Brooooo I was on the fence subbing then the it's always Sunny in Philadelphia bit came in CLICKED THUMBS UP IMMEDIATELY. made my decision on purchasing this 06 Daytona easier.
One thing that may help tame the exhaust heat is to wrap the pipe with header wrap starting just before the muffler under the seat and down the vertical section of pipe. The previous owner of my 675 bought a full titanium remus exhaust and wrapped that section and I think it really helps quell at least some of the heat that comes up.
Thank you for the video !! Just got myself a 07 675 Ig glad you mentioned that your AirRam tube you as I already broke my zx6r Air Ram from hard landed wheelies Ive got much better at smooth landing but will keep in mind this can also happen with this bike
I removed a section of R&G bar and weight from inside my 675 bars, as fitted a set of gel grips hoping to make it more luxurious on a European trip. Then I fitted some Oxford bar weights. I had terrible vibration. It made it worse. My right hand felt like it had turned into a tuning fork.
Sorry i'm late to the game, The vibration could passably be due to the mod of the bar ends, they may have removed the vibration stabilizers due to the new mirrors.
Very good catch. You are right about the bar end weights from stock were probably removed to add the bar end mirrors and those little weights while small do help a ton with bar vibrations. When I bought my 675 the owner had no mirrors so I got bar end mirrors and had to remove the weights and that def increased the amount of bar vibrations.
I don't know about daytona but on cbr the whole front is the same it connects to air ducts and side fairings BUT the main connection is at the mirrors, so basically nose fairing sits between mirror and the metal stands that mirrors screw into and then these metal stands connect to the frame behind the gauge cluster, so If i wanna take the nose piece out i gotta take the mirrors off first... I suggest you to check the manual, it will explain exactly what the structure of the bike should be if you're the second owner something might have happened you know it doesn't sound logical to have the whole nose fairing just connected to plastic pieces instead of a firm structure
What do you think that could be? I believe my engine to be pretty healthy.. as it only has 12k miles on it. It has a manual cam chain tensioner which I recently adjusted to eliminate some minor ticking
ticking? that is not good. if the cam chain is to loose it will rattle. If the bike ticks or rather knocks it can be the crank bearings. I see you do not have any barends with weights in them. That is usually taking away vibrations if there are some. But to be fair vibrations can be what ever. I see your frontend of the bike is messed up, who knows, maybe something is not aligned correctly, like a one of the legs of the front fork. Or maybe it can be something with the brakes, like the calipers are not going back all the way. or just simple dust/dirt in the floating pegs in the brake disc or the brakedisc itself is warped. Maybe the chain is stiff in one or two links, or something is up with the rear suspension like the bushings/bearing. Do not know, but the t3 engine should not vibrate or buzz like a 4potter. That is the great thing about the triple engines. I mean you showed how strong it is at "low" rpm wich for me makes it a bit boring but oh so good and smooth for longer trips or beginners or getting out of corners on the track :D Anyway hope you find what it is making the vibrations.
Thanks for your comment/advice! I will probably take your advice and get some weighted bar-ends, hopefully that will help some. Also, you pointed out the chain as a possibility which could definitely be part of the culprit. As far as my engine health goes, after tightening the cam chain the ticking vanished, the engine is very quiet and smooth. Thanks again for your input!
well what can I say, even if I do not really know for sure what the problem is because it can be pretty much everything. but for a fellow Daytona rider i want to ensure that he gets the best experience of the bike as it is the best still. The bike you have is still better then the MV f3 even though you have the first gen. Just get the newer oil cap so that you do not ride with to little oil. :P
2006-2009 model year, it really isn’t a comfortable bike if you’re really tall and if you’re somewhat short you can’t flat feet the bike. Then again, this isnt really built for comfort. I love my 2009 675 eventhough I sometimes cramp up being 6’6”, the sound alone is so worth it!
Seems like a great bike but may I ask your height and weight? Just curious on ideal demographic for this bike? I’m 6’2 170 but not too worried about it being too small your too big, just want my bike to fit like a glove
On the Raptor? Sure did. It cost me $25 off ebay haha I normally don't buy ebay parts but since its just a piece of aluminum I went with it. Here's the vid: ruclips.net/video/-Gzid9FbzQc/видео.html
It was my first bike and it is completely doable as a first bike but it does have a pretty aggressive riding position. The seat angle puts a lot of pressure and weight on your wrists.
At 5'8 I think you would be fine. I am 5'6... 5'7 on a good day haha so pretty short. I'm not able to flat foot both feet but I'm able to manage. It helps that the bike is fairly light at 400lbs

