i was confused because there was no text in the video stating when a round starts/end or just the pattern for each round so here's the written pattern:
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
tc: triple crochet
slst: slip stitch
inc: 2 double crochets in one stitch
Hat:
round 1: ch 3, 13 dc in the magic ring (13)
round 2: slst in 1st stitch or the first dc, ch 3 (or do the weird-double-crochet thing), 13 inc (26)
round 3: slst in ch3, (inc, dc) repeat until end (39)
round 4: slst in ch3, (inc, dc, dc) repeat until end (52)
round 5: slst in ch3, (inc, dc, dc, dc) repeat until end (65)
round 6: slst in ch3, (inc, 12dc) repeat until end. note that in the last part of the round there isnt enough space to fit 12dc, so aslong as you have 71 stitches you're good.
round 7-14: slst in ch3, and dc in each stitch
round 15: slst in ch3, (inc, dc) repeat until end
round 16: slst in ch3, (inc, inc, inc, inc, dc) repeat until end and fasten off
Leaves:
Make 5 leaves
ch 12, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc, sc, hdc, 2 hdc in one st, 2 dc in one st, 2 tc in one st, dc, hdc, sc
(working in the other side of the leaf) ch 1, sc, hdc, dc, 2 tc in one st, 2 dc in one st, dc, 2 hdc in one st, sc, sc, slst, fasten off (leave a long tail for sewing)
Stem:
row 1-7: 5 sc in mr, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing
THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS HELPED A LOT
Life saver right here!
I love you 😘😘😘😍😍😍
omg ilysm
i just love you
I think a great addition to this video would be a stitch count somewhere on the screen! Or even just a mention before/after each row would be super helpful. Either way, awesome tutorial
hi! yes unfortunately i forgot to add them :(
i’ll try and add them in future videos because i agree! having the stitch count is very helpful!
that's great to hear, ill be sure to watch more of your videos :D
regardless of little details, its very high quality and easy to follow so thank you for making this for free
I wonder if you could add them with subtitles!
@@booooop pero en español somos muchas hispanas que no sabemos inglés y cuesta trabajo entender las indicaciones
Leaves make 5:
Chain 12
sl in 2nd chain from hook, 2 sc, hdc, 2 hdc in the next st, dc, 2 dc in the next st, 2 tc in the next st, dc, hdc, sc in the last st.
ch 1, sc in the other side of the starting chain, hdc, dc, 2 tc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st, dc, 2 hdc in the next st, 2 sc, sl, fasten off
thank you for this i was so tired of rewinding ;-;
THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG
thank youuuu
It looks like you’re missing a hdc for the second side
Perfect tutorial. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much for the tutorial! One of my favorite projects so far ! So cute 🍓❤️ & well explained
I love this so much!! Its adorable😍💕
thank you so much! 🫶🫶
Awesome! ❤❤❤❤
great tutorial, ty!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it came out great & was easy to follow!
im a beginner and just finished it in about 8-10h. thank you so much!
you’re very welcome! glad you found the video helpful :D
Hi just a question is it really ok if white yarn inside looks really messy?
@@myra8158 no one's going to see it so it's fine
10 HOURS?! I FINISHED WITHIN A WEEK AND IM NIT EVEN A BEGINNER, AWESOME JOB DUDE
10 hours?!? Dang thats so long it toom me 5h
Using a stitch marker helps with keeping counts correct.
Love the video! Is there a way to make this for a baby?
Thank you!! :D
thank you for this pattern!! tip for a more seamless look: sew the leaves and stem together before sewing it onto the hat. the greens look more cohesive that way 💖💖
omg such a good idea i can’t believe i didn’t think of that!! i’ll definitely try that thank you so much 💖
Very cute❤
thank you🥺💖
nice tutorial! i followed this but i did the continuous crochet, which I didn't put any slip stitch in each row. but still did your different double crochet at the beginning of each row. it turned out fine, i love it. thanks!
Is it supposed to be small cuz mine turns out to be small every time 😭😭
@@ManishaMagar-vd2jxmine is also
great video !! i made a little rabbit hat 👍
Thanks for the tutorial! On the leaf, are you working on the front loop only (FLO) when you turned the leaf and are working on the 2nd side? Thanks!
hi! i believe i am working through both the front and back loops for the entire leaf! hope this helps :)

Thank you so much for the tutorial, your idea is lovely💞. I was crocheting the body of the hat and it turned out huge...does anybody have any advice?
So glad you found it helpful! If it's turning out too big, you might be crocheting too loosely. Sizing down your hook might help! you could also just start R1 with 12 dc instead of 13, and keep everything else the same. Hope this helps!
