quality of your work. As a 17-year-old, I find your achievements incredibly inspiring. I believe that with your dedication and talent, you will undoubtedly reach 5 million subscribers presently.
I read the disclaimer and everything even so it makes me so sad to think about kids that have gone through this horrible of trauma and how badly it messes them up no one deserves to be treated like that ever by anyone
Edit: the ending and ending note made me sob violently the developers obviously care very deeply about people having their story heard no matter how heartbreaking it is
Him warming up cereal scared me the most I think....who does that
Love the warnings, still watching even tho some are triggers for me because gotta face it head on
The real horror, was heating up cereal.
38:45 I can relate to this game but It was a completely different story I love your content Ryan I’ve been Watching you since I was 6 and Am now turning 17 in April Keep Up The good work will always keep Watching you until the End wich will obviously hurt for a lot of us ❤🎉
I went through This sort of stuff from born till 6 turning 7 years old stayed at my nans till I was 12 then moved with my dad went through the exact same shit till I was 14 Ended up in care and I still suffer Now! I always ask myself What did I do to go through what I’ve been through and Why does it affect me still from over 12 - 13 years ago! Im a massive fan Have been watching ever since your first one night at Freddy’s Video! Always will be here to support you Although you probably won’t see this 💙
So sorry you had to go through this, you didn't deserve it. I hope you find peace one day Ethan ❤💯
The scariest part of this game is they are putting cereal in the fridge and then the microwave
Hey, You're In This One Ryan 😅😁 28:53
Jesus this game was heavy
Especially the innuendos
Now this is the kind of horror that disturbs me
And also another reason into why im never drinking a can of beer for the rest of my life
The songs are actually OST (Original Soundtrack) from the developers! So yeh, they are not copyrighted 👍
Healing 37:37
This was so awful game, I was shocked, I cried and felt such disgust. This is reality for many people, no matter age, gender or location. I hated this game, but with my full heart I appreciate the message. Trauma is not a taboo, stay strong and speak up until you are heard 💜
37:37 everything said here is WHO I REPRESENT 😤✊🏾
at 28:54, it seems there is a missing poster with Ryan's face, up right corner. Or someone who looks really similiar. Also, this game is really effing dark, like their other game.
21:07 that jumped me harder than it should've
Calling it now, the thumbnail doesn't stay
Yeeeaaahhh that thumbnail definitely is...not staying
Why
YOO the pics of some famous youtubers are shown at 28:54 manlybadass hero and bitryan included
To the viewers who sadly have experienced the dark topic depicted in this game: I am so, so sorry that happened to you. You didn't deserve it, you're not alone, and you deserve love and I hope you'll heal with time. ❤
21:05 DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT RYAN! 😭
I love to watch 8 bit rayan play horror game while I eat some EGG FRIED RICE
I'm sorry... I'm sorry............ what? Did you just mircowave cereal at 3:13 and call it normal??? What can I say except... what??? That's probably the scariest part of this whole game.
YOOOOO 8bit RYANNN POSTEDDDDD my day is 1000000000000x better now
28:53 BIT RYAN IS ON THE MISSING POSTER
30:38 I tried putting the text on the TV into a translator, and the translation didnt make any sense, so I decided to look at another comment section somewhere else to see if I could find the meaning. Apparently it says something like "I loved playing with her. Hiding from mom. We always had fun, she never said no. We were just playing."
20:01 worst thing to happen to somebody.......
It was all emotional.. but for some damn reason, seeing “get this mf” made me laugh immediately-
8:20 why do game devs do this. Why the hell is there a whole bath tub blocking the stairwell 😭
