Mushy bars? Yuck! If your hand-holders are floppin' around, your bike probably handles like squishy spaghetti. Get 'em tight and right with a set of fresh riser bushings. We sort out all the material and style options available to you to get that Harley of yours feeling young again.
I am an old guy and I like the solid riser bushings too.
I bought an 02 heritage the bushings were wore out I bought solids and put on 3-in risers too much vibration for me I'm now adding the polyurethane bushings for less vibration. There is quite a bit more vibration with the solid.
Are 10 degree angle riser bushings a good option instead of a pullback riser swap?
What is the outside diameter of the smaller part of the bushing? (the part that goes inside the triple tree)
of course, since Honda has absolutely nothing aftermarket, looks like an old mans bike and I cant afford a Harley, I'm modifying Harley parts to fit. I put 10" t bars on it, cut them and welded them back together to get the spacing right for the Honda mounting holes, but the 1/2-13 bolts were just a touch big. I drilled out my bushings (metal sleeve) but the rubber was rotten so one sleeve pulled right out and the rubber disintegrated. Now I need new bushings or might have to get a set of solid ones machined. Since Honda doesn't make new bushings, I'm hoping the Harley replacements will fit. short story long they have to have a 1/2" center hole and a 1"OD
I just put ten inch bars on my dyna and did polyurethane bushings so I wouldn’t have more flex but they are vibrating me ALOT what should I do.
I think considering doing a t-bar setup on my road glide and it would be rigid mount with a solid bushing. I'm wondering about how much more vibration would you say that there is.
Not much, all depends on your motor mounts really
Just hold your bike somewhere other then the handlebars while riding.
Thats how much
What about Nylon vs Poly bushing? Which one is better?
Hey all,,,i just got a 2005 night with 16"apes & a vibration going,no play just vibration.should i try polyurethane bushings ?
I have a 91 softail springers. Are the bushing inside the riser not replaceable ? Doesn’t seem like it and if so does that mean I need new risers ?
2004 Road King. Question I have is which rider bushing does the best job or reducing handlebar vibration? The rubber bushing or the poly bushings?
Rubber definitely does the better job of reducing vibration, but they're really only for shorter rise bars. If you want to run apes, you really need to run poly bushings. Rubber bushings allow too much play with apes. -DrewZilla
If I’m putting a riser and bar set up on my road glide which version do I buy? Why doesn’t the LA chopper solid bushing have a top and bottom for touring models ?
I have 7in risers on my Sportster do you recommend poly or solid? Thanks.
put the solid bushings in the freezer for a few days... drop them in and enjoy!
Hey man is there supposed to be any room to wiggle the bolt inside the riser bushing? Or is it supposed to be solid mount with no gap or room to wiggle inside the bushing?
A millimeter of wiggle is fine, but any more and it's possible a sleeve is missing. Keep in mind that the bushing will compress when everything is tightened up by the bolt. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla Is it possible to get solid metal bushings in 12mm?
Im a complete novice
I want to rise my bars 1.5 -2 inches
Do i need to change the handlebar, i like mines
If you like your handlebar, you could consider getting taller risers or getting riser spacers. It all depends on your specific bike model. For additional assistance, feel free to reach out via our website live chat feature, email cs@revzilla.com, or call us at 877-792-9455. -DrewZilla

one of my riser bolts is supposed to have a ground wire attached to it. what happens with that if i go to a countersunk/flush mount setup?
You would just ground to somewhere else on the frame. -DrewZilla
Solid bushings (LA choppers) do they need the washers on them?
They aren't needed. -DrewZilla
Do these things fit the Yamaha Bolts? Solids specially.... Thank you!
No, these are specifically sized to fit Harleys. -DrewZilla
Im 99.9% sure the alloy art are the exact same one's I installed on my bolt.
Hey guys. 2007 SPRINGER with 4 inch stock risers and 12in Outlaw Bars. Any idea what I can use to keep these bars solid? These risers are one piece with threaded studs attached. Testing in the garage I use any old rubber garden hose washer and they button down tight but probably wont get me around the block.
Yes, you need some new bushings and hardware. Take a look at this kit that's specifically for your Springer. -DrewZilla

Thanks. Here's the twist. My bike is a 2007 CVO springer FXSTSSE. I can find the parts for 2006 FXSTS and also 2007 FLSTS but none for my bike. Harley Dealership in my town is clueless as well.
Bad news is, my first recommendation won't work. Good news is, though, that I got together with some of the Harley experts and determined that the Harley parts fiche says that your bike uses standard Harley bushings. Hopefully these should fit the bill. -DrewZilla

My bars had a whole lot of wiggle wobble in them after I dropped my bike one night. The next day I rode and went a little fast off the line and at about 25-30 mph I got really bad speed wobble. I put my bike up after that not knowing what it was and have waited along time to fix it so I could get everything checked out at the same time. I’m broke as fuck now so I’m looking to do a lot of the fixing myself. Yesterday I realized the bolts under the bushings were loosened to I just tightened them up and they seem fine now. I’m still going to replace them but it’s good to know it’s an easy and cheap fix like this.
Lol this story just screams 20 something year old rider 😂 hey not talking shit I was there once. Hope you got everything squared away. Ride safe bro!
got me a 81 honda cm400C need to replace mine thing this might be something i can snag at the shop?
You cannot use Harley riser bushings on the Honda, but you should be able to get these from Honda. -DrewZilla
if they fit snug in the hole, why couldn't you? honestly asking, but wouldn't it just be a customization if it fits the hole?
what size are the riser bushing in mm??
I bought some polyurethane bushings and my bars still twist like with rubber bushings. Is this normal
Have you tightened them to spec? If not, you may need to tighten them some more. Are you running apes? If so, you probably should go with solid riser bushings. -DrewZilla
RevZilla I’m running 6 inch risers. I get about an inch or twist in each direction. I tighten them down pretty tight. Probably tighter then spec. I’m gonna try loosening and tightening to spec and see if that does anything
File 1/16 off the length of the inner sleeve.
where are you guys located
We have offices in Philadelphia and Las Vegas, but we ship from warehouses around the country. -DrewZilla
