I'm Assyrian from Mesopotamia, who speaks the Syriac language. Thanks for helping me find books about my people's mythology. Awesome video!
Thank you.
For a while now I've been searching for ancient history books references until I came across your videos. Thank a million!!
Thanks. Happy to help.
Thank you for your recommendations! They have been helpful :)
The cannanites actually became Hebrew overtime by unifying under a patron god Yahweh that later transferred into monotheism so if you look at Canaanite myths you will see characteristics of Canaanite gods on Yahweh.
Shane Sorensen thank you.
Are you interested in doing a video on Fairy Tales?

I'm not really equipped for that, but thanks for asking. I would recommend the "color" fairy books by Andrew Lang. The Red Fairy Book, The Green Fairy Book, etc.
oooh ok. I´ve definitely heard of him, although I´ve only read one of his books before. The Book of Romance which is a retelling of King Arthur myths.

I have a presentation about Mesopotamia, it's culture.. Give me a specific book to read please. Thank you
Before he died a leading scholar was Samuel Noah Kramer. He has a book called History Begins at Sumer. Try that one.
@@joeyraggs thank you sir i really appreciate that 😊
There’s one more I just remembered reading years ago. Ancient Iraq by Georges Roux. I believe it went beyond just Sumer, and into Babylon and Assyria.
Best of luck with the presentation.
Let me know how it went.

Kuntal Ghosh that’s an interesting question. I’ve never come across a book on Nabatean mythology. I don’t know if there is one, but we do have some knowledge on their gods. Wikipedia has some information. I also found this interesting site:
nabataea.net/explore/culture_and_religion/gods/
