    My theory is that Tenz might want to step back from competing this year because of everything going on (I really don’t blame him, I don’t think I would or could concentrate on playing if I were in his shoes) and so that’s why marved was brought in and why there might start to be some role swaps happening.

      Kyedae wouldn’t want him to do that. She said she wanted everyone to treat her the same, even tenz. She enjoys watching him compete and that probably gives him more motivation now if anything.

    • @ジュニアー05
      @ジュニアー05 Год назад +1

      @Box I think what kyedae wants while very important is somewhat ignorable. She's clearly saying that cos she doesn't wanna harm tenzs career. But time with ur dying fiance can't ever be regained especially if she does die, but a career can be rebuilt, especially someone of tenzs calibre. If i were tenz and kyedae were looking to be in serious condition or heading that way I would choose to bench myself in a heartbeat.

    • @Box-box
      @Box-box Год назад +2

      @@ジュニアー05 it looks like they caught it pretty early and has pretty good prognosis since she didn’t even start treatment right away, with the type she has, they usually do. She’s young and cancer treatments has advanced so much nowadays, high chance her body will react well to the chemo. She’s even competing in game changers. It’s tough but she’s being positive about it so I think it would be a disservice to her if people around her starts acting like she’ll die soon or something.

    • @ジュニアー05
      @ジュニアー05 Год назад

      @Box I agree with ur final point 100% but u can't ignore the fact the 5 yr survival rate is 30%, and it only plummets from there. I think her community should stick by what she wants (which for now is let it be and move on), but if I were her fiancé, already with millions and an incredible streaming career no matter his pro scene activity, I would wanna put her first and leave the pro scene to spend time with her. If she does die, which is very possible sadly, I would give it all up to spend even another hour with her. I say that as a happy man with a gf of 6 yrs, so I speak from experience.
      Still doesn't change the fact that I'm just speculating and saying my opinion tho. They're both free to do what they want, their lives not mine. 🤷‍♂️
      P.s. jic u dk she has AML specifically I believe. So feel free to do ur own research on that ig.

    The theory that Yay left because of that incident doesn't seem too insane to me personally. At that time, we had no idea about financial issues, and any reasonable person would have assumed that C9 wouldn't make a massive investment like Yay without due diligence, which it seems like is the issue now. All we knew was that he was leaving, leaving the most obvious conclusion to be that OBVIOUSLY you don't drop yay, if he's not gonna be in C9 then it means he left of his own accord, and the only reason you could come up for that is that maybe them laughing while he looked pissed on stage indicates a deeper divide between the team.

    I understand that for people outside Brazil, the statistics may point to a country that is highly prejudiced and genocidal towards LGBT+ people, but that is not the reality here, I suggest that they invite a Brazilian to the program to talk about this issue, I believe that this can break prejudices that people have in relation to Brazil

    • @zephyrod7307
      @zephyrod7307 Год назад +1

      Is it really prejudices if it’s based on statistics? Of course that shouldn’t extrapolate to “every brazilian hates lgbtq” or something stupid like that but statistically brazil isn’t very good about allowing trans people to exist, and that maybe should play a factor in selecting a venue for something like GC

    • @Eder5510
      @Eder5510 Год назад +1

      @@zephyrod7307 If I were to explain, the text would be too long, but simply speaking: Brazil is a big country and each region seems like a different country, with parts that are more prejudiced and others less, and there is a great social difference factor and each class is different. different door to that, and all these regrettable statistics usually come from the marginal part of the country, which is a good part of the population, there is a strong tendency and culture of "Being macho" in these regions creating strong prejudice with LGBT+, this makes it difficult for them to have jobs dignified, leading the majority of this population to work with prostitution or trafficking. already in my reality poor middle class, that the main public of valorant, the LGBT+ movement, is extremely strong on the part of the younger population (up to approximately 30 years old) so much so that we have one of the biggest LGBT+ meetings in the world that is even in the guinnes book . from my point of view the event will not take place in any dangerous region, the possibility of some stupid person appearing to do something bad would be the same as in better-built mentality countries.

    • @Eder5510
      @Eder5510 Год назад +1

      @@zephyrod7307 I'm sorry for the long text, but the main point is: statistics speaking about Brazil as a whole, are always subject to being "half true" the country is unequal in several senses. I think it's worth using them, but you have to keep that in mind.

      @@Eder5510 i think you sad it all, and theres always an acussation about brazil. Every time we get to shine, to receive a main event, to let our people cheer, to show ourselves to the world, we always have some negative comments. Even Loud got to place in a D box in some of the conversations on platchat last year, after what they did the whole year. Theres always a "although" every time we get something for us, almost like the comunity look down on us just to be in a different countruy. sometimes its tiring. ALways have to pull of something that is undeniably good to make ourserlves believed. Come on...

