Hi great video, thank you. I have a MF255 and I replaced the CAV injection pump but there is not a lot of pressure on the injector lines and the pump is leaking diesel from the mounting point in to the oil. Any idea or suggestions are appreciated....
It sounds like an internal issue with the pump. My guess would be a failure to seal or possibly a crack causing it to lose fuel (and pressure) through the front of the pump into the crankcase. I would have a pump shop check it out. If it is an aftermarket non oem pump it could be a quality control issue.
Correct. As long as the engine is not turned while the pump is off it will not be necessary to reset the timing. (Which would require pulling the front engine cover and a possible split. With the pump back on and the notches aligned, this will be as close to perfect timing as you can get without any prior experience tuning. My goal is to provide relatively easy, but thorough solutions to that people can follow without much experience.
@@caseedwards2280 But that doesn't work, the pump shop isn't going to put the pump in the same position, and you can be 180° off by not lining up the timing marks. The pump on your 160 has a window on the side to line up the timing, and a spot on the flywheel, for having everything correct.
Looks just like the one on a Massey Ferguson 245. Thank you.

How much it cost for them to rebuild it
I can’t say as the price varies based on the pump, typically less than the price of a new OEM pump.
Thank you for sharing. What tractor model is it?
Allis Chalmers 160, but the same basic procedure can be followed for most machines with mechanical injection pumps.
