I usually don’t watch 10 minute videos but I was disappointed when this one ended, I was so into it I didn’t notice how long I had been watching, ZO6/O7 is amazing, it looks so poised and planted, never wiggles and boy it really gets up out of corners, on the other hand, what a testament to the ZLE’s trick DSSV suspension and Alpha chassis development that it can not only hang with but even get by a C8 ZO6/O7, nice driving! I like that sometimes downshifts aren’t necessary with the LT4’s fat torque curve.
Definitely! The Z07 may be the faster car, but the fact that steel was able to put enough pressure on the driver to get a pass by speaks volumes on both the ZL1 1LE as a track car, and him as an excellent driver. And that was on the Supercar 3s; imagine the stock 3Rs!
Love your ZLE videos and driving! As a modified C6 ZR1 , C7 Z06 , ....and ZLE track driver with lots of track experience ....I can appreciate your efforts and skill ! He doesn’t really need more power honestly. The Camaro is only 20 horsepower down on the Z06, but has significantly more torque and makes it everywhere in its rev range. There’s a reason why it was nipping at the Vette’s heels during several different times in the video, and that was on Goodyear Supercar 3s. Had the 1LE been on the R comps that it comes with from factory, it would’ve been an even closer battle. The ZL1 1LE really only needs a bit of weight loss, but then again, the engineers at GM probably did as best they could in that regard, outside of removing the rear seats entirely.

ZO6 is fast but you got this dialed in! Driver skills ZL1 > ZO6. Amazing content.
