To the haters questioning my man EddBud…i was on the fence when wanting to buy the Nike Tempo Next%. Edd’s 100 mile review was spot on. I ended up taking his advice and bought the shoes…No regrets
Ed you are first class in shoes and music. Vaporfly 2 was quicker but v3 still a class act. Vomero a diesel locomotive but a comfortable one. As a weightlifter not just a runner, must acknowledge Metcon Free lineup, inexpensive and so comfortable in the gym.
Agree completely with the Pegasus 5. Fantastic shoe. The zoom fly 6 is going to be my next purchase in the spring when the weather improves. I just find it crazy how many shoes Nike have in their line up. Why not just stream line it and attack say 4 price points and just do them all really well. Just seems like overkill.
It sells for US$180 but shortly after they reduced the price of launch colorway (light gray with orange strap) for $130 briefly. At $130 it was worth it.
The streakfly is one of my favorite training shoes. I do a lot of speed work on the track because I am a middle distance runner, I use them for every workout session
Great vid. Also love the latest Pegasus Trail. Great cushion and fit, feels like I can run forever without legs getting sore, even on the roads. Tame Impala also a great shout
Dankeschön! Too many models, but only few of them are really good (same like Adidas, too many models)😅😇 Nike was my first choice, now it´s more the Asics line up. Have a good week
Great video. Waiting to see what the Vomero and Invincible lines do next. Do they merge as rumored? Vomero, Vomero Plus, etc.,... Would like to hear more about that. Also, aren't those shoes supposed to release from Nike this month (November)?
those models like the winflo and below tend to end up at discount shoe places (or nike outlets) where people just see the swoosh and buy them for everyday wear rather than a true performance run option, because they don't really know any better. I'm sure you could run in them, however I wouldn't personally do it.
Great video Edd! I have the Invincible 3 and the ZF5 and ZF6. I really think the Invincible is the most comfortable shoe Nike makes right now! Sooo good! Loving the ZF6 too! Infinitely better than the ZF5.
The Structure 25 also uses external geometry heel guidance, pretty massive midfoot sidewalls and has left medial posts behind. It's actually a very up-to-date-with-the-science moderate stability shoe, something I think Nike is not marketing particularly well at all for what's actually a good overpronation-correcting design without being as intrusive or clunky as the GT2000 models.
Zoom Fly 6 for me is the best in line up. First Nome shoe I’ve really, really enjoyed for a few years to the point that I sold off my Alphafly 3 for them.
You were the biggest voice in getting me to try the Rival Fly 3 (which was a solid shoe) … now that the Rival Fly 4 is a true banger, it doesn’t even get a mention …🧐
My most durable Nike shoes from 2023/2024 is the Vomero 17 . It is not my favorite, but at 360km ran it is "new" with almost no wear in the outsole and middlesole. Just the upper that attracted a lot of dust ... my pair is that cream with some red color. My Infinity Run 4 and Structure 25 were donated at 400km ran since the forefoot grip was gone and I was not feeling safe enough to use it at faster pace uphill or in raining days. And I still got my Invincible 3 at 450km ,but the upper close to the big toe is unglued in both shoes and that small piece of rubber in the forefoot is starting to unglued. But I'm still using then, feeling safe and the grip is still awesome. For the price the Invincible 3 don't age too well and the upper is almost as bad as the Vomero 17 to be a dirty magnet. I would buy again the Vomero and Structure.
I actually like the Winflo models. I have version 10 and will likely get version 11. The value in the Winflo comes when they go on sale. I can get the Winflo for 50.00 at the Nike Clearance store, while the Pegasus is 70.00.
Whether good or bad I have to give props to Nike for making shoes for runners with big feet. The fact that I can’t buy any Hoka or NB trainers and Asics premium shoes in a Uk 14 is a real downer. So a big thumbs up to Nike for making shoes us bigger footed runners.
The best Nike running shoes I’ve had over the past fifteen years has been the old Nike Free and the Free 5.0 to a lesser extent. They are super comfortable and outlast all my other shoes. I get at least 1000 km out of them before they start to break down whereas I get 700 km out of my Hokas at best granted they’re drastically different shoes.
I've always used Nike for racing, but felt they lacked durabilty. I never get more than about 150 miles from Nike's offerings (mainly vaporfly and alphafly, but also only about 250'ish miles from the Pegasus), I do supinate badly on my left foot. I've recently gravitated to the Adidas pro 3, and they seem to have a definitate bevel in the area I supinate in, and the wear in those is in my right foot!, I realise that it is personal, but I have got 450 miles in these. I guess my point is that shoe choice can be very personal. Love your chanel btw, and also how many others I watch on youtube reference you
Only done 3km run walk run on my zoomfly 6 since still injured, works well for me, at first it felt narrow but the fit is great broke in wearing it for few minutes in the house. Will see after some miles if it's worth buying another pair.
Love the video Edd! Disagree on the Streakfly though - you can pick them up for less than a hundred quid. A month ago, I ran a 10k in them with the last 5k in 19.07 - stunned me as a bit of an old codger, and given it doesn't have a carbon plate. They wear out fast, mind :(
Infinity Run has become a lifestyle shoe! Too bad, I had enjoyed my v1 and got more than 400 miles out of my pair. It was actually very useful when I was recovering from Achilles injury. If rumors are correct Vomero Plus will be replacing Invincible Run line. Pegasus Plus is a decent trainer. At $180 it is expensive and I was not going to buy it yet. Two shoutouts in one video. Could be a new PB so better comment :) Winflo 11 - not had the pleasure of that one. Probably won't at that weight but have seen some favourable comments. Rarely gets a mention on RUclips. Peg Trail 5 (I have the GORE-TEX one) did feel a bit softer than the Peg 41 at least at first. The former does not have any air units so that is probably the difference. I find the air bags feel softer walking about. Oddly when start running less so. Done 25 miles in the Zoom Fly 6 now and certainly liking that one and was thinking I probably do like it more than the Peg Plus. It's "OK" but having the ZF6 at more or less the same weight with more stack and a plate does make me wonder why they added about 50g in my size over the Turbo 2. Wore my Peg 41 again today and got over 200 miles in it. Have used for a mix of runs, run/walk, walks due to injury and also good for swopping out the insole with one with more arch support that I sometimes use. I am still in the Vaporfly 3 camp over Alphafly 3. Lot lighter in my UK 13 and I just find the AF3 bulky and don't like running in it. Have to admit is the sort of shoe that still "goes" but have never been inclined to run too far in it. Probably still prefer the VF1 or VF2 though to the VF3. In current shoes I also have the Ultrafly (expensive brick if meant to be a trail racer) and Vomero 17 - OK if want a slightly softer Pegasus.
@@EDDBUD also rather wide for me. I ought to give them another go but I did a mile in them for a shoeoff recently and did not enjoy that mile at all even if was only slightly slower than the VF3 without really "trying"
Don't know how I did it, but I just picked up a pair of Peg Trail 5's at just 63 earthcredits (EU ones) at Sportsdirect... Big win as Pegasus-lover! Will probably pick up the ZF6 and/or the Peg Plus in the course of next year when they're decently discounted. Great vid once again Edd! Greetings from Belgium
I own a lot of nike shoes. Some are great, some have been awful. The Infinity RN is one i can't stand and retired it to only walking after 15 miles of attempted runs. I can't stand reactx........ except in the Peg Trail 5. I bought the gortex version for winter and it's pretty darn good. Still prefer the feel of zoomx in the Zegama 2 but for waterproof shoe option the Peg Trail 5 is a banger. Vomero 17 is a solid daily, invincible 3 I love and have multiple pairs. Streakfly was good for super hot summer days, so light and breathable. Of course Apha fly and vapor fly are incredible.

