This enthusiastic guy's name is Rolf Sanchez and this is his song. Originally in a salsa version. Rolf reached the 1st. place in the Latin Billboard in the US with this song.
Yeah, it's cool how she (I assume with the talented musicians in the band) turned a salsa song into a power ballad.
Correction: this was his song, until Floor decided to sing it. Now it's hers 😂

@@christinebardin5547 Rolf grew up in the Dominican Republic ... so he has that, Cuban and even Miami's style in his music. Floor adapted it to a mix of that with metal / rock
We metal heads are so insanely spoiled having the greatest singers in the entire world like Floor Jansen and Tatiana Shmaylyuk, and people outside the genre have never heard of them before. I'm proud of Floor for going on this show and demonstrating her insane talent and years of hard work. This is an awesome song, but so far it's my least favorite of the three Beste Zangers songs she's done. You should check out Floor Jansen - Mama from Beste Zangers 2019.

the guy which is so amazed is actually the original performer of this song, this is why he is so amazed. the concept of the show is, that all singers sing one song each of one other artist, every evening one other artists song.
The coolest part is---- this was Rolf Sanchez's own Number One hit song Floor was singing back to him. After three weeks of this, I saw one commenter on one of these vids who said, "Tuomas must be sitting at home watching this, with a bottle of Imaginarium Wine, thinking, "I'm luckiest guy in the world. I've got the greatest singer in the world at the front of my band." But, in reality, he already knows that! :D
A neat thing happened to me. I was in a private twitter conversation with Floor. She picked me after I had been so complimentary to her. I just mentioned how many people love her and that the video reactions to her many Nightwish performances have brought her millions more fans. She was so thrilled for all the love and of course wanted to know where I was from and said hopes to send a little gift one day. It was such a thrill to get her in a personal conversation and praise her as she truly is one of the best singers in the world. I was star struck. She has done many times of music including opera. At 17 or 18 she was already singing in a famous metal band called After forever. (Great band) Thanks for highlighting her on many of your reaction videos.

This was Floor's first time singing in Spanish, she didn't know how to sing it in the original Salsa version. So she Metal'd it up and Rolf was excited to hear how it would sound. Rolf is the original singer of this song, that's why he went all crazy over this.
Check out Henk's version of Noelia, a song that Rolf never sings anymore because it was his grandmothers favorite song.
And Samantha's version of Solo Tu, Rolf's grandfathers favorite song that he sang for his funeral.
Kristin, you have to listen to Floor Jansen - Mama. It's from the same show. It's in Dutch, and she sang it for Samantha Steenwijk (original singer). I was blown away.
And just in case you're wondering why the older guy sitting on the left is less enthusiastic: he's the only one who already knew Floor Jansen before they went on this show together. So he's not surprised she can do it. :-)

More backgroundinfo on this video from the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers (Best Singers): Floor is singing his song. He wrote that song after his 3,5 year relation with his girfriend ended. Rolf himself is a latin/salsa singer and he never expected Floor to turn his latin/salsa song into a rocksong. That's why he was so pleasantly surprised and very enthusiastic, because he liked Floor's version very much.

Just a small hint about the show:
Every week one singer is the chosen out of the 7 in the show. And the other 6 performs a song related to that singer. It's either a song from them or a song that is dear to them.
This week was Rolf Sanches' week. That's why he is so blown away by Floor.
Also Look for Denise Hofs' channel, if you would like to see the whole show. She translates the episodes every week. It's a great show. I love all 7 singers. I hope that Denise has got the time to do this seek's show too, which was the 3rd one in the series.
Next week will be Floor's week, so she won't sing. But the others will sing her songs. I can't wait for that.

there is a lot more to that story, floor suprized him the most. this song is a love letter to an ex girlfrend of his. and its a latino song and that floor could pull it off as a rock song, and still keep it as his song amazed him a lot.

@@KristinKali They're all accomplished singers on the show, the old dude used to do opera for example. Each episode they put one singer in the center and the rest cover a song near and dear to them. Usually their own work bit when Floor did the Vilja song she took a song his mother used to sing. But yeah the guy in the center going nuts is the original singer who loves her take on his work.

Rolf Sanchez stated beforehand that he can't even imagine how Floor or anyone could "rock-up" his salsa hit song that spent 8 weeks on top of radio charts in Latin America. He was utterly amazed how she transformed the song and made it her own. She said that it was important for her to sing his song in Spanish for him, but also for all of the Nightwish fans in Latin America.

I went to look for the original version from Rolf after hearing this, and I have to say, I love Floor's version, but I love Rolf's original at least just as much. Doesn't matter how gray and gloomy the weather outside is, his version immediately makes it summer in my head.... love it!

Fun fact, his native language isnt Spanish, its Dutch, like Floor and all the other singers there :)
This, imho, is top quality television, good old fashioned "slow tv" and a breath of fresh air, compared to the million of mediocre tv shows we got these days.
This show isnt a contest, its a "get together for singers" who then honor the other singers (each gets his/her own episode, being honored by the others) by singing the honoree's songs, or songs special to them.
Rolf had a massive hit with this song in the Latin charts, and Floor changed his salsa song into a slow rock song, and it still a very nice song to listen to (has a bit of a "heroes del silencio" vibe to it)
Next week, its Floor's turn to be the honoree, and that episode is going to be mad fun, a salsa singer, pop singer, dutch traditional singer, rock singer, dutch pop singer and a Opera singer, most doing metal songs to honor her. (the older gentleman is the one to watch that evening i think, he's the Opera singer i mentioned, and the guy sitting on the left side of the cute girl in red (her right side) also should be really good that evening, he's the rock singer)
So eventho we're not getting a song sung by Floor next week, we will get songs BY Floor next week (after forever, nightwish and songs Floor loves, not sung by her)

@@KristinKali oh, i most certainly did not mean it in that way, but looking/reading back, i can see that it can be read that way :D so, my wording wasnt as clear as i meant, and i truly mean "he's a dutchie" hehe, loved your reaction from start to end, and its very easy to forgive, not knowing about the ins and outs of this show, its not very clear from the clips themselves, on what type of show it is. Too me this is how tv shows should be (again). I hope you'll check out some more performances from this show, other than floor's performances, each season had amazing gems, and i hope you'll discover them all :D

That is Rolf Sanchez. This is one of his songs. He sings salsa and reggaeton music. She is killing it! All of the complete shows can be found on line. Some are already translated. They are fun to watch. It is like watching a reaction show. Seeing how all of the singers react to other singers doing their songs or music styles in a very intimate setting. Can you imaging sitting on that couch and having Floor sing your favorite song to you in a personal performance. Wow! I may pass out from the exhilaration and cry like a baby! React to Mama from 2 weeks ago, It is wonderful as well!

There is actually a short interview of Rolf Sanchez after this saying what he thought. One of our friends Denise Hofs has been kind enough to translate each of these full episodes with English subtitles. Episode 1 is on RUclips. Episode 2 got blocked, so she put it on dailymotion.com. Episode 3, only part 1 got blocked by RUclips while part 2 is up. But both parts of Episode 3 are on dailymotion. With the dailymotion links, Episode 2 autolinks flawlessly from part1 to part2, but Episode 3 autolinked to the wrong follow on vid after part1 finished. I had to manually select the part2 for that one. It is fun to watch the whole show, as the other singers are also very good and are very likable people! Besides our goddess Floor, my favorites are Henk Poort (the elderly opera baritone) and Tim Akkerman. Although this guy, Rolf Sanchez, is starting to really impress me with his ability to hit and maintain those killer Floorgasm notes himself! You might enjoy watching them in your spare time.
