@@reverendbluejeans1748 There are lots of different games and experiences available on the Quest, and some have multiple mini games within them, but in my opinion none are as good at this one. Had this game for about a year and a half, and it literally never occurred to me that the angle change after hitting a wall was spin simulation, I genuinely just thought it was the physics being janky. That should help me a lot in future :P
It's a big help when figuring out angles. And to build on what's said in the video, it's not even that the spin is skidding on the ground much, it's more to do with small bounces the ball takes after a wall collision, in case that helps your approach to shots at all
Thanks for the great tips. Really helped out my game. Went from +7 to -3 from watching your video. One dumb question though, how do you exit the game in middle of a round, or from the main menu ? What am I missing ? Thanks

Any tips on how to keep your neck from getting sore? Played yesterday and today my neck is killing me from looking down for so long with the extra weight of the VR.
Great question, I’ve actually suffered neck injury from VR. One thing I’d recommend is keep making sure you’re not leaning your head forward while looking down. @@InnerPrincessVR easily I'm sure. Maybe I should wait for procedurally generated courses and a lucky streak if I want to win, but I am happy to get my ass handed to me in this game. It's fun either way.
This is a great video for how to improve one's Walkabout game. It's also indicative of why I'm not a gamer and probably only have played Walkabout 3 times, even though I like the game and concept. I guess I'm just too old a geezer to make the transition from physical reality - tactile experience to have the patience (interest) in needing to learn to replicate that via settings and controllers. I don't want to go through settings, or levels. I just want to play. I've had the same experience with VR Fishing and Xbox racing. I don't want a new learning curve... I just wanna play.
That’s understandable. I have a similar impatience, which is why I wanted to help people spend the time getting the settings right once (and using an intuitive approach to angle and power where possible) and then you’ll hopefully not ever have to adjust again. I’m keen to try an adaptor to recreate the weight of a real putter, even though there still won’t be the inertial resistance when hitting the ball

Do you know how to take a short break without getting kicked out of the game (with multiple players)? The exit options hint at being able to do so but it never works properly.
Another tip is when you start a new hole, hold your club up in the air. The amount of times i have accidentally hit the ball letting the club trail on the floor whilst looking around is stupid.
It sounds like something is blocking the tracking ring on your controller. This sometime happens when you use two controllers instead of one. If you've been looking away at your controller for a long time, make sure to move it a little once you're looking back at it so the tracking is reactivated (assuming you're on Oculus)
