Because Qt have always been a drama-queen, it doesn't mean that she cannot be mad about it but she everytime when something happens where she is even minorly involved makes it 10x a bigger deal.
Like in this putting out the morality aside of photoshops or deepfakes, if you aim to be someone known... you have also known for yeears that it will happen. She just said that she had known about the site and still even just the reaction video to the Atrioc thing is Very over the top (and didn't At All help the wildfire she was talking about, there might be a reason why no other on the list spoke or barely mentioned the thing.. because it's just not worth it and you have to be able to live with it if being an influencer)(Fair or not). So it's not at all suprising she would make an over the top decision about the wife and not after all this time just being able to let it go.. since you kinda have to learn at some point because we also know this kinda stuff is just going to ramp up in coming years like crazy for AI. Like whatever, hold the grudge to the guy (I bet she would even with the sorry first) but it is pretty ridiculous to cut the wife from her friends because it reminds her about it. watching this after atrioc gave us the update put me in the feels. I love what hes doing to combat it and hes taking the most accountability for a controversy ive seen compared to any other influencer. But as a girl I feel for QT, and I honestly would understand if things never go back to the way it was.
This is the worst kind of situation because I feel for both parties. I think QT is right to feel violated and her reaction is justified, although I don't agree with how she phrased certain things I understand where it's coming from.
I also, as a man who has made personal mistakes in the past, can totally sympathize with Atrioc and what led him to this mistake. It's even more unfortunate because if this had happened privately or even in a year or two the blowback wouldn't have been as severe. He got caught doing something stupid and hurtful at a time that happened to become a catalyst for a discussion larger than himself.
It just sucks for everyone involved and I don't think that the women should ever feel obligated to forgive him but I also don't think he should loathe himself for the rest of his life because of this event.

The phrase "if it happened in private" really irks me a certain way when it comes to public personas doing things in the eyes of the public. Like yes, everyone should have a right to privacy etc., but because streamers have audiences, they bear that much more responsibility for their public actions. It's not the same as someone privately being found out by a friend to have looked up deepfake porn. It's a different situation and since he was making a lot of money from being a streamer it just comes with the territory.
@@MedievalSolutionsI think the reason they say if it happened in private is important because QT said in another interview that him being caught live-streaming it drove attention to the site, which was a problem she had. If it happened in private there wouldn’t have been as many people flocking to the site. This isn’t to say that what he did would be less wrongs if it was in private, but that the events following would be better
Yeah I seriously feel bad for everyone involved. It’s so sad seeing how qt views the situation as i really don’t think she is being very objective, which is understandable given the situation, but is the answer really to sue him and work as hard as she does to ruin his career? Its just so sad seeing how little she trusts/ believes him in anything he says now and how little benefit of the doubt she is willing to give. It’s understandable but very sad.
He didn’t create it and it was viral before and will be viral after, ai technology can create very realistic video with shockingly little input and anyone who exists will forever now be at the mercy of this tech and i don’t see a way to deal with this new reality but accept it and take the power away from it by just accepting everyone who exists can be in porn now with a handful of photos.

Yeah this is what a lot of people don’t see about the Atrioc drama, they say that he could come back for his audience but you see: angering fans is one thing, but angering effectively ALL the people you network with and hang out with closes a LOT of doors. Additionally, it then ripples outwards to the mutual streamers, friends, associates, managers, and staff of all the people you angered who will most of the time chose to maintain the relationships with the people you angered over you, and THATS the real career killer.
Atrioc has effectively pushed himself out of the space entirely, which sucks for everybody that this was something that happened. The only way Atrioc could have his career back is to well and truly repair those bridges, but that would/will take a LOT and would be effectively impossible to fully heal those relationships, and as QT has shown, many of the people don’t even want to deal with that, and they have EVERY right not to

He better hope his viewerbase will still be here when he returns otherwise this dudes gonna off himself especially if his wife leaves him. Wonder if they would milk his death or even care.

He doesn’t really have to do anything, at least not for a LONG while. Atrioc has hinted at in the past that he has over a million (when he was talking about taking the risk joining offbrand). We forget he’s also been a pretty smart investor while he streamed and worked a full time higher up job for most of his career, he’s got quite a bit of money stashed away.
Knowing his marketing and market prediction and business skills, he could probably be a day trader, he’s got decent enough skills and background for it
Kekw day trader. He has stock options from his work with a 4fun portfolio. He could easily come back to streaming or RUclips, he no longer needs a network. Even if 2/3 of his audience completely stops watching, he still has 100k views a video. Which is huge.
Atrioc can absolutely come back without repairing any relationships. He doesn’t need other streamers, other managers or associates to like him he just needs his fans to forget which they will. Logan Paul literally showed a dead body to everyone and he still has a careers. Atrioc did something that was creepy and weird but nothing that will actually cancel him.

