Dang. I bought a temp auto control from eBay a few months ago and tried to plug it into my LX 2014 civic with hopes that it would work. As expected, it did not work. I didn’t really care for auto temp, just wanted a functioning light up screen on my temp control. I was really excited to see this video posted but turns out this process is super complicated.
Completely unrelated question, but I’m about to wire in an aftermarket radio to my LX and I had a thought regarding the reverse camera on the iMID. I want to take pins 19, 3, and 14 and move the pins to my own female molex connector, and then do custom wiring with the male end for 3 and 19 into an RCA Jack for my head unit. What I’m curious about though, would pin 14 would work fine to trigger reverse on the aftermarket radio? Not sure what signals are used to tell the iMID to switch to the reverse camera but I imagine it’s the same signal a head unit would be looking for.
It should be. It appears to be a switch from the reverse light relay. You can probe it with a multimeter, my guess is you'll see battery voltage with the car not in reverse and ground with the car in reverse or vice versa. (do this with the car in ACC 2 and with the parking brake set). Let me know.
@@civicminded2141 I've been experimenting with it and have found on a forum thread that it does work as a reverse signal wire, however the issue I was having with wiring is finding where pin 1 actually is. I bought an iMiD harness online that is originally meant to add a reverse camera to the iMiD screen for EX models and was attempting to repin it to split the camera feed and signal wire out, though blew two fuses and haven't had the time to inspect the iMiD harness since.
EasyEDA does for nylon prints. Xometry and Quickparts appear to do ABS, but not sure how much it would be. I'll do some more research on that. Apologies for the late reply.
Hi- sorry for the late reply. Theoretically it could, however, the only automatic climate control unit for the 2012 Civic in the US market was for the hybrid, which would require some extra circuitry.
I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. This is going to the top of the list of things to do for my civic!
Would you consider selling someone a ready to install box and the custom wire harnesses? I have a 15 civic Si that is begging for this 😀

@Kenneth-bm5zr Zach and I are working on a way to make it work without the black box, if the Si and LX support it.
Same situation bro😢😂
Wish I saw this before I ordered mine, I plugged it in and it turns on automatically, and it unable to turn off

Is there an online service that can print the box for you if you send them the design file?

Does this work on a 2012 civic? They’re not too different I think besides body styling.
