Great video . I used to climb up into some of those buildings when I was a kid - back in the late 60's . I think there were more intact metal staircases left back then . Didn't know about the tunnels.
Pity this heritage isn't made more available to the public ✌️

That Searchlight Enplacement brings back great memories of holidays in Sheerness. Back in the sixties it was easier to get to the war camps, as there was a hole in the fence.

Brilliant video fellas. Our "Blue Town Gang" used to explore all of those areas in the early to mid 60's. Brought back a load of memories. Thanks for sharing.

Nice interesting video guy's, a testament to the well built structures from nearly 100 years ago, and still standing today, proud and defiant.

Gone through the docks on many occasions for work. Obviously ive seen these buildings, had no idea what they were, i just assumed they were part of some old factories or something. Thanks for the insight into these.

Used to explore here as a kid in the70’s. The main fort was the epitome of our endeavours, lots of levels and tunnels. Dangerous to get into and more often than not got caught by security guards, worth it though. The fort is no longer accessible from the beach.

Nice film, good spot of the AAA ring in the Tesco's car park. Thousands of people walk past that every year without a clue what it is I bet.

Did you get the chance to visit Fletcher's Battery at Eastchurch? It's inside Palm Springs caravan park. There's still quite a bit surviving, including two circular pill boxes and a mortar spigot. There's more remains of a battery at Barton Point too. Keep up the great work, thoroughly enjoyed it.

We did approach it but didn't venture nearer because of the holiday camp. Would like to see it though we did miss a few bits around Sheppey

@@BeyondthePoint The holiday camp "Palm Springs" is easily accessible, Although you may not be able to take your car inside through the barrier unless you own a holiday home, it is open to pedestrians. You can park your car in the car park outside and walk through without any problem. If you pm me I can show you around.
