It's great to see your simplicity trying, and even then you make a whole of particles, I don't know how you do it but this is a real painting Turner. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome, I was hooked as soon as I saw the shade ,had another Younger days, Dai ja vue!! I'm telling ya TV!!! I've been to some of your locations in a past life ,haha, no really they're sooo familiar ,these eye catching gems of nature that you so skillfully choose ,.I had to save this one too, I put aside the practice pieces I was working for,and jumped straight into the pine shade .I like it alot ,very "cool" looking ² Nice nice painting. I'd love to purchase a print or perhaps this piece itself. Keep on trekking. TV!!
Hey, thanks for the kind words, Michael. I’m not doing prints of my work but this piece is available. Send me an email and we can chat about it. Turner@TurnerVinson.com
Turner do you still have the original of the quick forest sketch ...painting. I watched your video the first time and that work really turned the corner for my respect and awe for you my man !!! Whhoooaa what an incredible enjoyment seeing you get down ! Anyway. I'd like a quote on the original. I dig it !! Alot.
Absolutely wonderful! ... Luv the the way you used that big brush to block in the darks ! ... That's one way to keep it simple ... Nice alive feeling in foreground shadow areas ... Abstract brush strokes with that impasto you always create a unique painting
In fact I'm trying to paint it again, just like you did . I'm very new to "painting" but of course have been enthralled since the age of 9 when my parents surprised me on my bd with an easel and all the works but I let it lie regrettably for 50 years and now I sometimes feel I'd lost all that brush time but it kindles its purposes through seeing the magic and relevance in just watching the artist in you ,thanks again. It's a vicarious entitlement for approaching that which was for so long ,miscues. However there is an island chain in thr atolls of the carribbean that people are reclaiming ones youth by escaping the dominant order on shore and living out their lives ,some are 135 years old and I'm convinced it's all in the exfoliation and the absence of most clothing, a friend of mine tells me after sailing through this paradise and staying a while, that really all you need to wear is a beer hugger and some Costas hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha It's a commitment to becoming a drifter rogue bronzed laid-back longevity beach king though, I hear they'll exile you for arguing too loud over how to make the perfect mudslide !!! Dear Vinson, can you tell me, what do you have in that tin, which makes the color so fluid? And I must tell you, that following your painting is great pleasure and inspiration, many thanks. Pavla

Can't win them all Turner. Maybe you've got artist's block or heaps of paint that you won in a comp that you need to get rid of hence the super thick impasto kindergarten approach. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Happy painting. 👍
Yes kids' drawings can be so inspirational. I can see their influence in some of your work. The bold spontaneous brush stokes and untethered free spirit. Love that about your work.
That's just a highly saturated mess at this stage Turner, it doesn't convey that landscape at all. Just looks like an illustration fir a kid's book. Your habit of putting out far too much paint is bad work practice, maybe you use it for other paintings, I hope so, I hate seeing good materials going to waste. Putting out too much paint is just as bad as not putting out enough, in some ways worse. Not a good look.
Yes, always get the grey values perfect during a hurricane and my huge canvas never blows away thanks to my super heavy impasto work weighing it down. Learned that from watching heaps of Turner's RUclips vids. His paintings NEVER blow away.
Enjoy watching learning to mix color
Quick forest sketch,good art work 👍🏻"..... .....,...
Enjoyable video and great painting, thank you.

Genial !!!Felicidades..me gusta esa técnica
🙏
I enjoy this video very much, great inspiration.
Could you tell me please the type of colours you use? Which red etc.? Thanks for all, Pavla
Very nice work! I think, to do anything else, would fall into the territory of being overworked. 🖌️🖼️🎨
What art books would you recommend for learning oil painting and composition? Love the layout and the shadows!
Love it - and I rarely leave comments, even on paintings I love. Curious to know - what kind of paint did you use? - Lynda
Thanks so much! I’m using oil paint, from a variety of different brands.
Dear Vinson, can you tell me, what do you have in that tin, which makes the color so fluid?
And I must tell you, that following your painting is great pleasure and inspiration, many thanks. Pavla
Thanks for the kind words! I’m just using odorless mineral spirits

Ahh, I’m actually not running that free mini workshop any more. But I do have my online course available

Happy painting. 👍
Blocked solid by incredible piles of titanium white
Your paints are beautifully malleable and creamy straight from the tube. Are you able to share which brand you have settled on?
I just browse the dumpsters at the local kindergarten, I always seem to find something

Well crap…I didn’t impress Jim Reid this time 😭
@@turnervinson My guess is you have a lucrative art career and Jim doesn't. LOL
@@KayInMaine Jim missing the point of a sketch wildly, I'm sure he perfectly composes the greys during a hurricane
