Well, it was hard to tell before the party started when a kid would just yell "Hi Aladdin!" -- it could have gone either way I guess. Pretty sure that wasn't the case when everyone was dressed up.

if your costume is too realistic, they are allowed to ask you to change so as not to confuse guests as to who the actual characters are. They actually kicked out a girl dressed as tinker bell for that reason, it made the news.

Typically they don't enforce that rule for Halloween party guests, who are also able to enter the park in costume a few hours before the actual party.
