Merci Juliette.
MERCI JOHN POUR CETTE NOUVELLE VIDEO. J AI PERSONNELLEMENT UNE TRES GRANDE PREFERENCE POUR LES TOILES 100% ABSTRAITES . JE LES TROUVENT PLUS PERCUTANTES ET PLUS RYTMEES. EN TOUT CAS, LES TABLEAUX, LA FACON DE FILMER ET LA MUSIQUE RENDENT VOS VIDEOS TOUJOURS TRES AGREABLE A REGARDER. ENCORE MERCI
Merci Chris, En faite j'ai fait celle ci car beaucoup me l'on demandé, je préfère aussi les toiles 100% abstraites. En plus aucune contrainte dans la réalisation. Juste du plaisir! :) John
I gotta say: I like this one. You've got an unusual gift for making youtube videos. Some of the other paintings kinda lost me, but the music kept my interest.
how does your music influence your work? I find that opera and rap music combined seem to bring out different colors and shapes than rock and roll and classic instrumentals - what do you like to paint to the best?
wow j adore ,j aimerais savoir Quesque tu prend pour faire tes lignes on dirais un petit morceau de bois ,parce que je connais pas ,je commence a faire de la peinture .merci .
hey john i'ma big fan of you, you have inspired me to paint. but please could you tell me can i start learning abstract painting even if i don't know anything about realistic painting ??? because i just don't like realistic things, ha ha ha
Love your paintings! To Amanda Rebecca I buy luwon board. The spelling is probably not correct but go to your lumber supply store and ask for it. I pay for a large sheet of this board for about 14.00 and have them cut it to the size I want. I also go to junk store, resale, and yard sales for my frames. Then I have the board cut to fit them.
YOU can use all depending what your up to and feel comfortable with.. now thick is good for structure and things that stand out, the liquid is more to play around and great for mixing fast to get the color you need before something dries that should still be a bit wet, you can use water to thick acrylic and no more than 25 % TO get a liquid paint and put it in a tube or straight from the bottle do those lines he does.... this way you do not spend to much money, yellow , blue and red, white black is all you need, jumbo containers and mix all your own colors all your greens orange violet light blue lemon the list goes on and als use some with water to get that liquid effect, you will save a lot, learn a lot, paint is like chocolate so mix well if you want a certain color and never give up... i hope that helps, you can also buy transparent acrylic polimers for mixing because you always want enough within the boundaries, never mix acrylic paint with 50% water, you will regret it later, the painting will become dull in due time and other crazy things....peace
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed answer Jeyjana911. Actually though, I was asking Mr. Beckley what he, specifically, used, since I see him squirting paint on from a bottle...but that could be either heavy or liquid, or a combination. I also see him moving paint with a palette knife, and that too could be both or a combination. Thank you again though for your time and answer.
What is the name of the tool you use dominantly in this video? I'm working under the assumption that it is a painting knife, but I cant seem to find any with a straight edge like yours.
Hi John, can i ask you what u used in the begining of the painting, i mean the first layer. ? thanks for your shares, this really inspires me, i'm a photographer, and i want to try this kind of art.
Amanda Rebecca Did you ever start painting! I took apart a small bookshelf that was wobbly. The pieces were fine but as a whole it wasn’t for books. I sealed the mdf board edges with Elmer’s Glue All and then I went to town with Folk Art & Deco Art paints that I got in a kit .. and used a 40% off coupon. After the boards were all painted on I started to notice how many decrepit shelves and book cases (and dressers that have big boards for the bottom of each drawer) so yahhh.. all free painting surfaces! I see this comment was 4 years ago. Hopefully you’re well on your way ✌️✌️✌️
I´D say it´s a mix up because he mostly does abstract and he did not think about i guess but he is one of few who give people a see into how he does things, whereas many would never give secrets up or see it as a waste of time.... many also cannot do this with a camera knowing it´s going to be seen by many so he is a risk taker and just really cool..... i´m sure as i have where i was not sure what i wanted to do and it was going the surreal direction or figurative, it happens often .... have a good day!
This artist just opened my eyes in a whole new way to art and abstract painting

your art is awesome..... (:
Do you usually use liquid acrylics, heavy body acrylics, or a pretty even mix for a painting?

Love your work but not the headcam
john i love your paintings v v v much but i always get headachs by seeing them......camera on head :( :(
:)
!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do you call this abstract when the image you represent is very much figurative?
I´D say it´s a mix up because he mostly does abstract and he did not think about i guess but he is one of few who give people a see into how he does things, whereas many would never give secrets up or see it as a waste of time.... many also cannot do this with a camera knowing it´s going to be seen by many so he is a risk taker and just really cool..... i´m sure as i have where i was not sure what i wanted to do and it was going the surreal direction or figurative, it happens often .... have a good day!
