I don’t have any social media aside from this random youtube account and there’s a reason for that.. something about social media in general seems very fake in almost every way but I think that’s where you and a few other RUclipsrs stand out. Always appreciate your content!

I had the same sentiments as you. I didn't settle down early like most of my friends did. I had fears of becoming a father. Until I did have my first born when I was 42yo. I didn't imagine that it could bring so much joy into my life. It also made me matured in setting my priorities for the family first. Take your time and find the right person for you to spend your whole life with. The wait is worth it.

Dude, im fostering 4 of my grand children. You will find nothing more rewarding than making that kind of a difference in the life of a child who would otherwise never likely have a chance to succeed in life. Kudos to you and your fiance. Keep up the great work in life and in your music endeavors. Your videos helped me recently choose some gear that I otherwise wouldn't have looked to. Keep rocking!🤘

My dad split when I was 10 years old. He was violent and abusive. I refused to have kids of my own in order to not pass his genetics on to the next generation. At 52 I now realize that this was a mistake.

Dad of a 6 year old son (and 10 year old daughter) here. Good on you dude. My engineer who works for me has 2 biological kids and last year took in 3 foster kids under the age of 9. He still has them and it’s been a wild ride for him.
Me and my old man didn’t have the greatest relationship growing up either. Not a great club to be in but like you, it’s given me a clear path that I know I need to stick to to hopefully have a better relationship with my kids. Things have gotten a lot better between the two of us though so it’s not all bad.

God bless you Kyle, I've thought for a while now that you having a child would really change your life for the better and help you put your focus on someone else if you can understand what I mean. I'm a father of 3 adult children now (my son is my guitarist in our band) I I will tell you that leaving my punk band in 1996 to focus on my marriage and family was 1 million percent worth it and I wouldn't change it for the world. Children will teach you to put others before yourself, be humble, and love more than you thought you could. I pray everything goes well for you and you fiancée and foster child, I pray he sees how genuine and caring you are. Take care 👊

Don't worry about the hate. It comes with the territory, the more you put yourself out there, the more people will waste their own time just to shit on you for no reason. Plus it's the environment we live in. Chin up and carry on with what you do. Ignore the hate like it's not there. When people don't get a reaction they tend to eventually go away.

I like so much your honesty and transparence, Kyle! I LOVE your channel, it has been a" library of tone" for me in this last year or so that I've been following your content. I know that is hard to ignore the haters, but people sometimes speak with their guts and end up pooping with their mouths. They don't know 1/200 about what you go through in your daily life, so they are the least accurate people to tell what you are and what your life is.
Regarding the foster parenting, congratulations, man! It is a very honorable reason not to go to NAMM. Don't worry, we can wait til next year😂. I hope you and your newly formed family have awesome moments together, much quality time and all the best in your lives. God bless you all!
By the way, you could change your channel name to "Tonegasm".😂
    Cheers from Brazil!

bro, i'm mid 40's and me and the dudes i play with, one of the youngest being 28. and we all agree that metal and all it's subgenre's has become a big internet bubble of influencers and ageing artists. There's just nobody carrying the torch. A couple of us flew out to namm a couple years ago and it was fun but the overload of influencers was crazy. Ola had a little booth, Glen Fricker strutting around, Rabea had a big booth doing little showcases, blah blah blah. and man we talked to all of them cause we watch their shit and like them. but we all discussed it and our takeaway was that there was a major lack of the hero's that make the music people will be listening to in 10 or 20 years. it was either some phenom guitarist or internet dude.,,,,,, dude music is all about the song, and great songs come from fucked up circumstances or struggle or drugs or whatever the case may be, its just living. people used to live! it was all about one thing, and one thing only in music... and that was MUSIC!!! With all that being said grats on the new addition to your family and keep on keeping on. but my one meaningless words of advice to all the so called influencers. Be those old school musicians! do what you do but also push your own shit like its the greatest thing since sliced cheezzeee ,,,, or push the kids that have that fire,,, share links to them in all your videos, take the extra 30 seconds. like instead of putting that amp head in your fleet, share a word about somebody grinding, build a buzz, support, slay, sell and repeat! i seen what you were doing with the jam space and that great shit! we all used to be a big family. we need to get back to that!!! rant over lol... best to ya brother!!!!

Though starting out content creating, caring for a child does take time from ya. However in my place right now, Living here in Houston, TX for closer to a year, I'm closer to my granddaughter and her to me and seeing her grow through her development challenges affirms the choice I made. If you commit to this choice, you and your kid will bond and will made you a better man! Got your back!

Kyle, you have a good channel and make great vidoes. I think you have run into a sorta "glass ceiling" based on demographics. You aren't a boomer and you aren't a meterosexual zoomer, and those are the people watching guitar videos. You have 10x the personality of most streamers. Might be time for a change or just keep going as a hard working dad. Best of luck.

Good for you man. Parenting is peaks and valleys but it's the best thing I ever did. I was 37 when I had my son and I had the same reservations prior to that. Best of luck in your adventure. Ignore the negativity. Guitar circles have tribalism like anything else that has a fan base of enthusiasts with biased opinions.
I went to Edinboro BTW. I miss those days and the area.

  • @maselbas

I think a bit of the guitarist RUclipsr hate comes from fellow musicians who are ignored when trying to shoot for endorsements with companies. Musicians who tour a lot, have years, albums, chops that took years and years building, and a following behind them only to be overlooked by someone who sells products for companies on a RUclips page and doesn’t really have any “street cred”. Though I’m sure there also other reasons as well. Congratulations on the foster/adoption thing, best of luck!