@@meldycrochet Thank you so much!❤❤❤
great tutorial! i made a hat for my brother after watching it. however, i suggest that you put the pattern on the screen so that we wouldn't be confused. i also suggest that you slow down for a bit. thanks
As I was crocheting the body of the hat my rows started to ruffle and I noticed yours was still circular, would I need to restart and if so did I maybe make it too tight before? Thank you for the cool tutorial 💕
hi! this could be for various reasons. for me, this usually happens when your yarn is thicker (different brands can have different thicknesses even if they’re the same weight) and in that case, you can place less increases in row 1 (place 12 instead of 13)
if you’re more comfortable with crochet and are good at improvising patterns, you can undo your work until you get rid of the ruffles parts and continue but place less increases in each row if that makes sense.
if you need more assistance lmk! good luck :)
Thank you for the tutorial, how many inches is the hat across before you stop increasing?
I just made a hat and I got 7 inches 😊
I loved it♥️ may I know if how many grams of red yarn did you used?
hi! it should be around 55 grams (~125 yards) hope this helps :)
It turned out so cute!!! I wanted to do this hat for a 3 years old child, how many rows do you recommend me doing?
hmm, i’m not too sure! i would guess maybe try doing 7 double crochets in the first row and continue as usual? i’ve never made a hat that small before so so not sure! it might be helpful to take a look at some other videos that make smaller hats :)
hope this helped!
i did the math cuz i’m making one for a 4yr old, it’s 6.36 inches in diameter for the top of the hat. :)
@@jordonkazmin7879would it be smaller for a one year old?
is fhis possible to make in cotton yarns?
any tips for the leaves? mine are turning out bad/with holes and i keep trying to get it right
Slow the video down. She talks way too fast. Once I did that my leaves turned out fine
hey im starting to make mine and I see that I got weight 3 yarn so its a bit smaller than yourse, and I wanted to ask if its going to be a lot smaller or if it is posible to do it with that one? because if its not I need to buy other yarn before I finish this one completely. :)
hi! yes it’ll probably be smaller! you can also put 14 dc instead of 13 to accommodate or just get weight 4 yarn :)
Is weight 4 yarn equivalent to a DK yarn in UK terms? I'm new to crochet and trying to wrap my head around the types of yarn etc. do you need much and does it matter what fibre it is? E.g. is cotton ok or does acrylic work better?
Mr:5sc
7 rows
Does it get smaller than when you start making the rim ? Cause mine is very very large and I don’t see how it’s so much bigger .
oh no! it won’t get smaller when you add the rim :(
sizes can differ due to different yarn (even if they might be the same weight) and how each person crochets! i found that i tend to have tighter stitches which could be why mine is smaller :(
sorry, how many yarn rolls do you need to make it? thanks
hi! i think i used around 150 yards of weight 4 red yarn? hope this helps :)
What size hook did you use for the hat ?
If i use a 5m hook, what would the count be in the beginning?
hi! i would recommend doing 12 dc in the magic ring instead of 13! everything else should stay the same, but you can play around with it to find what works for you :)
12 cadenas
en la 2da cadena hago 3 puntos bajos
3 p ma
leugo 1 puntso altos y 1 aumento de palto
leugo 2 doble boble punto alto (aumento)
1 punto alto
1 mpa
1pb y 1 chain
hi! is it ok if i use 5ply of yarn and 4,5 mm hook?
Sure use any yarn and hook that you think fits :)
It will make the finished results bigger tho
What brand yarn do you use?
hi! sorry i usually put it in my caption but i guess i forgot!
Red: pound of love in the shade cherry
Green: caron one pound grass green
White: pound of love in the shade antique white
hope this helps :)
12:41
How much time did it take to make?
hi! i think it took me 3ish hours? not entirely sure but the crochet part passes by pretty quickly!
If I don't have a 4mm hook is it better to use a 5.75mm hook or a 3.75mm hook?
3.75 would definitely be better

Is there a written pattern?
not yet :(
I have a question 🙋♀️ mine is turning out flat 😢😅what did I do wrong!? I have tried so many times 😅
😢😢😢😢
Yeaah mine too🙃 did you find solution? If you did can you share with me
@@sainabanavas8550 yes there was another tutorial that specified that you need to make a circle for on top of your head using double crochets until it covers only top of your head and then go In the back loops only for one row and then continue normally and then do until ears then do ruffles 😆 sorry if it sounds confusing I will find the tutorial it was for a mushroom hat but it works for strawberry to
My leaves are coming out too thin IDK WHAT IM DOING WRONG 😢
hi! sorry for the late reply, it might be an issue with the thickness of your yarn? you also might be making tighter stitches! you can fix this by using a bigger hook. hope this helps!
@@meldycrochet unfortunately it was, but I fixed it by doubling up my green yarn and my hat turned out so cute thank youuuu!
