Since Brendan talked about his Rat habits in video games I would LOVE to see you guys try Kenshi. Its an open world Squad builder with RPG elements that is very much like Stalker in the sense that it will be mean to you. But you will appreciate it. Its very light on narrative but has a surprisingly dynamic world where you can potentially eliminate a faction, and a new faction will then move in on their territory.
You can still play the PotC MMO, a group is hosting the game and still do events and updates with no pay walls. It's called The Life of Pirates Online and is still entertaining.

As soon as cameron said "I only have like 20 rounds" my immediate thought was "oh no they never tried unloading the enemy guns" :D. Classic stalker moment.
Whoever said that STALKER is a strong vibes based nailed it on the head. The sound, the dull low rumble, the groans, the sense of place that's constantly moving outside you (cause it technically is), it's an experience few games manage to build. The Zone feels like the earth is a living creature beneath your feet the more you explore it.

It rebalances weapon accuracy, adds new guns, items, features, even monsters I think. Plus it looks and sounds incredible.
stalker is a wonderful anomaly, as it to this day keeps creating unique playthroughs for each player, from NPC on monster squabbles to non-combat encounters and sights to the pinnacle of jank. the crew portrays that well enough with their stories, as their retellings land wide enough on the bullshit-masterpiece spectrum to wholly encompass it - from Billy's constant crashing to Cameron's attempts of learing the ropes to Brandon's hoarding experience (protip: stuff loot in a dead body and carry it to the trader if you're overencumbered) to Ten's borderline insanity of completing multiple playthroughs (and subsequent hate of the final section(s)). the game is harsh at some times and completely incomprehensible at others, but the setting and the unique experience one can get from it make it worth the trouble. and then there's the modding scene, which is a rabbithole on its own, so there's that. there's also a parkour challenge somewhere in the beginner village for a piece of merc armor. have fun!
Skull and Bones with the 1st announcement seemed like a cool idea for a mid priced game like a standalone AC Black Flag without the IP and options for DLC in different parts of the Seas Then it tourend into lets sail a ship and remove 2/3 of what makes a pirate a pirate and everyone loves big numbers popping up Ubisoft did it again, they managed to turn a neat idea into a boring and basic game.
Yeah, that's the only eyebrow-raiser about that segment. Maybe he was trying to escape out of the waves again, after tangling with War Front: Turning Point and The Big Pizza Incident.
The only VR game i didnt had the "this is a moblie game with fingerpointing/techdemo/cinematic experience" was Into the radius, an exklusion zone game with a unique story and gun cleaning
as a latecomer to the gaming environment, exclusivity feels... weird? playstation was always the bourgeoisie console with weird games nobody I know has played because nobody could afford the expensive plastic. By the time I could afford a console for myself, everything worth playing was either on PC, and I was playing on console for ease or controller specific mechanics. When the Xbox One made the price point the same, it suddenly felt pointless to buy a console. Playstation games may be good, but I cannot think of one that is on it's own is worth $500.
I always love people getting tricked into watching the Stalker movie (Tarkovsky's masterpiece) when they come from the videogame or the book. Rare case of the same IP being in three different mediums, each doing a different thing and working with different themes and ideas, and all three being immensely influential and cult classics in their own respective areas.
honestly unless is a big mod that change most of the gameplay Stalker SoC is a really rough game to start with the series I hope if you guys try again, do instead call of pripyat since is the best one in terms of gameplay of the series.

If you shoot enemys in Stalker, sometimes, they shout :"Tvoju mat!" Wich (if i'm correct) translates to: "Your Mother!" I find that hilarious.
