Had purchased a 1971 Superbee about 30 years ago for a paltry $160, painted it metallic blue and put Cragar supertricks on the front. Them were the good old days and wished I could've held on to it.

AND I bought for 200 bucks !! Perfect condition sitting in a driveway. Bad starter but that didn't know what was wrong with it. Had I known the price would jump to these prices.. love this car
A few years ago spotted one of these on a trailer outside a restaurant. At the time my knowledge was very minimal and I mistook it for a challenger until I got up to it

I feel like a stock 440 in 71 would be more stout than that. It has 383 badges on it so it’s probably a worked over smog 440.
It looks like it's built up pretty good with two 4 barrels, aluminum intake, and headers but who knows that could be for show...

Now we’re talkin a Super Bee wished it had the 4 speed with pistol grip shifter but it is a Mopar and also a very rare car

I had a 72 se that I put a 440 4 speed in. I miss that car. I sold it for 400 bucks, of course it didn't look as nice except the interior. it had hideaway headlights too. if I only knew what it would be worth today

@Pauly Gambino BTW this car seems to have an aftermarket Edelbrock (maybe Offenhauser ) dual 4 barrel intake. Granted the hood says 383 Magnum.

@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate If the previous owner neglected all the easy fixes, what else didn't get done properly. Details make a difference and this one has too may red flags.
Way too much money for the issues with this car. Exhaust leak, exhaust vibration, leaking valve cover, gauge doesn't work, kickdown not working, horn doesn't work. Sorry but just not worth asking price.
