Bad reviews, but this movie was everything to me when I was younger, I remember collecting all the toys from McDonalds, I like the suits a lot even if it looked all rubbery.
It appealed to newer audiences, but as I watched the 1995 film, it didn't appeal to me. One thing I hated: the Megazord. It's only gonna be the Megazord not Dino Megazord. You want to try and fight an OG Power Ranger fan on this? Try me and I'll kick your butt out of the Morphing Grid.
I liked the 2017 but this one is most definitely the best one tho it’s a classic. The 2017 one is more like a super hero movie with actual powers it was cool but didn’t really scream power rangers I know to me so.
I loved that Tommy and Kimberly were in it together. 😍🥰🤩 and those are the only scenes I watched from the 2017 reboot because I couldn't get over the fact that they gave the new rangers the same exact names and colors yet they very clearly had completely different personalities, backgrounds, hobbies and interests and were just totally different characters altogether. So just give them different names as well; its no longer nostalgic to reboot iconic characters if they are nothing like their predecessors. That was a dumb move on their part.
Only good thing about the 2017 movie is having Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson in it. Wish they were part of the storyline than just a Cameo l. RIP Jason David Frank

I liked the way the suits had a single white diamond on the front, but I only just recently realised that they still had 2 diamonds on the back, which struck me as a bit odd.
You'll also notice that there are giant rats that the rangers are fighting. Originally, they were supposed to fight giant rats instead of ooze men but the rat costumes didn't work well and looked too low budget. Ooze was originally supposed to say, "So Zordon's still using a bunch of rug rats to do his dirty work. Speaking of rats.." he would turn some rats at the construction site into monsters for them to fight.
Through this, you'll notice that in the filming, Dulcea is being played by Mariska Hargitay(best known as Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU) instead of Gabrielle Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was the original choice but had to have an emergency operation before filming started so Hargitay replaced her. Dulcea was supposed to take them to her home which was a beautiful ninja temple with a garden and would train them in the ways of ninjette as you see her doing with Kimberly and Tommy. The rangers at first did not want to go through the training since they felt there wasn't time but Dulcea would warn them that if they go after the power without training, the power would destroy them. Dulcea perform routines such as what you see her do on that log with Kimberly watching and tell them to do the same. The rangers would be sloppy at first but get better as they progressed. Dulcea also had an aardvark-like friend/pet, who you'll notice is sitting next to Kimberly as she watches Dulcea balance on the log. However, after reviewing the film, the producers felt that Hargitay did not fit the role and Fitzpatrick got the role back after recovering from surgery. Unfortunately, there was no time to reshoot the training scenes and the existing footage could not be used because it all had Hargitay playing Dulcea so the rangers training sequence was deleted from the movie. Dulcea's aardvark friend was also taken out as he was deemed unnecessary, especially without the training footage. Also the set with Dulcea's home had been pretty much demolished by the time the producers decided to reshoot the Dulcea scenes so they used what was left of it and called it the ancient ruins of the ninjette temple. Also Catherine Sutherland(Kat, Kimberly's replacement later in the show) tried out for the role of Dulcea but was rejected because the directors felt that she was too young for the part.
This movie was perfect in the sense of it was the 90s and all kids including me loved it. Never listen to “professional movie critics” they’re a bunch of lazy clowns. The audiences loved it.
Lol in the 90s bro to bring a cam corder u have 2 suitcases then a bag to hold tapes took 30mins to unpack then the tape recorder maybe 30 mins before batt was dead lmao technology has advanced fast! Think about this there could still be few but maybe some people who in their life saw the horse and buggy to the automobile to now all that in 80 years honestly blows your mind if u stop and think about it’
The Phaedos scenes are my favorite part. I like Dulcea, her temple and the Great Power temple (especially the pyramid). The Great Power temple scares me a bit yet it's my favorite place. For Dulcea, I prefer Gabrielle Fitzpatrick to Mariska Hargitay. Mariska is not a bad actress, but I just think Dulcea is supposed to be fierce and Gabrielle's mean-looking face pulled it off. Dulcea is the most badass bitch and Gabrielle did a great job playing her.
So basically there were A LOT of cut scenes that didn't make it.. They should have released a unrated one.. Idek if I'm saying ut right but a version that has all the cut scenes In it