1. I like a warm ass
2. heavier bar weights
3. talk to a dealer I don't know.
Awesome video buddy. I'm currently owning a zx6-r but maybe next year upgrade to a 675. My heart wants a Daytona but my brain says a street triple.
Romano Sparks both are insanely fun bikes! Between you and me... I'm actually looking at trading in for a street triple
Yeah I was thinking about that cause I travel everyday on my bike and only use my car on days off. So why you trading to a street triple?
The new one is gonna have a 765 engine!
MotoPosh we don't have it in South Africa so maybe wait and see when that come. Thanks for advice buddy
For sure! 👍

Black and gold are such good looking colors on this bike! Nice video!
Have you ridden the new version of the daytona it's outstanding
I haven't, the triumph dealership in town closed before I could. I've only heard good things though
About the vibrations. Well the triples should not cause any vibrations or buzzing. They should be smooth as an "electric engine". So check that out.

An inline triple isn't inherently balanced, which is why it has a balancing shaft. A bit of vibration at higher revs is normal.
What year model is that? Sounds good. What about a 300 km ride...Comfy enough? TA

are those the stock mirrors ?
The vibration through the bars could be as simple as that your not using bar end weights
Seems like a great bike but may I ask your height and weight? Just curious on ideal demographic for this bike? I’m 6’2 170 but not too worried about it being too small your too big, just want my bike to fit like a glove
I'm 5' 7.. 130lbs. I'm a small dude. I dont think it would feel too small for you. I think the bike is built for about a 5'10 type of guy
@@Motoposh I’m 5’8 same weight. How well do you fit on it? Can your feet touch the ground?
Nice vid - from another 675 rider!
00Bredren thanks man!
How tall are you? Thinking about getting one. I’m 6 ft 1 in.
I rode my friends 675 and I’m 5’10 and I could flat foot one foot and almost the other one. So you’d be good flat footing
One day - I will own this bike!
I have this bike and it has a cam chain rattle on cold startup. Did you ever have that issue?
Yup. Same issue. I hear its somewhat normal. I installed a manual cam chain tensioner to solve the problem.
@@Motoposh did you have to block an oil port or something when you installed it?
Nah just took out the stock spring tensioner and replaced it with a manual adjustable bolt style tensioner
Hahaha! Jokes!
Very well edited!👍
is that a stock exhaust?
+Triumph 23 indeed it is
+MotoPosh sounds pretty good. did you end up installing the cam chain tensioner? and how much did that cost n changes?
On the Raptor? Sure did. It cost me $25 off ebay haha I normally don't buy ebay parts but since its just a piece of aluminum I went with it.

The vibrations! So it'll be like my KTM 300 EXC? Cool got that covered hahaha.
Nvm, saw the other comments about the vibrations lol.
How tall are u
hi sir, do you recommend the 675r like yours as a first bike ? i haven't ever been on a bike
It was my first bike and it is completely doable as a first bike but it does have a pretty aggressive riding position. The seat angle puts a lot of pressure and weight on your wrists.
@@HugheZ33 thanks man
great video thx
thanks man
No problem thx for the info great stuff 🎉👍🎉
question sir...how tall are?im a stump 5 foot 8 would i have trouble

Mind you, the bike barely squats with me (130lbs) on it so I don't know where you fall in that respect, but at 5'8 I think you'd like it.
you don't have any bar weights that's why it vibrates!
I'll admit.. you are correct haha getting some soon!
