April is the usual time slot for Shanghai GP. It is always raining and gloomy during springtime in Shanghai, which I really don’t enjoy. But there are actually plenty of sunny days here in Shanghai, especially in autumn. The clear sky and crisp air is gorgeous during that time.
@@davidpate6095The summer might be even hotter than in most parts of Texas 😂, always sunny except for the typhoon days, a bit like the east coast of Florida.
The possibility of painting the lawn is zero, because there are still many yellow lawns on the scene. Generally, only green nutrient solution is sprayed, which is good for lawn. The biggest possibility of the fire yesterday was catkins. The sparks from the friction of the chassis hit the catkins.
Hey Kym, I really enjoyed this video. More Shanghai please. Just on social media access in China, I discovered that eSims or foreign sims all work well.
Lol, I thought this weekend would be crazy but this was way too much craziness than what id thought. In what universe do we have a fire on the racetrack, only for 20 minutes later for it to be torrential rain!
I love how you always give as the benefit of the doubt regarding us having things to do. The truth is, we are all scrolling endlessly through the algorithm.
There was a moment on TV during the beginning of one of the qualifying rounds where the camera showed the crowd. I'd say just about every single person had their phone up recording.
Today's qualifying is just so rich and thrilled to view! i woke up being not happy that I only have one day ticket and it's not even Sat's, but who knows I got to watch Lewis almost pole, Zhou's in SQ3, cars were rushing each other in the pit lane in SQ2, grass caught fire twice, racing in the rain, Charles headed out of the track, lots of spin for everybody, last but not least, not a Max in and pole and win race day, I just couldnt ask for more!
well I hope Josh gets some sleep today and after the grand prix. 38hrs without sleep is wild but it's apart of the job. I'm praying we get a P1 and P2 from lando and oscar and zhou gets pole tomorrow
Grass firers in rainy conditions ? The probably is that the reclaimed land the circuit was built on was leaking methane gas.It would not be too far to imagine the painted surface of the track prevented the gas from seeping out so it escaped at the edge of the track. Any danger ? Not unless it builds up in a confined space...after all some of these not soo good presenters will be familiar with escaping hot air !! .
They paint the track and they paint the grass? What happens when a car catches fire with all that paint or a spark from bottoming out? There could be big problems. Is this normal with the other tracks?
It’s really convenient once you’re used to it but sure it could very much be a hassle for visitors. It’s pretty mad to explain as well: imagine if Apple Pay is a feature in the Instagram app and became so popular nationwide that no one carries a wallet anymore? It’s quite a thing to get used to when you first arrive.
yes Mandarin can be seen as a dialect, but as a Chinese who studies English I can tell you it's absolutely fine to say "he/she speaks Mandarin", no Chinese would find that strange, and it's the same with Cantonese; they're dialects AND languages

The Shanghai Citcuit is one of my favorite just in terms of its layout and low speed corners...but the facilities, the tarmac, and the lawn(lmao) probably need an upgrade
Qualifying P1 by 1.3 seconds, while losing .2 of a second on the main straight, because he took his last corner on his “out lap” into the gravel isn’t lucky. The stewards were just too dumb to read their own track regulations
painting the grass.... typical chicom tofu dreg stuff right there.... when I saw this happen i literally said "I wouldn't be surprised if the grass was paper...."
OMG the home crowd today was wild. Come on Zhou!!!!!!!!!
So nice how everyone pitched in to help you locate your driver.
Bianchi is a world class bicycle manufacturer. That bike happened to use Shimano components.
Exactly. One of the iconic classic brands.
Not Campagnolo? Sacrilege! 😜
They even had an own team at the Tour with Jan Ullrich.
And we can tell that bike is a bit old with that design and caliper brakes. I guess at least 10 years old.
I own 1
Both FP1 and qualifying were wild.

Cool part with local young folks checking you out and trying to help!
and no mention of Daniels unbelievable basketball shot, look it up Kym !
I saw the video after I recorded mine
The track had a seal-coat of liquid bitumen applied .. not sure about anything being painted except possibly the grass.
cool, love the background infos!
Kym you've managed to increase both the quantity and the quality of your offerings. Well done.
Everyone has different standards.
Thanks so much!

7:14 🥲 I bet we’ll see this kid racing f1 in about 13 years.
He grand father was Mr Karting?

Pretty spicy day at the track yesterday Kym, thanks for the update, never short of good content and unexpected experiences to find in China😂
Glad you enjoyed it!

When Fernando and Hamilton get the front row, I freaked out and then Max behind them is even crazier

Andre stellar aka Crazy Eyes!
Yeah, they painted the sky too, Kym 🙃
3:24 - push the butting 😂
Bianchi is one of the most well know bicycle brands in the world. No connection with Jules on this one
It’s always nice seeing BTS of races like these. Not been here for 4 years so if you can, more BTS would be nice, especially around Shanghai!
You gotta interview the guy who got stuck in Dubai and tell his story
Thank you for sharing Kym! Those might have been teenagers. I saw teenagers in Israel act the same way around a foreign vlogger 'excited' 😀.

Always passionate, Kym. Now, what caught your attention at the end of the video? Regards from the UK 🌞

No comment on Gasly's new Moser watch?

Sheraton ?? I thought you stay at the Hyatt
Chick in front of hamilton @1:05 can tell when dinner is ready

Wonderful, thanks Kym! When you say they painted the track, do you mean the actual tarmac, the racing surface?
They spray the grass to make it greener

Do not give misinformation. The grass fire's reason is the grass isn't turn green because the temperature.

Don't go comparing baby Stroll to John Travolta. That's insulting.
I’ve already done it
So glad I live in a non-communist country where I am free to push the butting randomly
So all the paint that has been applied to the track and grass has cancelled carbon neutral until 2050!
