Thanks for this video. This comprehensive list offers valuable considerations for critiquing an app. While it may seem overwhelming to remember every aspect during an interview, practicing with this list can help internalize the key points. Even if one only touch on a few aspects within each category, it's a significant step forward. Over time, it becomes natural, and any mention of these facets during an interview would be a notable achievement.
Thank you! I actually highly not recommend anyone to memorize any of those aspects because the hiring managers can tell and it won't serve anyone well. App critiques are meant to be a skill designers possess, and my worksheet is just a framework to get designers started to practice and eventually "get it", so you are very on point that over time it should become natural!
This is super helpful. Thanks for sharing this! The most helpful videos for me are the PM ones, I prepared for 2 PM interviews following the list of questions and passed them :))
Your advice has been incredibly helpful for me. I've heard about basic elements like use cases, accessibility, and IA. But in your video, I learned about scalability, icon resemblance, special interface gestures, animations, and whether they're beneficial for users. Other tips mentioned were also valuable, even if I had heard of them before. It would also be cool if there's a way to access or download the list you mentioned in the video. Thanks again for your work, really appreciate it.

You "can" bring it if you want, but I never recommend reading over a pre-scripted materials because it feels unnatural and the hiring team will sense that. I won't say memorize it either, as my whole intent and purpose is to let people know what should/can be involved in an app critique so they can get used to those formats and structures as they approach it without any aids or notes. Ultimately, this should be innate to designers, something they just know, not some sort of tests and quizzes. Does that help?
I would love the worksheet to prep for interviews! Thank you!! ☺️

Hi Justeen, are designers allowed to bring these guides into interviews as notes or do you need to memorize this?
