Di, I didnot receive iim c call also (98.86%). You asked my academic category, yes i am an engineer. I had some hopes for iim c, as it only considers cat score, 10th, 12th and gender diversity for its initial shortlisting. According to the criteria table given, i had full points for 10,12 and gender. Someone i know(female), had 99.03 % and 84.6 marks, she got a call. I am 3 marks behind, 81.7 marks. Maybe the cut off score lied between this. Cannot help feeling dejected...one more qs correct and.. I live in kolkata so i dreamt of iim c the most..it hurts more thats why :(

Hello mam, So I am starting my preparation for CAT 2023 and sometime it scares me that what will happen if I did not get my dream college and also as I have checked the fees of the coaching for all the exams is approx. 50 thousand and what will happen if I fail. Also I am not able to decide which coaching to choose even though I have asked many of my friends, everyone recommends me a different coaching institute😭😭
I know the video is sponsored but I wished you spoke of the MBA program of IIT Kanpur in the mix too, the ROI is even higher at IIT Kanpur, while the mean package is the same for both the the colleges at 16.7 LPA with the fees being far more affordable than IIT Roorkee and almost every other IIT / IIM at just around 3.5 lakhs for the whole program, it would be a better investment even considering other factors like the huge campus of IIT Kanpur and many other factors.
I am also planning to apply for MBA in IITs as they have better ROI. I have heard that in IITs, you are not only working with your batchmates but you get the chance to be part of institute level event where you will working with engineers as well researchers and the startup culture there is much better than any B-school. Right now I’m weighing my option between Kanpur and Roorkee but heard Kanpur is going to increase their fee. I’m also not sure about my interest and the guy in the video said you can have 3 specialisation so it could help in future if my interest chances. Let's hope I convert it! 🤞

But i havent got any call till now. a/lucknow/indore none. :( I want to start gdpi prep but feeling bit demotivated. Is this 12th percentage (84.4% in cbse) lowering the composite score?
You should be proud of yourself irrespective of the calls. What's your academic category? Add a new comment with the answer, that will make things clearer. It's harder for engineers to get a call at this percentile. Be rest assured you'll get a good college this year!

But I'm not sure whether I'm eligible for getting admission in IIMs or not. Thank you for the kind words 😊 Since you're a diversity candidate, you can get a call from BLACKI if you score that much or even lower in CAT but aim for higher. Also, maintain your GPA in college. I'm unsure about A because it has an eligibility criteria that says your average of 10th & 12th should be more than 75% if you're an Arts student - but it also gives call to the top students basis graduation streams, so make sure to score well in CAT & grad and you will still stand a chance.

It's not necessary, MBA helps with business understanding but more importantly network. So, if you can build a strong network, gain skills - it will not be needed.

I know the video is sponsored but I wished you spoke of the MBA program of IIT Kanpur in the mix too, the ROI is even higher at IIT Kanpur, while the mean package is the same for both the the colleges at 16.7 LPA with the fees being far more affordable than IIT Roorkee and almost every other IIT / IIM at just around 3.5 lakhs for the whole program, it would be a better investment even considering other factors like the huge campus of IIT Kanpur and many other factors.
It surely is, most of the IITs offer an excellent ROI but this video, as you rightly said, is to spread awareness about IIT Roorkee's MBA
I am also planning to apply for MBA in IITs as they have better ROI. I have heard that in IITs, you are not only working with your batchmates but you get the chance to be part of institute level event where you will working with engineers as well researchers and the startup culture there is much better than any B-school.
Right now I’m weighing my option between Kanpur and Roorkee but heard Kanpur is going to increase their fee.
I’m also not sure about my interest and the guy in the video said you can have 3 specialisation so it could help in future if my interest chances.

As far as you have that much amount of knowledge... No IIT will be doing anything.. the gates will be open at every IITs

Hi di... I am a bit sad over the last few days. I commented on instagram, i got 98.86 percentile. By self study and along with work, i was happy getting this. I had 9/8/9 acads. But i havent got any call till now. a/lucknow/indore none. :( I want to start gdpi prep but feeling bit demotivated. Is this 12th percentage (84.4% in cbse) lowering the composite score?
You should be proud of yourself irrespective of the calls. What's your academic category? Add a new comment with the answer, that will make things clearer. It's harder for engineers to get a call at this percentile. Be rest assured you'll get a good college this year!

I am a second year Bachelor of Arts student from Banaras Hindu University. I am looking forward to get admission in B-school (MBA). But I'm not sure whether I'm eligible for getting admission in IIMs or not. My academic profile is also not very convincing as I completed my 10+2 (with 85% marks in commerce stream) in 2019 and then I dropped 2 years for preparing for CLAT (also due to Covid I couldn't get admission in any colleges).
I would appreciate if you could give me some advice regarding the same.

Ma'am, may I please ask you something.. I gave CAT 2022 but lost in one section by 2 marks.. I didn't get any calls.. I'm thinking to take a drop... I'll start with a job also and will have an experience of 5-6 months till Dec'23. Though my profile is not good either (10th-65%, 12th-75% Arts, Grad-exams not held yet). I'm doing B.A. currently. Ma'am, if I manage to score above 99.5 %ile in CAT'23, are there any, any chances of me getting into IIM ABC? I've a good non academic profile though. I've completely lost hope and my final decision will be totally dependent on your answer. You're the only ray of hope I have. Are there any chances of ABC or BLACKI? Please tell me if there are. Thank you for the kind words 😊 Since you're a diversity candidate, you can get a call from BLACKI if you score that much or even lower in CAT but aim for higher. Also, maintain your GPA in college. I'm unsure about A because it has an eligibility criteria that says your average of 10th & 12th should be more than 75% if you're an Arts student - but it also gives call to the top students basis graduation streams, so make sure to score well in CAT & grad and you will still stand a chance.

It's not necessary, MBA helps with business understanding but more importantly network. So, if you can build a strong network, gain skills - it will not be needed.

There's nothing like that, having said that, older IIMs are better than IITs. But many IITs are better than newer IIMs.

Sure, for Gen it's 90+, for OBC it's 80+ for SC/ST it's 73+ and there are no sectional cutoffs.