Hi Edd, like your video 👍 good one. I am waiting for ZF6 to come to my local stores so I can first try them on, interested in ZF6. As for Nike Trail thumb up goes for me to Zegama2 and Wildhorse8. And Streakfly is still thumb up for me, have 3 pairs, also Vomero17 have 2 pairs and use them just for job everyday walk use... Wonder how would be new version of Streakfly 2 and Vomero18... 😊
Just picked up a pair of Pegasus plus off Vinted for £60. Provided that they're still in pretty decent condition (pictures would suggest so) I'm hoping that they're worth it for that price? I do have a pair of Pegasus 40 and find them on occasions a bit on the firm side
yeah agree. I like the Pegs because it is a Pegasus and it isn't a soft max stack shoe. Get say the Invincible if want that. It's also interesting how many Nike elites you see wearing them.
Nike line up is mediocre at best. I like the Ultrafly, and basically thats it. Alphafly 3 is great of course, but comes with terrible quality, midsole falling apart after first run.
Funny. Ben Parkes made a video of a pair with 200 miles and the guy is tall, and the outsole it still pretty solid. My pair is still doing pretty good at 50 miles.
@ you did mate - sold my pair. It should have had a plastic plate in it with a slightly higher forefoot stack. It literally gave me an injury when I ran intervals in it.
Nike is trash, idk how they’re still number 1 in sales. I think they’ll be going down soon. They don’t have any normal daily trainers with 0 performance. Ppl don’t kno what they’re buying when they choose a Nike running shoe. There are better brands out there that has better quality

Have to disagree on the Streakfly. It is a perfect shoe for faster sessions - intervals, track workouts, threshold runs etc. It is super lightweight with a great PEBA foam.
As forgiving as the Archbishop of Canterbury…
Back to 3rd again…
@EDDBUD pipped at the post! Must have been 4th. I am injured though…
I’m sorry but the Pegasus plus is an absolute dud.
I did mention it was a miss
@ you did mate - sold my pair. It should have had a plastic plate in it with a slightly higher forefoot stack. It literally gave me an injury when I ran intervals in it.

Will do once I have had breakfast

@EDDBUD Close... Next time. Great video, Ed! I want the next Vomero, my 17s are tanks that I can't wear down.
...more forgiving perhaps than a priest...🙊

Invincible Run 3 sucks. period.
It was fine for me. But I know others had heel slip
Nike is trash, idk how they’re still number 1 in sales. I think they’ll be going down soon. They don’t have any normal daily trainers with 0 performance. Ppl don’t kno what they’re buying when they choose a Nike running shoe. There are better brands out there that has better quality
You might be able to sell those Infinity v1 on the secondhand market, people are panic buying bricks 🧱
Could build a fallout shelter with those.
