Repossessed I think did get a DVD release in the UK through Momentum's label 'Take One'. Studio Canal must own the film. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was released as retail (PES) and also rental (PEV) at the same time, just like JFK, Batman Returns, Rain Man and LW3. There is a little bit of confusion, because both LW3 and Robin Hood had exclusive Blockbusters store releases in small rental boxes with (PEV), then also came out as big box rental releases as (PEV) in the UK.
@VideoTasties I still have the rental cover for LW3 big box, but closest I got to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves big box was in the rental shop. There were tons of PES retail Robin Hood's about back then.
Have got the U.K. DVD of Repossessed, it’s got one of those annoying landscape back covers like They Live and Raw Deal. Have seen a big box LW3 but they’re pretty rare, never seen a big box RH.
@michaelmyers3709 Warner's put Robin Hood out on retail and rental simultaneously, so I'd imagine Warner didn't put that many big box rentals out there. They did the same thing with JFK. The big box version does occasionally surface on eBay. Momentum had a decent deal with Studio Canal. Like you said, the Take One packaging wasn't the greatest, but I will give Momentum credit for releasing some intriguing titles on that label at the time. Yes, that's right. LW3 was another Warner experiment with retail and rental simultaneously. That was the last time Warner's did this with a retail/rental, which started with Rain Man.
I never saw Restoration either, but it was largely shot in Wales. I know some of it was shot in Caerphilly Castle ; I remember a piece on the local news around the time it was being filmed, summer of 94.
I still poo my pants thinking about the car chase sequence through Paris. The tiny mini camera's added to right side of the front bumpers of the cars were unique adaptations at the time. John Frankenheimer recorded and cut two alternative endings for the film, and both endings failed miserably with test auidences and MGM. The car chase is probably the best staged chase I've ever seen. I'm beginning to wonder if the director decided to just shoot some sequences without the French authorities knowing. There's been discussions about it.
Ah there’s my old employers logo again on The Running Man tape 🙂 I do miss working for Entertainment U.K. I was surrounded by tapes and discs 5 days a week 🙂 📼 📀
@@VideoTasties for a first full time job after 6th Form College, it suited me just fine. No way was it gonna be a career changer but it was a good job to have aged 18 - 22 🙂

Enjoyed the car chase but recall the rest of the film being a bit of a slog.

Rat Race is a bit of a guilty pleasure ; Jon Lovits is particularly funny in that.
Robocop must be seen at any cost! Even a dollar...
Why did you say Repossessed is a sequel of The Exorcist?
Because it does follow on from The Exorcist story wise