Logan Paul had also made his career off of being offensive and annoying. However, even in his lowest points *he didn’t piss off the network he had surrounded himself with*. He didn’t make himself so that his managers and associates had to step away from him, those people stuck around. He never offended and made active enemies with streamers and youtubers, cutting off his ability for exposure: in fact his offensiveness mainly worked as away to FACILITATE, NOT LIMIT his exposure to the general public.
Some bad publicity is just that, bad. Sure, he COULD bring his career back and there would be SOME people who stick around, but it would likely be a FRACTION and it would be incredibly hard if not impossible for him to get back and above the position he once was.
There’s an update on his vods channel about what he’s been working on if anyone’s interested. Sounds like he’s making significant process trying to fix his mistakes and has reconnected with QT (still a long way to go of course).
Lowkey, I think Hasan forgets that he is supposed to be interviewing someone else for their opinion. Like Will does a really good job at asking good questions and Hasan just loudly interjects like he is the guest.

That's Hasan's MO. The other recent interview that came to mind was Andrew Callaghan on leftovers and Ethan and Hasan talked at eachother the whole time and ignored Andrew.
It’s because Hasan spends literally most of his waking hours doing a one man show. For all their differences it’s one thing he has in common with xqc. They spend 10 hours a day in a one way conversation with idiots in their chat and once they’re around people they constantly talk over them. It’s just twitch brain rot I don’t think it’s that deep for either of them

I feel like this is just a really unfortunate situation. Atrioc was one of my favorite people to watch on youtube. I think that if he had never accidentally leaked the site on stream and privately owned up to it, his actions would be more forgivable. But it sucks that he leaked it and caused so much attention and traffic on the site, and it's more conflicting that it was an accident. But I think that because of his carelessness no matter accident or not as a female viewer I can't look at him or his content the same way. Such a big part of his content is him, Ludwig, and Stanz and that will never be the same. The worst part is all the women that this has hurt I'm glad my state Virginia has made it illegal and I hope all other states will as well.
I feel so bad for atrioc. What he did was wrong, and he understands that and owned it, but as someone who watches his clips I genuinely believe it was more "what can AI do/how realistic does it look" then it was "I need something new/I need to violate women I'm friends with to get off" it also doesn't help his case he didn't while his wife was out of away. Either way the motive doesn't change the damage he has done.

I think Atrioc deserves a second chance, he just made a big mistake and I think him knowing the pain he caused to some of his closest friends, to his wife, that guilt inside of him is punishment enough

I am pretty sure the women affected by this could be interviewed anonymously to protect their involvement within this issue of deep fake exploitation. If they don’t it is understandable, and I respect their decision. However, we need legislation in order to ensure there is something that could be don’t should another future incident happen. In regards to the current person in question, they should be liable even if it was just pure negligence. I think the atrioc guy should just pay to remove this stuff, learn from the mistakes and most importantly apologize to the supposed victims in this case and move on.

If people aren't forgiven for their mistakes, then there isn't any reason to atone. If the dude is just blacklisted now, he could've doubled down and said he loves deepfakes and everyone is overreacting, and his life would still be just as ruined. The dude was a very close friend with these people for years and is doing everything in his power to atone for something that had little to do with them, and yet he can just get fucked apparently.

True forgiveness requires sacrifice, and it requires you to be willing to try and right the wrongs you've done without the promise of forgiveness. @Ildarion It doesn't matter, people are using someone's likeness intentionally and publishing it online without their consent which opens the door for other people to sexualize them. Even if it's not them 1-1 filming it's still extremely scummy to mimic it without their consent. Why is it so hard for people to grasp? Imagine seeing people make porn meant to mimic your face and just letting it go freely onto the internet with no consequences. You had 0 say in the matter and now people are out there looking at that content using it for their own sexual gratification. After the update Atrioc gave I really feel like he had the best and most admirable approach to combat the storm he caused. I’m not even a fan, I just feel like she’s always trying to help rather than sitting around like Atrioc where all Atrioc tried to do was apologize to his fans. If I was any of the streamers on the deepfake site, I would absolutely cut Atrioc off immediately and I’d never want to talk to a scum like that again unless he showed major change over time. @@katersss I don’t actually really know the context for atrioc or minx or anything that well, I just have watched various content for the last 3 years or so that she circles through and I’ve noticed that she has a really hard time not being petty to others, or vengeful etc. she also tends to push her insecurities onto others, and expect a very large amount from everyone else. When I’ve seen her interacting with her own chat she’s often been the type to try to like punish everyone and get even or revenge etc. I just don’t like that, and not everyone is like that

