It’s because he’s talking all day on the in helmet communication, KJ stands there listening, the defense adjusts so he take some more and KJ stands there some more, and then the play clock winds down…. And all that for the same quarterback draw He needs to let KJ or Jacurri just lead and play
KJ was great in Arkansas but he’s just not clicking. You have backups for a reason, use em. Brown’s there for a reason. We’re 3-2, sucks but let’s change before we doom our season.
Sad thing is UCF had momentum to establish a brand with a high flying explosive offense and aggressive style of play but that momentum is all but gone now. UCF Football just seems to be on that “I’m just happy to be here vibe” with many of the fans being hypnotized by recruiting rankings, goofy social media posts and getting conned into donations to the KingdomNIL while Gus goes out on game day crapping the bed offering no solutions to improvement continuously either wasting or driving away talent.

This is not okay. Gus has been a great recruiter for UCF, but he is not retaining our best recruits, not getting marquee wins, and his teams are not getting better on the field. Where is the UCFast offense? Where is our explosive passing game? Where is our bend, but don’t break defense? And now where is our dominant rushing attack?

OK, let's face the reality. Something happened in the bye week. The team we've seen for the last 2 weeks in NOT the same one we saw in 1-3. WTF happened? As of this week, we have a QB who can't complete a pass - and everyone knows he's gonna run, when he runs. Wide receivers who seem surprised when a ball comes their way and seem to struggle getting separation (probably because they don't expect to catch, but block, so they stay close to their man). An O-line that is, at best, sporadic AF. A RB room who's keeping us viable in games despite facing stacked boxes nearly every play (because we can't throw a 10 yds slant for Pete's sake). And on the D! So much talent on the front 7 and we can't get a sack, or even tickle the QB. Maybe the straight up, lane control is too easy to block (seriously!). Or, the fact that our folks can't get off a block in under 30 minutes (yep, hyperbole, but that's what really it feels like). The secondary cant cover a tree stump (could well be the gaps at snap. Giving 5-8 yards cushion seems kinda stupid on short yardage, I do not get the lack of tight man, bump and cover, seems like a total lack. AND if we are, WTF is teaching technique!??? F). OK, sorry for the vent folks. This is all correctable, but you have to be able to accept the fact that you F'd up, admit it, and change it. I'm dubious that this current staff can do that. I truly hope they do. I really, really do.
