I have so many past anxieties and failures that are constantly haunting me, and I have so much pain and regret that is hurting my heart, I’m always thinking back what I could’ve and should’ve done differently, and it makes me so angry that I can’t go back and correct all of the errors that I made and right all of the wrongs that I did, I’m in desperate need of peace and clarity, I just want to know what I have to do to just make all of the painful memories, and all of the shame, guilt, regret, torment, and condemnation to just all go away, I just want to stop being burdened with all of this, I just can’t let it go, or even forgive myself, I feel like I just need to go back and change everything, I need God to change everything, I’ve prayed over all of this so many times, but it still hurts

Hi! I know this was a few months ago, but what you wrote really touched me because I’ve gone through that as well! I hope things are better for you now and I’ll share my experience in hopes that it could help you or anyone else. Sorry so long, I’m not sure how to say what needs to be said in a more concise way.
Because of the way I’m made up, I naturally overthink things, so a normal occurrence for someone else, may be magnified ten times, in my eyes. As a result, I’ve had to live with all of those things you mentioned ( regret, anxieties, etc.). It really affects your health in the long run, so as we know, it’s not good.
I’ve come to realize Christ’s blood on Calvary took all of my guilt, anxiety, regret, and anything else I struggle with. Not only that, He is the high priest that is being touched by the feelings of our infirmities. He knows!
Once that really sank into my heart, I realized I didn’t ask to come into this world, He allowed me to be born into this sinful body ( which, thank God , is not permanent), that’s why he made the way of escape through His finished work. I just had to trust in that work, and not doing so, was a slap in his face. After all, He, the most holy one, came down in flesh to atone for me.
Meditating in that really did something for me. I then began realizing that God has a purpose for each of us to fulfill and the enemy is always there to keep you looking backwards so you can be totally useless. Remember Lot’s wife- turned into a pillar of salt, rendered completely useless, dead. Why? She looked back ( for a different purpose of course, but you get the point, hopefully).
If you haven’t already, ask God who, if anybody, you need to ask for forgiveness from. Perhaps you do need to do that first, but you’ll know through prayer, then, yield to what he tells you. Healing comes in many ways. There is scripture for that. The word of God is a set of instructions ( as well as other things) for us and it doesn’t always feel good, but if followed, it’ll come out right because His word never fails.
When He speaks, It may be a still small- voice that comes through the least expected individual, but be attentive. Don’t let pride get in the way and don’t worry about what others think. Focus on your goal of total healing, no matter what. You have a purpose that serves God and everything you’ve been through is to be used for His glory.
Remember, Paul, formerly known as Saul actually killed Christians. Remember, David committed adultery and had Bathsheba’s husband murdered. So many other examples, but God could have stopped it all, if he wanted to. Yet he didn’t. He allowed them and even had them recorded in His holy word. Not only that, He used these men in a mighty way, and even called David, a man after His own heart. Remember, you have a purpose to serve God too and the enemy is trying to make you have spiritual atrophy. Don’t let him. The word is your weapon and if God could have given you a better one, he would have. We don’t fight against flesh and blood, it’s Spiritual warfare and it requires the best weapon- the word of God.
If you’ve searched your heart and find there’s no one you need to ask forgiveness for, change your testimony and start giving thanks unto the Lord. Begin saying, “ I’m healed of all of these, thank you Lord for taking this way from me, now I’m here to serve your purpose.” Then, keep marching. Also find scriptures of consolation and quote the word back to the enemy….he literally hates that!
      Rev. 12:11
These things have really helped me and I’m in so much of a better headspace than I was before. The enemy knows not to come my way with that mess anymore, so he tries new tactics on me, which also fail!
We’re over-comers in all things! Remember, the word of God is your weapon- speak it!
      God bless you!

I struggled with guilt. I know that guilt is what being a Christian is all about.. But I found a way out and I want to share it with you. When you are ready, talk to Jesus. It is He who can save you, and He will listen to you. He favours the weak, for they are more ready for His words. And He shall save them from their guilt, and like them, YOU can be salvaged from you guilt by Him also. Having guilt is what Christianity is about. Talk to Jesus and He will listen. God bless you and salvage you for your sin and guilt. Amen.

Guilt is what we experience after we did something wrong. Shame is linked to our identity that's why it's so much more destructive, painful. Some people commit suicide when they can no longer face their shame.

      No he was deeply ashamed
      KJVA Bible. Luke 22:61-62

@@dawnellafreeman4860 shame is about who we are. Guilt is about what we have done. Shame comes from Satan. Did Peter cry over who he was or what he had done?

No not the sin line of Adam. We only got the knowledge of good and evil. We had free will before and will when we live with God. Eve chose to believe a lie rather than God. It's what we suffer from today. Maybe God wants me to marry a better Christian wife, It's not a lie if it protects me. That one lie you accept when you know it's wrong but yet repeat it is exactly what Eve did. Sin much worse than we think it could ever be.
