If y’all watched Mullet run before HED got him tuned up up on traction control, you would understand Pete’s expertise on the subject. Pete, thanks for sharing your expertise with us.
Great music to go with the video! Usually I will mute a video because of awful music, but doing stuff to do , is just too good! Oh, and the tech is amazing!
Thanks 👍 I would actually call this a "non crash" course since you kept the truck going down the track and not trying to visit the concession stand under the bleachers. 😁
It’s crazy how far the tech has come, seems years ago it was who ever could set up a car, now it’s who can tune their drive shaft curve, win races. Awesome content once again sir! Thank you!
I think Pete is the master of doing stuff real good! This was awesome to see what you guys are making adjustments to during all those up arrow sessions.
Definitely deserve the 100k subs X10. Hope to see you continue with the McFarland crew and help those guys understand the tuning capabilities that they have on the cars. This was a great video and look forward to many more. Making us NC guys proud as hell!!!!
I've enjoyed your content Pete. Working at going through your older content as a fairly new viewer of your channel. Wondering as a turner how much "license" are you given/do you take on advice and or proposed mechanical aspects of a combo? Perhaps each customer is unique. Maybe you could speak about this on a future video.
truck class gets treated like pro stock .. impressive work on gathering data for the profiler to work . i really enjoy all your content from tuning to engine work great channel
I love your intro music so much and I get you like making music. Question…what would you rather do, make music or tune race top tier race cars for a living?
Great information disclosure here Pete, thanks!! By the way, that "World's best software" at 16:55, Motec? Or Fueltech? I'm curious about the real world user experience between Holley and FT..?
Do you know anyone who still uses slew rate with a 7531? I'm anxious to learn about how to use it but can't really find much on it. Maybe because it's so old?
Is there a way to use the rate at which the nose is rising rather than simple ride height? Because you could do the math & determine from the first centimeters of movement. Acceleration, rate, mass of the car on the front axels. 4cm in, yep got 500 kilos moving upward at 1 m/s, even if I cut timing when it reaches X ride height, that momentum is going to carry the nose on up. So if you know the mass, acceleration & achieved speed you coukd target 0 upward velocity at a particular height. Or even a negative velocity (nose coming back down). It gets complicated with the motor producing more & more torque, but that is where experimentation comes in. If you have a good idea how much torque you'll be making (or just want to assume an arbitrarily high amount) then you could prevent the nose ever rising more than X amount.
That's the beauty of using the VPS that he said he'll do a video on soon. It is precisely calibrated and in combination with the Profiler/self learning it is so quick to respond that it is unbelievable
I spent HOURS on the phone with Shannon trying to get a Profiler to work on Kerry Hitt's TA1 road race car for the Duryea hillclimb. Never could get it to hook. Sparky agrred that we were doing everything right, he couldn't figure it out either. It wasn't worth pursuing for that one event every year...
Are most of cars not running traction control in radial ? Cause 60 percent of runs are aborted in 60ft . That truck you could hear tire start to spin and your traction control caught it and let it make a pass . Either you got the secret sauce to be only one to make it work or everyone else is missing the boat big time and need to give Davis a call . Radial would be more fan friendly if maybe only 20 percent of runs are aborted .
Very interesting to see the differences in the profiler setup and how fast you can actually regain traction. I don't think Garrett was even using the profiler for a big part of Mullets first outings.

I love videos on the profiler. Perfect to learn from an expert
You mean a computer is only as good as the info it's given. Imagine that. Great video. Thanks as always
Davis Technology is pretty damn slick stuf!!
Pete congrats on 100k, we need a long form version of your motivational intro song!
Thanks for the Breakdown Pete ,
It's much appreciated.
Congratulations on the 100k Subz 🥳
Much love from N.Z 🇳🇿
No problem. I was born in Christchurch.

Wow ..
Im in Dunedin. Lol.What a small world we live in ae .
love your content Pete .
Keep on keeping on
Lol look at Pete getting fancy with the editing using slow mo the last few videos.. keep it up sir doing good at stuff so far
I see why everyone is winning with this guy I could listen ro hom all day 😆
Cleter sent me. Love the theme song!
We need quiet a bit more of these Davis tuning videos and using it with Holley! This is great!
Check the backlog if you haven't, he has a number of great videos already
Great music to go with the video! Usually I will mute a video because of awful music, but doing stuff to do , is just too good! Oh, and the tech is amazing!
Hey Pete, I'm really enjoying your RUclips channel. Keep up the cool, informative videos. Watched you on Cleetus channel
Congrats brother!!!! On the 100k. You should be getting you 100k plaque from RUclips here soon.
Thanks 👍 I would actually call this a "non crash" course since you kept the truck going down the track and not trying to visit the concession stand under the bleachers. 😁
Goddamn genius
Pete, you're a legend. Wish you all the success in the world.
Thanks for the tech talk ! Great information
It’s crazy how far the tech has come, seems years ago it was who ever could set up a car, now it’s who can tune their drive shaft curve, win races. Awesome content once again sir! Thank you!
Whoa that is insane the profiler just sinks its claws into the racetrack
Never even knew that a profiler existed….cool tech.
Amazing technology, great explanation.
That profiler and the setup on engine management to control output of the engine just amazes me. Neato
Still say this feels like high school with Mr Pete…. I wish it’d been this cool
I think Pete is the master of doing stuff real good!
This was awesome to see what you guys are making adjustments to during all those up arrow sessions.
More videos in depth on traction control please!
Incredibly informative. Subscribed after first 10 min. Great job!
This info is priceless! Thanks Pete.
Definitely deserve the 100k subs X10. Hope to see you continue with the McFarland crew and help those guys understand the tuning capabilities that they have on the cars. This was a great video and look forward to many more. Making us NC guys proud as hell!!!!
Looking forward to your videos on the Davis self learning and VPS!
I CANT WAIT!!!!!
Best intro on youtube. Kepp up the good work.
Great information Pete!! Let's get some merch on the website!!
Hope this channel gets the moon tune! Any candidates for another series of polishing turds?
wow this is incredible stuff you're sharing, keep it up!
Congrats Pete on the subs
Only the start
Always nice running into you Pete. Nice job it was slime the entire weekend

