Hi, I find that sweetened condensed milk makes a dense cake, even using cake flour. For me, the Kerry Gold butter is more flavorful than other butters. Try brown eggs too, that and the European butter takes pound cake to the next level. Happy Baking!
LOOKS EXTREMELY DELICIOUS DONNA, BLESSINGS TO YOU GUYS , DUDE#1 FUNNY, HE GOES IN GET THE MIC, LOL, PREACHING TODAY,, ABOUT THE CAKES HA PASTOR, THEN, HE LEAVES,,LOL FUNNY❤❤❤❤
😂 Mr Dude #1.... I see the battle on your face looking at that extra piece of cake. I'm a fat kid too 😂😂❤ Kerrygold is a luxury. You should try Kerrygold in the 7up cream cheese cake and compare.
The Kerri Gold butter is just oilier it has more oil the other Butters have been mixed with water! The kerrygold butter has a stronger butter flavor than the other Butters that have been mixed with water. You can melt the other butters in the microwave and you can see the oil separate from the water.
I LOVE that microphone! Can’t say “Wash those nasty hands” enough! The number one way to keep germs from spreading. Not only in the kitchen, but anywhere. Thanks always for the reminder. You’re doing people a favor by the constant reminder!😊💕
STOP!!!!! I can't take you licking your fingers then putting that same hand in the center to hold the slice while you cut it. This cake is going to his coworkers. I feel you are never too perfect to learn. Just practice what you preach. Your RUclips family is watching everything you do. Remember, don't be in the kitchen with nasty hands 'cause that's just NASTY! ❤🤗😊
I didn’t see her touching any of the UNCUT cake. Only the slices she and Dude #1 were going to eat. I don’t feel she touched any of the remaining cake. I’ve watched Donna for a long time and she always practices clean food prep and hygiene in her kitchen.@@nanaboo1022
That "same hand" hand I put in the center of the cake to hold the slice while I cut it was a slice for me and my husband and wasn't being cut for any of his "coworkers". Oh and trust me, I know errrrrbody watching, and some folk watching and REACHING!💚
@@BeautifulTooCreationsWithDonnaMrs Donna before you said it some people use it on toast! I have been doing that for years let me tell you it takes your toast to a whole different level. A few weeks ago I had only Land O'Lakes butter and I didn't have any kerrygold let me tell you I had so much of that butter on my toast let me tell you I could not taste any butter. Kerrie Gold has a stronger butter flavor, I make sure I put it in my icing the kerrygold butter is stronger flavor so I love to put it in my icing. And I also always use Kerry gold and Land O Lakes butter together in my cakes, now I do use more of Land O'Lakes it only takes a little bit of the kerri gold because it has a stronger butter flavor and it is more oily than our American butter is mixed with water, but personally I like that our butter is mixed with water because it makes your cakes, cookies and icings creamy and fluffy without being oily! Mrs Donna I don't know if you have noticed, I have been using Land O Lakes for 20 years at least and I've noticed recently that I cannot even smell it not near the way I used to, I used to could smell it from the box and smell it through the wrappers, and like I said I put it on some toast recently and I could not even taste the butter flavor I think probably because I'm use to using the kerrygold on my toast. Well I said all that to say they're doing something different to the Land O'Lakes butter maybe more water because it definitely does not smell and taste like it used to which is absolutely a shame to me because that probably means you'll have to use more butter in your recipes. I recently tried this butter when I was in the grocery store because yes I did smell the Box because I knew about the Land O'Lakes recently. Now I did not put the Box on my nose I just sniffed the Box. Tillanmook I could smell the butter from the Box! So I will be using the Tillanmook brand.❤ if anyone read this comment thank you I know it was long!
Get off your soap box. Look at the videos. Nobody is reaching. It's right on camera in all your videos. We all like to taste our food for approval, but I'm just saying licking the fingers is just not sanitary. I notice when you get constructive criticism, you get defensive. Again nobody's perfect. Just take it in and improve. I love your channel and can relate to your passion for cooking. But what I won't do is agree with errrrthing you do and say. That's not reaching. It's just being honest. So no need to clap back Ms. Donna....it's all in love.
Hi Donna, I have been using Kerry gold butter for years. Yes, you can tell the difference, the cake tastes delicious. Your husband will love anything you make for him. The cake looks scrumptious. Please enjoy.
