Doesn't have the range cornell had, may he rest with the stars..this stuff was definitely influenced by all that music from the Pacific Northwest in the 90s. I won't call it grunge, cause that was just a label made up between the media and the record companies. Maybe even some late 90s nu-metal stuff too. Chord changes are reminiscent of that time

Poetry!!! all of their music is divine. So much truth and pain. “The bigger the river the bigger the drought”. “The only girl who could talk to him she couldn’t swim tell me worse than this”. If you don’t love this band there is something wrong with you. And Johnny is one the most beautiful man I have ever seen there is nothing more beautiful than a man that can share his pain with us in his music that includes the twins too.

I wasnt referring to this band in particular, I actually think Highly Suspect is doing really well. Sadly, mainstream culture has almost entirely abandoned rock and punk altogether. It seems like everything is pop, hip hop, rap etc.. Meanwhile, artists like highly suspect are keeping the music alive for us still paying attention.

I just love this song. Johnny's voice with the piano is so raw. I mean all of Highly Suspect's music is absolutely fantastic, but this is all soul and emotion, and it really highlights Johnny's unique vocals. When I saw them opening for Halestorm in Buffalo, I didn't know who they were just as most. But when they started, I was completely awestruck. Definitely a fan from that moment. M.C.I.D.

This band is so refreshing for Alt rock with today's artist. just in this song I hear both classic rock mixed with modern times. The lyrics and piano reminds me of Elton John but the vocals remind me of well I want to say 3 doors down but I hear lifehouse more so. I'm mainly a metal guy but this band is beginning to become one of my favorites.