Hilarious how good people make mistakes and get completely ostracized. Atrioc getting blamed for the entire problem of online deepfakes is absolutely insane. And having fucking Mike interject is just disgusting. QT is totally in the right to cut off a relationship with Atrioc, but to act like Atrioc caused all this harm is just stupid. I’m fact, it takes the heat off the real offenders and transfers that hatred towards Atrioc. While I agree with you, I can understand why QT might feel pretty betrayed and disgusted by his actions, simply by supporting deep fake porn (which is nonconsensual unlike regular porn, and thus is a violation of these women's autonomy).
I dont think you know this, he paid for those deepfakes of his friends and their gf's, and his colleagues.
He paid the website to see it, and because he accidentally leaked it online, more people got the knowledge and awareness of this website which would spread more deepfakes. That's the reason why he got all the hate and it totally deserves. Heck, even he said "if you support the things which I did, and dont agree with the hate I received, then you're wrong. I was in the wrong and I'm trying to do something good"

A mistake would be him clicking on it curiously then getting off the site. Not saving the site for later (after looking at it however many times) like he did.

@@rubyjakewillton he wasn't looking at deepfake porn of qt; of course what he did was awful and should be punished, but I don't think qt (someone who has dealt with deepfake porn for a long time) understands that many people (like Atrioc) are not aware of the MASSIVE impact that deepfake porn has on celebrities (and women in general). I don't believe Atrioc is a bad person, but he definitely did a very bad thing. However, I don't think he would have done it at all had he known the incredible pain it would bring to a lot of people. It's not one of those "sorry he got caught moments", it's more like a "sorry he didn't know how much damage it would cause" moment.
Update on the situation, atrioc went live and announced he was working on a bot spending thousands to take down deepfakes, I think in partner with other streamers not sure tho.

But on another note I know it’s a really gross and creepy concept to pay for that stuff, but honestly in a roundabout way, him bringing attention to it for a week has also helped in getting people to get up and start actually doing something about this apparently rapidly expanding market of exploiting people’s likeness to sell sex.
Nobody would have probably done anything about this for real if it didn’t go viral and there wasn’t a way to elevate their own image in the process. Some of these really vocal people have probably also paid for these sites as well, they just didn’t get caught and get to dog pile on the remains of this guy’s image as a way to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing

She’s still her own person, and as I can tell they’re not exactly attached at the hip. Maybe it’s because I’ve never been a huge atrioc watcher but I didn’t even know he was married until that apology stream. I get they’re legally bound but again she’s her own person.

I thought Hassan preaches about rehabilitation and helping people move on from their worst mistakes. People are human, people make mistakes especially when in the heat of a moment. To think that's enough to exile someone is ridiculous and I would imagine go against progressive left beliefs. The act was wrong and I'm not defending it. But with Atrioc this podcast is like "yea, let's ostracize this person, their dead to us, no relationship with him or his wife". In one breath she is mad he didn't apologize to her before he released his apology video, in the next breath she's upset that he apologized to her first. But I understand, it's mainly QT and she's speaking from her heart and the pain she's experienced. That's her message to her audience: that Atrioc and even Atrioc's wife (a victim of the act) are dead to her in a sense.
QT has always struck me as a very emotionally vengeful person. Like, if she feels hurt by someone, whether they were trying to hurt her or not, she will go out of her way to hurt them back in the heat of the moment. The Babbsity drama comes to mind. Like, I don't think she's making a conscious decision to do it, but her knee-jerk reaction seems to be "Oh yeah? Well fuck you, I'm going to hurt you more than you hurt me." Which isn't always what you want depending on the situation.

It’s not the audience coming back that’s his problem, it’s the fact that he effectively has pushed himself out of the space networking wise, closing some many collaborations, sponsors, brand opportunities, and general exposure/advertising for his content. He’s made enemies with some of the biggest streamers in the space and his closest friends at that. That does a lot of damage to ones future and ripples out to all of the other streamers, managers, employees, and other business relations that won’t touch you because the completely moral, not risky, and normal relationship with the people you hurt is more important than the now morally questionably, risky, and irregular relationship with you.
You don’t make money and find work in entertainment and in life in general by making enemies, because people talk and have their own careers and lives they are going to prioritize over you.
