    SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with the fourth set of their Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral on Jan 29, 2020 (third operational batch). Starlink is a global communications system designed by SpaceX with the intent of delivering low-cost broadband internet worldwide.

    I didn't know that the Earth apparently changes shape and size! At about 4 mins into the video to the right screen switched views and the Earth apparently turned from a circular curve to a concave curve. Now that's amazing!

      I've seen a "real" picture of Earth showing Florida USA taking up almost a quarter of the earth itself

Although very near the time is closing where all will be revealed no stone will be left unturned then you'll have to see or you could just get over your pride and admit to yourself that it's all been a sham and yes we have never been outside of low earth orbit. In fact I'm fairly certain that there is no such thing as outer space and we are closed tight in this fish bowl. Yeah that's right this is it there's no where else to go. We are all stuck in this thing together so suck it up buttercup 😜

      Sadly, SpaceX is not publically traded, so acquiring shares of it is no easy tasks. Otherwise I would be buying some too.

      @@dreadcthulhu6842 I will be turning 70 in just a few months. I would do just about ANYTHING to own a single share of SpaceX, if and when it ever is publicly traded, so that I could leave a legacy of space exploration to my children :-) One thing on my bucket list (if I can live long enough) is to see a SpaceX launch! Is anyone out there an old time fan of Robert Heinlein? If so, maybe you remember how D.D. Harriman was the force behind private exploration of space. I wish I could smack the all of the flat Earthers across the face. I know they are denying that this successful launch ever happened, and that everything we've seen in this video is "fake". Well, this launch was real, and the Earth is STILL round. this is reality. Get used to it!

The Sandy Hook cretins especially fill me with loathing. Anyway, in order to stand up for empirical truth, these people DO need to be slapped, and slapped HARD. We are facing serious problems due to climate change. The LAST thing we need are nut-cases with fingers in their ears shouting la-la-la-la! A big stick seems just about what we need.

    Amazing. For a summary though, what happened to a clip of the deployment? and it would be great to see the catch of the fairings. Even the misses would be great video.

    Still fascinated watching vertical rocket landings. I wonder if it would be possible for a booster that's on it's last useful mission if it could land somewhere in Europe and become a museum piece in like Germany or France. Of course only the rocket shell would be on display. What a spectacle that would be of an American rocket with only a peaceful purpose landing in Germany where rocketry had it's beginning.

    I am new to these types of videos as i have only recently started to think upwards. But I am amazed and impressed. And i am ashamed to admit honestly, that none of this looks at all like what my brain keeps expecting it to. So i think i get why so many people just give up trying to understand more about it and decide something extremely silly must be happening instead. The more we know the easier it is to understand how it all works.

    So what's going on around 6:15 +second mark.... where that liquid bubble flows over top of the engine (top of bell in darkened area.... not flame area) then camera moves away.?????

      NASA launches rockets of this size all the time. SLS is equivalent to launching a Saturn V.

      @@jamesfowler6306 Yes, it hasn't launched once, but that is true for every rocket before it's first launch. LOL But comparing a falcon 9 to SLS is like comparing a tug boat to a battleship.
      SLS will be capable of much more than launching a small payload into low Earth orbit.

      @@jamesfowler6306 The O-ring failure on the Space Shuttle happened in 1986 (34 years ago). The design was changed and the result was no failure after that. So yes, they did learn from that.
      I never said that any SpaceX rocket was a toy.
      SLS is in the testing phase. It will launch most likely next year.

      The second stage engine? One on each side so it looks like it's going the opposite direction but it's not, its the orientation and position of the camera.

      Even if this were true, what does that say about our government? Smh. I could care less about the shape of Earth, but I DO care about how our government is siphoning our tax dollars more and more amassing fucktons of our money to no end, and for what? Since Space X is "doing so well," why do we even need NASA? Space X isn't even private anymore, it's literally a part of our government now, by contract, or otherwise.. does this not upset you? I work awfully hard just to struggle by.. They shall NOT govern my mente any longer.

    6:15, right side. something starts to fall off the engine. Then they switch cameras.
    Shouldn't there still be enough thrust to hold it in place? And why is there something falling off the rocket to begin with?

    The landing system is nice..but what happens if for say weather reasons they dont have enough fuel .. is there a contingency plan

      Fuel wouldn't be the issue. Just the weather at sea and the swell size of the waves. If I recall correctly if the landing site is too hazardous they scrub the launch. It's only happened a few times though I believe.

      Also if the fuel should become an issue, I think the contingency plan is to try not to hit the barge.

    Wouldn't it be easier to have the fairing open like a clam-shell? Add some parachutes to it and catch it that way?

      It does come down on a parachute wing. Watch the SpaceX feed for the one they caught on the ship.

      Parachutes don’t work in no atmosphere then they’d get ripped off because of the weight plus velocity once it hits thicker air

    I find it fascinating they can launch a rocket and then land the stage and/or boosters back on land, but they cannot seem to get the damned video to work everytime.

    Why the fish eye filter on the rocket base? Its that need at all? Show me the real perspective camera please i dont want to see things distorted or photoshoped . its too much to ask? Thanks

    What I notice the most is that SpaceX doesn't cancel/postpone the launches nearly as often (almost never) as NASA use to. Which is amazing!

    Why do they keep accelerating? Why cant they just go at a constant 100 kph or 2000kph ? Sure it takes longer but still

      Rockets cant not accelerate. If the engine is burning its accelerating. Spaceflight is about reaching certain speeds to get to where you need to go. So to get to low Earth orbit you need to accelerate to a speed of 17,500mph. After that speed is reached engines can be cut and the vehicle will now orbit around the planet now having enough outwards energy to balance out the inward pull of gravity.

    I'm 64 and have always wondered why we couldn't land rockets like in the sy fy movies and to see it happen is amazing
