oh wow, I love LOVE how you use this song so PERFECTLY to show Claire's journey of her loves as the show goes on, how at first it relates to Frank being the other love but then it ending with Jamie being the other love to Frank, just a brilliant way to use this song to show her story!

this song actually fits better to her story with Frank, when she came back to 20th century, even from the start. at the beginning she was content in a decent marriage but was still longing for something (the vase scene, being intrigued not upset of what fortune teller said) she couldn’t then describe. and after her first journey when she travelled back to her times all her heart, tears etc. had already been used up for Jamie. she never moved on from him and couldn’t be with Frank anymore
