How do you think the medium compares to the large for someone around 200lbs? Would it still be possible to stern squirt the large?

The large will be tough to 'play' in. It will however be really solid as a harder river runner.
We have chatted to a bunch of people in this weight range. Our advice is that if you are looking for a more playful boat go medium, a river runner for harder water the large.

On the market for a new boat and came across this today, currently paddle an rpm, how will this compare on the water to an rpm, handling, playability, river running etc

Hi Kris. I had an RPM for many years, I haven't paddled one in awhile though. From my memory, the Rewind is a heck of a lot more comfortable (new seat and higher knee position). I would say stern squirts are equally easy. Where the rewind is really different is the bow volume and rocker. The RPM is really flat so requires more manipulation for boofing etc. The Rewinds bow rocker has it ride over features and accelerate through them with ease.
I would say the Rewind is a bit faster overall.
When it is planing, the Rewind really flies. Sometimes it is a bit hard to turn on plane, but, if you are used to the RPM you should have no trouble pivoting turns off the stern.
I have paddled Dagger boats for over 20 years and think the rewind is my favorite (a close tussle with the original nomad)

I use the braaap 69 and I am confident in class 3s would the rewind be a bad choice? I am now on my 1 1/5 years of paddling

Thanks for the question. I have only paddled the Braap briefly so don't have a super good handle on that boat. My gut tells me if you paddle a Braap the Rewind will feel somewhat similar. Certainly some design differences but similar enough that I don't see you having switching boats.