    About Game Changers in São Paulo and the statistics on the deaths of LGBTQIA+ people in Brazil, some things must be taken into account: Brazil really suffers from a lot of violence, and we have many cases of homicides, and I don't know how the statistics in the USA, but the way it is done in Brazil can confuse some people. The homicide rate against LGBTQIA+ people in Brazil does not mean that it was a homophobic crime. If a trans person is murdered during a robbery, which is a very common crime in Brazil, they enter the list of trans people murdered, and many people who come from outside understand these inflated numbers as murder for the crime of homophobia, when in fact it is not. So if you take the numbers of a country like Brazil, which has a serious problem with security, and you see these numbers, you will think that we are the most homophobic country in the world. But most of these murders are not motivated by homophobia, it is a reflection of a country with a high rate of violence. It is also important to say that Brazil is the country that hosts the largest LGBTQIA+ party in the world, which takes place precisely in São Paulo, and has already had 4 million people on Av. Paulista in a single day.

    on the game changers thing my main problem is the number of teams :( like if they do the coolest productions ever then the crowd size doesn't matter as much, but the teams ans players around the world are going to keep growing and getting better if they don't get more chances to compete internationally and learn from that :( I just want the players to grown and get better to eventually get on the t2 and t1 spaces.. edit: also yeah br is not the most trans friendly place and not every trans player in gc "passes" and I worry a little for their safety and comfort going to the event :/

    • @vitorcruz185
      @vitorcruz185 Год назад +3

      Brazil suffers from a lot of violence, and robbery followed by death is the main crime here. But the way statistics are done confuses some people looking from the outside. I don't know how it works in other countries, but in our statistics, if a trans person dies in a robbery, he is included in the statistics of a murdered trans person. This, in a country with many robberies followed by death, ends up inflating these statistics, and people looking from the outside think that all this number is due to homophobic crimes, when in fact it is not. It is a statistic done in the wrong way, and it ends up giving the impression that Brazil is an extremely homophobic country. Many people also forget that the biggest LGBTQIA+ party in the world takes place in Brazil, precisely in São Paulo, a party that has already broken records, bringing together more than 4 million people on the largest avenue in the city on LGBTQIA+ pride day.

    Sideshow points out what imo is the most important issue with GC rn, the missing pipeline upwards. We need an incentive for good GC players to go to T2 and aim for ascension, otherwise no GC player is gonna move out of GC. It’d just be less viewers, less prize money, less exposure…

    I love Plat Chat and the reason that I'm stating doesn't make me less of a fan, or that I'm going to stop to watch the Channel, but makes me sad, as a Brazilian. You showed some atention and care about racism towards Brazilians before Lock In, and after that you said "Riot only chose Brazil because TL did well last year", Because at no time could pass through your mind that it could have been because the Brazilian fans put in a show in the entire Lock IN tournament or if Riot knew that people would come and watch the games and support the LGBTQIA+ community, the girls, everything, and at least is somewhat a lucrative for Riot, there is always an excuse for Brazil to be "favored", it's never about Brazilians own merit, it's always some other excuse as "Riot only chose Brazil because TL did well last year, idk", "Optic wasn't playing well in the finals like the rest of the tournament", "DRX didn't interact well with the crowd", "NRG started trolling and lost, that's why" doesn't sound all the time it has some type of excuse to demerit Brazil?
    "It's a little sad that we're going to a place that doesn't value the LGBT community." Damn brotha! What place REALLY values? Seeing the comments around Gamechangers, NO place is safe for LGBTs, it's not in NA, it's not in EMEA countries, it's not in Asia, it's not in Brazil. But at least here we have a STRONG and BIG inclusive community, which supports and protects itself from prejudiced attacks. It is an incredibly low and unintelligent argument to justify prejudice against OUR people in OUR country without further research, let me put a quote here so just you guys have an idea how big our community it is "The São Paulo Parade is considered the biggest LGBTQ+ party in the world. The city has received more than 4 million people for the celebration and has hosted numerous celebrities from around the world, including the cast of the series produced by Netflix, Sense8".
    No matter how much our region wins, no matter how much we put on a show in the stands how well our teams do in International Tournament, they're always going to think that NA with its mass shootings and public safety issues and EMEA with racism cases, sitting and clapping cheers are better than Brazil. It's always the same story... Really sad with these types of comments after you guys showed some support for Brazil, I really thought better of y'all, but it keeps being the same shit everyone says.
    @CanalDoBubissa, fiz suas palavras as minhas, obrigado.

      @@HaydenDom i honestly dont think it didnt age well i just also think ppl are really underrating OXG. Other than Randy their players are insane and theyre so good with all the out of game shit. Thats how they won against G2. They pretty much just had to make sure they won the vetos and they really did. They took advantage of the fact that G2s pool were quite small and they knew the ban would be pearl and the pick would be split. OXG ban Icebox which G2 are pretty cracked on and so all thats left is Lotus or Ascent both of which oxg are really good at. They also knew that with the players G2 had they would be a really weak lotus team considering the double controller requirement on it.
      They pretty much already won the game just off of vetos alone. G2 are a very adaptive team and when it comes to the newer maps they are hella hard to get into without having a ton of different executes and protocols. OXG were feeling their aim and they had all the strats and vetos ready, they just won at everything today.
