It doesn't seem you understand what the Metaverse is. It's not a world where everyone is locked in VR consoles all the time like you stated. People still need to be in the physical world interacting with real people. Which is where augmented reality comes in. Where your real world experience is enhanced and communication bridges distance like never before. That's also the Metaverse

I’ve been watching kids become less and less personally sociable for years, spending so much time on screens that they don’t even know how to converse with others in person, or understand body language or just chill with someone without a digital interaction. Seeing kids enjoying nature is almost a rarity these days. And yes, both types exist but the kind seem less visible

In your generation, you spent most time outside, getting a few scars, sunshine...in the future, your kids will be playing with other kids 1k km away, as if they were right there. Most tech was met with skepticism. The internet, crypto currency, now the Metaverse. I can't say it's perfect, but it will impact alot of lives positively too

Zuckerberg is a G. For business guru or straight up genius. This announcement positions his company in a prime place to capture the audience of the next generation. My 10 year old son already spends hours talking to friends on wats app group chat while playing roblox. If meta combines gaming and other interactive activities to the platform they will definitely experience a boom. The negative feedback they are experiencing now is just the old generation not willing to accept that privacy is not an important virtue as it once was.

We are moving to a transparent society, where data is king. We all have 2 choices Either enjoy the ride in a self driving car or cry because there are no lanes for your horse buggy. I don’t think it’s creepy. As stated it’s not a new idea. It will be interesting to see how useful and fun it is. I got a vr headset a few years ago and it was cool for a week then not so much. Will companies need this for meetings? It’s an interesting idea but might not give more to the experience that simple video conferring does.
No true. That report about Instagram with teenagers fails to report that double the amount feel better about themselves when using the platform. The press just attacks them all the time. These platforms bring A LOT of value to society. If Facebook is so big is because people find a lot of value in their services, which are FREE by the way. They just suck at communicating and their CEO looks like a killer robot.
The only true dangerous company is governement. They have an army, forced monoplies everywhere and Facebook is a little fly, compared to the power of politicians and the State. We should be worried about them that push these narratives for us to let us add more regulations.
Yes because they are addicted with psychological addictive methods hidden in the apps.. receiving doses of dopamine without doing any effort, then when they want to interact with real society they just can't
@@santiagopuentep I use app when i need to so i used it as a tool, however i don't even like the idea of adapting i don't want to adapt to what companies want or do. If they use those methods to bring people to their apps then that can't be totally good