@@dbog5214 i saw they did like 30 or more takes for many scenes and did takes with different helmets or differnt visors on the helmets to where you could see their eyes. All kinds of stuff was shot. The amount of footage locked away has to be hundreds of hours worth
I really hope that for the films next major anniversary that they release the version of the film that had Mariska Hargitay as Dulcea, don't get me wrong i love the actress who we got in the final cut but i don't understand why they decided to switch back to her when Mariska was so far into filming, from what little i've found online the film was almost done when they brought Gabrielle Fiztpatrick back. (I'm seeing conflicting stories about the progress of the scenes she filmed so take what i say with a pinch of salt.) Basically it would be nice to see the film that could have been because the little i've learned about that cut of the film (if it exists of course) it added so much more to the narrative that might have helped the film do a bit better than it did. Idk i can dream i guess.
NatBat Cairns I agree we should be able to see those scenes that were cut but we probably won’t because I bet they were good and I am sure the scenes they took out were great too it should be on the dvd release blue ray but I think they already released it so doubt very much we will see what would have been of the film

But then there's times when it does and actually adds to the Film and is Benefitial and they dont release the Version which might actually be better. When they release Directors Cut or Extended Version, to buy separately, that's good,we get to see both Versions that way like the with The lord of the rings. But I noticed with Saving Private Ryan there's some Scenes missing and I'm not sure if they been released and kinda annoying because they look like good scenes and I wish they'd been left in. It's all taste I guess
Mariska revealed in a later interview part of the reason was Fox. Also she went home without permission for Christmas. And since the movie was shot in Australia, they felt pressured to cast someone from that country.
Just a dream, but I want an alternate universe version of the movie with the deleted scenes and the other Dulcea training stuff. It would be interesting to see how that could've turned out, and changed the movie.Give me all of the footage you've got. I don't care, I'll watch a 5 hour movie if I'm really into it. Look at LOTR, that trilogy is just a 9 hour movie. They filmed it like that too.

I love this movie even to this day and if you take away the special effects and wires for the unrealistic gymnastic stuff u can tell all the rangers are pretty good martial artists, especially Jason David frank
Amy Jo Johnson was probably my very first celebrity crush. The OG Power Rangers will always be the best in my opinion. And JDF will always be the best Ranger period. They need to actually make a (Good) new Power Ranger movie and have the OG cast be involved in more than just random people in the street. Well besides Trini as she passed away(RIP Thuy Trang).

The Rangers suits in the 1995 Big svreen film are 1,984% different from the original Super Sentai versions from Japan plus the Ninjazords (ChouNinjuu Mechas including the White Falcon mecha Tsubasamaru) are in CGI which is different from the 1994 Super Sentai TV Series "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger" not to mention the Zyuranger Dinobuckles. Tsubasamaru shoot pellets in the Japanese Series and it didn't shoot rockets from its forearm sections plus Kakure Dai Shogun is different from the 1994 Super Sentai TV Series, just to point that out.
Keep in mind this was made back in '94- 95. It would take 10-20 years for the film technology to improve both digital and practical. So always remember, It's an attempt. Attempt to do better.
wrong cgi production ..look a jumanji...thats great..and back to the future..if they choose right cgi production to make this movie ..it can be great...this movie is great but very dissapointed at final scene..very poor cgi like cartoon..hope they remake this film again..

you think thats bad check the CGI on the Original Tron or Labyrinth (1986)'s CGI Owl in the intro credits.

Tommy Oliver was the worst thing to ever happen to the Power Rangers, and Kimberly and Jason were the true ultimate pairing.