There is definitely a difference! The cream and butter in Ireland is amazing. I visited Ireland this past August and cream and butter was always on the table. Their teas are awesome with the fresh cream, oh my!! There is no comparison to what we purchase in the stores in the US. I'm not saying fresh cream from a dairy farm here couldn't compare but over there it is the norm wherever you go. Their animals are free range and grass fed so the food over there was amazing!
I have grown to love kerrygold butter. I think to honestly compare the two cakes maybe you should have made the 7up pound cake with it to really tell if it was a difference. Love you guys❤ your cake always look delicious
Looks delicious. I have never bought Kerry Gold butter but I will try it. I would like to see a more true comparison by making the 7-Up Cream Cheese pound cake using the Kerry Gold butter.❤ ALL your cakes look amazing!!!🥰
This butter is great, I bought it for Easter Christmas on any special occasion. Also, I use pasture free eggs. Ladies, you will fall in love with the taste. Not to mention the color of the yolk! It is beautiful, like an orane sunset. I made one regualr sunny side up egg and one pasture free egg, and I felt that I had been missing out eating regular eggs. I just felt better when I ate the pasture free egg. Also, you can get eggs cheaper at Aldi, and they have butter in a green wrapper, its irish butter, and delicious. Great finds at Aldi and cheaper. Happy baking!
Hello Ms. Donna, I love making pound cakes...and I've learned a lot from you and keep getting compliments on them. I always use Land O Lakes, but I am interested and excited in seeing your cake when it is done and with the Keri Gold butter.
I literally made 2 cakes with this butter!!! The Strawberry Pound Cake I made today with the Kerry butter turned out AMAZING and my homemade yellow cake as well!!
Mrs Donna, you should try the 7up cream cheese pound cake with the Kerry Gold. The Kerry Gold gives a richer taste. Then you will be able to tell the difference. I think the recipe you used made a little difference . Because Kerry Gold has more butterfat, I often use 1/4 less than the recipe calls for so it won't be too buttery.
You said what I was hoping, which is it’s not worth paying $11.00 for. I would’ve had to try it. So I’ll be sticking to my land o lakes, and great value. Thank you for sharing this!
Ms Donna, I have to be honest, I bake a lot and this is the first time I’ve heard of this butter. I will give it a try. Love your videos❤ thanks for sharing your knowledge on baking. I have learned a lot by watching you bake.
Hello Miss Donna and Dude # 1 yes Kerry Gold does make a difference to me in the cakes I make I love it so much it’s the only butter I use I purchase it at Sam’s club or Costco
Hi Ms. Donna I while I wash my hands while in the kitchen, because of your reminder about wash our cans, I am making sure I wash my cans. I agree say it loud for the folks in the back and the cheap seats. 😊❤❤❤
Yeah , that was oily than your normal cakes, I will not use Kerry gold , only in my corn bread, I used it only. I will stick with the regular butter instead. I agree with your opinion 🤗
Mrs Donna, my mother came over 👳🏾♀️to watch your recent content of you decorating your home away from home.. I love Kerry gold for basic baking. I love the unsalted version that you are using. If you are baking butter cookies or plain pound cake it is awesome! However, if you are adding cream cheese, condensed milk, seven up or other stuff, don't waste your money, any butter will work.
Hey, Miss Donna… I use Kerry Gold all the time and I like it. I normally use it for baking…biscuits, cakes, pie crust., etc… but I also made your 7-Up cake and I used it and it was amazing. Also have you thought maybe it’s the sweeten condensed milk this is my first time seeing you use that in a poundcake but maybe I’m wrong maybe I’ll need to look back…but very good. Thanks for sharing. Peace & Blessings…
Hello Mrs. Donna, I bake cakes and I believe I'm going to make your 7UP Pound Cake. I love watching your Channel and we also watch the replay of your Church Service every week after we come in from our Church Service. I love you both and your loving personalities. Have a blessed day. ❤
I first used this butter with scrambled eggs and tasted the difference immediately. I have, so far, only bought it for eggs but will try it with a cake.
I only use kerry gold butter ( my husband calls it liquid gold) we use it for cooking our steaks, potatoes and anything we want richer in taste. I LOVE using the garlic butter. Mrs. Donna i hope i done have to buy 4 sticks of unsalted just to try this cake out😂😂😂. Kerrygold lasts me a long time for seasoning my foods, I would hate to fall in love with it baking cakes. My Aldi store sells kerrygold but it's not much cheaper there either. I love that rich yellow coming from grass fed cows❤
