Really wonderful stuff & thanks for the shout-out! There's definitely a void for educational concertina videos beyond beginner, very excited to see more! I've been progressing in a very messy way by only becoming an ear-player, so trying to read or write concertina music has been a struggle. I feel exceptionally guilty seeing comments from people who want to learn asking about sheet music, yet when I try to transcribe it feels like a daunting hurdle... I'm excited to learn about your process & push myself to give Musescore a shot again!
Excellent! I always enjoy your concertina arrangement and appreciate sheet music with tablature. Hope many people will learn from your experience and I am sure that the repertoire of anglo concertina music will grow.
Absolutely primo stuff, can't wait for part two! Guess enough people were reaching out with the same questions I had. This will be such an invaluable resource for intermediate players.
While I don't interact with the videos, I avidly watch them. Your work has not gone unnoticed and is the sole reason I have picked up this instrument to learn. Keep up the great work!
Bought a concertina a few years ago, but got disheartened after learning most of the songs in Gary Coovers pirate book. Figured I'd never learn anything outside of his books until I found your videos! Thank you so much!
Also if you're looking for more songs to arrange, "Binks Sake" from One Piece would be amazing! I've seen a couple performances of it on RUclips, but would love sheet music!
Mate this is even better than I could have possibly imagined. Thorough, informative and concise! Thank you so much for this and I can't wait for the next ones (though they, like this one are worth the wait!!!!)
I have a half-finished version of the "Sweden" song from Minecraft somewhere, I remember finding it difficult to get sounding right, so I know your pain.
Man, that's sad to hear :( Are you able to perhaps sell your current one and get a 30-button? You might be able to transpose some songs to the keys of C or G. What's the song you most wanted to play?
Had a quick check, it's in the key on G, and none of the chords seem too crazy. The hardest bit will be the harmony I think; maintaining the drone might be challenging. I have time tomorrow morning, so I shall give it a bash and let you know. I have the chorus of Northwest Passage on my MuseScore page, if you're interested
@@justindosser8148 Order a Concertina? Congrats, hope you enjoy the instrument :) My MuscScore page is here: musescore.com/user/37659330. I've arranged a number of songs, all using Gary Coover's Tablature System. His "Pirate Songs for Concertina" is a great learning resource
@@justindosser8148 gave it a go this morning, got to halfway through verse one. Seems really doable, even got a nice droning bass, but it's a bit slow going due to no existing sheet music I can find (having to play by ear). Another hour or so and I'll probably have up to the end of the first chorus, and that'll probably be as far as I'd go. Still, if/when I get it done I'll share what I've got
Your explaining voice is like well-arranged music to my ears.
Thank you so much for featuring my performance video!
Thanks a lot for what you're doing.
I just bought my first concertina falling in love with your arrangements.
Just bought myself a concertina and your videos will be part of the start of my musical journey. You're a great resource!

You're the GOAT bro 👌👌
Looking forward to more videos! I was trying to arrange some Minecraft music and struggling so looking forward to seeing your tips

I got a new song for you to arrange 😂 Scarborough fair would like to play it some day
buh! Super interesting dude
buh.
I made the mistake of getting a 20 button concertina before I knew more. Now I cant play any of the songs I initially wanted.

Dear old Stan by the dreadnoughts, which tier of difficulty would you say that is to learn?
