SP was always looking for a new sound, always trying to move and change as the years did. It's like he didnt want to keep the band stuck in a time capsule, so to speak. I also love how he mentioned the importance of radio..the simplicity of it. No ridiculous videos (do the 80's come to mind?) LOL His voice, his musical talents and his ideas are what helped keep Journey in the hearts of their fans throughout the years. He's pretty darn cool!

Herbie Herbert didn't like that Robert Fleishman was a prima dona and that he had a different manager than the rest of the band. Fact is Herbie Herbert wanted him GONE...so he was GONE! Herbie brought Steve Perry in and told the band like it or not he stays.... and it's a darn good thing because if not for Steve Perry's vocal talent and Herbies Managing talent....NO ONE would even know who Journey is today!!!
It sure appears that way. So sad that they are not on speaking terms. I was hopeful after seeing them all together at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, that they would patch things up and do something musically together for the fans once again.
Ohhh,these boys were drunk ,too funny,I had a good friend who served in the Vietnam Conflict,he had his R@R in Japan and saw Journey,he said Steve Perry never stopped moving ,he was jumping all over that stage,I’m so glad The Voice is back singing again,he sounds just as we as he did years ago .

"Video killed the radio star...") I've a vivid imagination and much prefer the visions I create when hearing a song/reading a book. I could sit on the couch and talk to that man for hours & hours!