I made my second Mother Johnnie Ruth Irving Pound Cake with the 82% milk fat butter and it was even more delicious in terms of butter flavor! It was taller too; almost leaked over my baking pan. I was glad to make the comparison so I can know what butter to use in the future. Thank you for the informative video.
I bought the expensive Kerry gold butter and my cake was so dry that I threw it away. I will ALWAYS use my tried and true land o lakes, it never fails.
Agreed.. I would always use Kerrygold and had a crummier DENSE dry cake. Changed my butter (to tillamook) and instantly had lighter, fluffier, moist cakes. Kerrygold is too rich for pound cakes in my opinion and changes the cake crumb.
I heard it was good as well but in Ny there was a call back on it so I didn't bother with it after that..its a richer cake but could be also the condensed milk
Hi Lady Donna! I love watching your videos.❤ You speak to the experimenter in me😅 I have been experimenting in the kitchen since I was a child. I love cooking and baking, but the best part is getting to enjoy it afterwards.😊 I am writing today to share that I think you used too much butter in the recipe the reason it was so oily. The Irish butter is so much richer and you don't need as much as regular butter. You should try it again using only 3 sticks of butter but still using 4 cups of cake flour, and try cream cheese instead of the condensed milk. I hope this helps and you'll give it another go. Happy Baking 🙂❤️🌻
Ms. Donna, the cake texture looks more dense. I like Dude #1's analogy. He explained it best with his comparison of the Potato Bread to it's texture to regular bread.
The cake looks more dense but the taste probably seems richer. I'm not a cake maker but definitely enjoy your content--especially when your number one comes in. I could see in his facial expression that he could detect a slight difference in the taste of the cake even though you've made this cake recipe before with the exception of the butter. Keep up the wonderful content!!
Miss Donna, it’s like the cake is creamy. I save my Kerry’s Gold on my mash potatoes and toast and if I don’t pay attention 2 pieces of toast can turn into 8 pieces.
Hey Y'all thanks for sharing another butter pound cake with us. Ms. Donna try using the Kerry Gold butter (2 or 3 sticks) in your next 7Up Cream Cheese Pound Cake to really tell if it takes cakes to the next level. I'll be waiting to see....😊Blessing to you Both💯
Hi blessed woman of God Mrs.Donna and blessed man of God Dude #1 I use Kerry Gold butter It is more yellow I still buy other butters, but Prefer Kerry Gold I have some in the refrigerator now, I'm glad you're trying it ❤️🙏❤️
Kerrigold butter is the ultimate game changer...it takes any food to the next level...especially in cooking food and not desserts. brown eggs are also the game changer for better tasting food...it the the condensed milk that you added that is making that cake densed and not the butter.
It's the condensed milk that's changing the texture and you can't really compare it to the the 7up Cream cheese cake because the ingredients are different try making it again in a more plain butter pound cake what I want to know is Is the butter Flavor different than the other butter you use?
Maybe the 7up cake w/Kerry gold. That condensed milk is condense. I was waiting for you to say you would do that. Hey Donna!!! It has been a while since I've watch. So good to see yall!!!
Mrs Donna on the M-I-C, lol. Kerrygold is expensive and anything from a cow should be grass-fed and organic, but a great equivalent is the Kirkland Grass-fed butter at Costco, double the amount for less than $10🫶
Kerrygold is so good I can eat it plain. Yes, it’s good enough to eat. If you have any doubt how good it is, cut a pat od regular butter and have a taste test. Kerrygold has a very delicate almost honeysuckle background flavor. They sell it t Costco at much better prices than the grocery store. Also, it’s made with grass-fed cows, so it’s healthy.
Thank you Donna. I would be interested to know if you tasted that beautiful batter??? You might have noticed a richer butter flavor. Regards from France
Great looking cake Mrs Donna and Hubby said you never said it was ok when he dropped cake on the floor! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I tell ya I love watching you guys Vlogs all of the them! Keep them coming
Hi, I find that sweetened condensed milk makes a dense cake, even using cake flour. For me, the Kerry Gold butter is more flavorful than other butters. Try brown eggs too, that and the European butter takes pound cake to the next level. Happy Baking!
I agree with you. Irish butter and the expensive French or Italian butter will have you swooning.