That's amazing Pete. I love that software
Great video again. Feel like I should be paying you for this knowledge
Congratulations on your 100k subscribers
I’m real good at learnin’ stuff - thanx
Congratulations on 100k you deserve it
Lotta big time tuners are going to be pissed at you for this video. Awesome info even if it's way over my head . Lol
truck class gets treated like pro stock .. impressive work on gathering data for the profiler to work . i really enjoy all your content from tuning to engine work great channel
Congrats on 100k, I didn't know you were from NZ, pretty cool, thanks for all the tech breakdown, it's helping me be really good at doin stuff
Great video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Real Good Video 👍👊🇺🇸🤘
Thanks Pete!
Love this content. Thanks for posting.
Congratulation100k Pete
Hey Pete! Can you go through the different capabilities of each option of the Davis traction control devices?
Great content thanks for sharing
If you ever come to the airport in Berkeley springs I’d love for you to look at my profiler. Always want to have extra input on going faster.
Awesome info, I just got my fuel tech , haven’t installed yet, but trying to learn as much of this alien technology as possible
I CANT WAIT!
Always do stuff. Never stuff doo.
Congrats on 100K!! Loving the content you're putting out.
Cool Beans Pete !
Pete, we are all just Fluffers for Donald's baby RVW.
Grats on the subs!
Merch plug don’t forget the plug. Let’s make you some real money!!!!! Cool I got it at the end👍
Beautiful truck@
Got my bell rung!
I love your intro music so much and I get you like making music. Question…what would you rather do, make music or tune race top tier race cars for a living?
hell. yeah. brother.
You should talk Cleetus into entering Mullet in the truck class in the radial races at SGMP
Great video !
Interesting. I was sort of wondering how that there Profiler worked.
Hi Pete, if its possible and you have the time, could you post or a follow up video on what the rear suspension was doing on those runs?
Thanks for sharing, great vid.
I see these work by pulling timing, how does that affect the boost on a turbo car?
At the start it's not doing anything because the traction control can't read if there is no speed. It also can't fix no wheel speed. Brilliant advice
Pete you rock! Peace
Theme song is stuff of legends do!!!
How easy was the Profiler to set up on Jeff's Hemi truck with the Fuel Tech system?
great information.
Great information disclosure here Pete, thanks!! By the way, that "World's best software" at 16:55, Motec? Or Fueltech? I'm curious about the real world user experience between Holley and FT..?
Pete don't like fuel tech.
@@racecitypatriot66 I definitely sensed that, but he does seem to be warming up to it..... Maybe. Lol
👍👍👍
So is that Davis profiler good to use on no prep cars too
Very! the self learning he mentioned briefly from Davis Technologies is worth its weight in gold for no prep
Seen Davis on the starting line at a few npk races
Mullet sent me here !
Can we get some info on you're music background, would love a video about that one day if you ever get a chance or feel like it
He has said before on here he buys it at the Wal-Mart kiosk!
Good info
Need Pete tuning sleds, bikes and everything under the sun
No kidding they just stopped prepping the track for truck class That's crazy I hope someone raised some shit
For wheelie control could you do a advanced table and math channel to do a timing offset vs % of travel being used?
When you know a promod has traction control but still smokes the tires 😂🤷🏼♂️
Do you know anyone who still uses slew rate with a 7531? I'm anxious to learn about how to use it but can't really find much on it. Maybe because it's so old?

What are these strange units of weight and measure you speak of?

Evidently you are not real good at doin’ stuff. Profilers aren’t for road race cars any damn ways.
Keep up the no bullshit content ill be hear
Hey Pete you do any work on 2jz stuff?
Davis tracion control? Does the maximum truck has ir? With the holley or is just the holley?
Davis interfaces with holley it's it's own thing.
Just learning about boosted engine's would like your help with timing of a boosted SBC procharged 427ci.
32 tooth is the best for drive shaft resolution? The profiler is the shit. #inpetewetrustFJB

U should do a 351w polishing turds episode and raffle it off. 351w vs 350?
Awsome
Do you need that profiler if you run a fuel tech
You can get the Davis PFEFI and it will interact with your fueltech
Where in boost curve do you pull timing?
The strobe lights are a little hard to deal with
Very interesting to see the differences in the profiler setup and how fast you can actually regain traction. I don't think Garrett was even using the profiler for a big part of Mullets first outings.
Will this work on a nitrous car with a carb
