I really love President Electronics. I have the President MCKinley 2 EU version which you can modify as an export version. You can NOT modify the MCKinley II FCC, only the eu version MCKinley II but when you do that you go over to the darkside. It is really a great radio compact small and with a lot of functions. I have been itching for an AM / FM / SSB with WX since i saw that the FCC approved FM. My 4x4 club requires CB Radio, and my most current radio is a Realistic TRC-465 AM / SSB I bought brand new 30 years ago... Been a bomb proof radio but it was way past time to upgrade...
I like this radio. was wondering when they would come out with AM-FM SSB radio. the only thing I don't think CB needs is the weather. most like it I don't. good review of this.
I really appreciate the weather channels and especially the weather alert function. It can save your life in severe weather conditions. I was able to seek shelter during advancing tornado conditions because ot the alert function. I wouldn’t be without it. Why would you not want potential life-saving information?
I wish they would make some updated base stations too.

There are 2 diff President Mckinnley II. Whats the diff? One is about $220.00 and the other is about $320.00