Kerry Gold is a game changer when baking cakes. I stock up on it around St. Patrick's Day it usually goes on sales then.
I've only used Kerry Gold once, in some White Lima Beans.
They were delicious.
I don't know if it was the Butter or the Honey Baked Ham Bone 😂

TFS…foreign butter has more butterfat and adds the most richness. 🤤🤤🤤 when Publix or Winn Dixie (I live in Fl) has a BOGO I stock up!!!
Are there any particular European brands that you suggest?
@@msaerosoul1861 I buy Plugra and Kerrygold …try them ☺️

Danish Creamery is also another good butter to try. I only buy when on sale as well.
100% agree. Almost a week later, and my cake is still moist and delicious. This was an intentional test to see how long it would stay fresh.
Thanks for going so in depth with your comparison…you were a lot of help as I do have a pound cake business. 😊

Good evening, Mrs. Donna and Dude #1 I use Kerry Gold butter to me it gives the cake a rich texture. As always the cake looks delicious.❤❤❤
I've never baked with it but the taste is top tier. Especially in grits on toast & the like.
Love salted Kerrigold on my toast, and bagels, and pancakes!
Love the way you bake cakes keep up the good work..I will try that one.❤

Looks good Mrs Donna, blessing to you and your family, God keep you.and your family
I have been using the butter vanilla for over 30 years and they have a whole line of flavoring that are really good.
That’s why I like Kerry gold butter I love the golden yellow color makes the cake look like a real yellow old fashioned pound cake.

Tell it like it is, Mrs. Donna. It is what it is, expensive. I use Blue Bonnet or whatever I have. It's just as good as the expensive one. God bless 😊
Love a good crunch to a pound cake when U cut into it.

It looks smoother and creamier
That was my thought as well. I wonder what it would be like if you used milk or 7up vs the thick condensed milk
The mouth feel is amazing. It melts in your mouth.

Hey Donna, I Google searched for the old cake pan, and it was a successful search!! Thanks again for the name on the pan
Magic Line is local here. I love the creme bouquet and butter vanilla. That brand give that bakery taste.
I first used this butter with scrambled eggs and tasted the difference immediately. I have, so far, only bought it for eggs but will try it with a cake.
It makes your cake have a rich flavor.i use salted Kerry Gold mostly

I also tried this Irish butter to see what the hype was about and I agree with you it's okay.
Ms. Donna, I’ve never tried Kerry Gold butter but I might give it a try. The cake looks tasty! ❤️
Mrs. Donna and Dude #1:
Hi! It looks very good and very delicious and very very moist!
I tried the 7 up cream cheese pound cake was The Best Cake I have ever ate. Thank you for the recipe.❤

I'm going to start buying kerry Gold Butter!! Thanks for sharing
I agree with you, the crumb looks different in the picture. It looks more moist.
Donna! I love Kerry Gold Butter for baking cake
The inside of the cake is so smooth and looks soft
Hi Ms Donna, how're you and Dude#1 today? Thanks for sharing this recipe with us 😊
Ms. Donna, the cake texture looks more dense. I like Dude #1's analogy. He explained it best with his comparison of the Potato Bread to it's texture to regular bread.
Try the KerriGold next time you make a 7up Cream cheese cake, then youll really be able to see the difference 😊
Totally agree!!!😊❤
I agree you should do it with the 7up cream cheese cake.
The cake looks more dense but the taste probably seems richer. I'm not a cake maker but definitely enjoy your content--especially when your number one comes in. Hey Y'all thanks for sharing another butter pound cake with us. Ms. Donna try using the Kerry Gold butter (2 or 3 sticks) in your next 7Up Cream Cheese Pound Cake to really tell if it takes cakes to the next level. I'll be waiting to see....😊Blessing to you Both💯
Hey Mrs Donna and dude number one that cake look delicious
Hi blessed woman of God Mrs.Donna and blessed man of God Dude #1

❤️🙏❤️
I already know its going to nake a difference i baked cookies with it! Love that stuff!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I saw the difference right away. Makes your cakes with a silky texture.
Maybe the 7up cake w/Kerry gold. That condensed milk is condense. I was waiting for you to say you would do that. Hey Donna!!! It has been a while since I've watch. So good to see yall!!!
It's been a while for me to.
Mrs Donna on the M-I-C, lol. Kerrygold is expensive and anything from a cow should be grass-fed and organic, but a great equivalent is the Kirkland Grass-fed butter at Costco, double the amount for less than $10🫶
Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate your content as always. Love y'all bye 👋 👋❤❤
Kerrygold is soooo good! And yes, you have to try the salted too!!! Love it!!!!! I am on carnivore diet now and eat some almost everyday.
Land o Lake has a European butter and an extra creamy butter as well
Hi family. Thank you for the review!
Mrs. Donna I like using Hotel bar butter.
Mrs.donna tell me how to use cake mix for pound cake
I think when you put up the piece n mashed it with fingers explained the texture... I use Kerrygold all the time n if not then Anchor butter...
Thank you Donna. I would be interested to know if you tasted that beautiful batter??? You might have noticed a richer butter flavor. Regards from France
