      Yoyogi is such an attention hog. No one hears about the other big parks. This one is definitely worth a visit during nice weather if you're in the shinjukes area.

    Head over to Kanagawa, it's so close! I went to Enoshima and Kamakura twice and absolutely loved them to bits. And definitely take the Enoden train, the view of Sagami Bay as you ride it is stunning.

    • @HappyInJapan
      @HappyInJapan  8 лет назад

      Great recommendations! Thanks. What's in Enoshima that you'd suggest?

      +Happy In Japan Definitely the observation deck as you are viewing high up off an island, which makes an interesting viewpoint.
      The Iwaya cave is great too. At one end of one of it's tunnels you vould actually hear and fill the chill of an underground river system that is said to be linked all the way from Mount Fuji.
      I'd recommend going during summer though since the view is better and the beach has more people which give you more things to shoot.

    • @HappyInJapan

      +Happy In Japan not with a gun though!
      And stay past the evening if you can, Fuji when the sun is setting off the deck is awe-inspiring. And they have illumination round the island during summer too!

    AHHH perfect frames and bgm.. it's so difficult to choose from the three gardens. They all seem to be very pleasant to visit. Btw I hope you can see Toyama snow walls this winter and hopefully make a video about it more powers! thank you for sharing awesome videos!

    I vote for the English garden! I'll have to take a mental note of it when I study in Tokyo in case I get homesick, it really looks like some of the places here in the south of England.

      I don't know why, but I feel like if that movie were to have a name, "the garden of words" would actually be a pretty fitting one. I just randomly came up with it.

    I'd definitely love to see some nice videos of Kamakura, it's so close toTokyo, but I don't see it represented very often, but if your looking to see the countryside and you'd like to treat yourself, you should check out Iya Valley. The Iya Valley Onsen was an awesome experience. I stayed in the moon viewing room (there's only one and I recommend it over the other slightly cheaper rooms because it's big and it has a patio and a telescope included in the room). There's also quite a bit to see in Iya Valley nature-wise, a rope bridge, a few mountains and bike/boat tours of the area. You also get a huge very fancy traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast included for the price.

      Good point. I'll stick with Japanese for the fairies, but the benches in the French sycamore lanes are where I'd pick as my top spot in the park to have lunch.

      +Happy In Japan yep it's a river bus/cruise it makes for an awesome day basically I would suggest spending the morning in tsukiji market followed by a stroll around the gardens (with a nice drink of macha in the tea room at the centre of the lake) followed by a river cruise/!bus to asakusa where you can spend the afternoon exploring the area! Perfect day trip!

    Thanks for the vid, may I ask.... besides Shinjuku Gyoen, which park / garden also classified as the best one?I will go to Japan in August and looking for advice :)

    • @HappyInJapan
      @HappyInJapan  7 лет назад +2

      Uno S1gn personally I like Koishikawa Korakuen, it's also near the Bunkyo Civic Center which has a free observation deck that looks out at the skyscraper district of Shinjuku and on a clear day Fuji can be seen in the background.
      Otherwise, I recommend the Imperial Palace East Gardens and Hama Riku.
      Have a good trip!
