Thank you so much. Creating videos like these is helpful especially when you have spent a whole day trying to choose a music platform from the many already avalaible.😍
Great video, Justin! I am currently using RUclips music library, I don’t want to pay any subscription unless I’m making more videos per month. So far I’m launching one video a week. Have a great day.
Hey Justin. I use Thematic Music, and NCS. Thanks for this very informative video. For the paid options i knew of epidemic sounds only. Its great to have this knowledge for the future.
I've been with Epidemic Sound for years now - never had any issues and well worth it. Now I'm also using Creator Mix - very new and not a huge library yet, but solid for live stream backing tracks and video background music.
Hi Doug! Question... Not sure if you'll know, but: Can I only use music from Epidemic as long as I have a subscription? I'm just thinking down the road!
Hello Justin, thank you for sharing your talent. I have watched several of your videos and I have leaned a lot. About the music, I didn't know any better yet and I was just using random music and I got a 9 copyrights.. ouch and I think they took off a lot of my views and hours. I just started this channel 3 months ago an still learning everyday.... Thank you !!!
Thank you so much for this info! I've been using Epidemic Sound for 1 year but lately it's been VERY hard to find good tracks there. I am cancelling my subscription with them and trying the other sites you mention.
Thanks so much Justin for this getting copyright free music is always a headache for me and this really helped. Other creators advice was not so good but as usual you were spot on mate many thanks.
Hiya Justin, HUGE Thanks - I am a new'ish RUclipsr with 340 subscribers and 50 videos, but I had never quite got to grips with music and sound effects for my growing channel. Of course I need to do this urgently and you just saved me a heap of 'How To' research time. I'm going to go for your Epidemic Sound recommendation and hopefully with the Promo Code still operational. Thanks again, you are a Top Teacher!
Hi Justin thanks again for a fantastic video. It's nice to see you flying 😄. I actually waved back to your flying self. I will br adding this video to my youtube journey.
Thanks for sharing! I have a question. Can you still use the downloaded sounds after to cancel the subscription or after the end of your subscription period?
Really great and extremely useful video Justin, many thanks. Here’s a question for you… what I’d like to know is this, I’m about to create some videos about design and want to use music that I’ve written and recorded as backing tracks. Do you know what the best way is to avoid any RUclips conflicts? In other words, how do I get RUclips to recognise that I own the rights to this music? Any advice would be appreciated. Alternatively, do you have or know of a video that covers this topic? Thanks in advance. Jon. 👍🏻😎
Hey Jon, we can answer that for ya. You can use your own music with no problems at all! You'll only have problems if you have registered your music with a digital rights management company for monetization. Hope that helps! Luisa @ Track Club
Thank you so much for this. I just started my channel and my first video was flagged for the background music, so that has been really frustrating. This will help me out so much!
Yea only they lie about the license. You buy today invest in a project and tomorrow they change the rules requiring to get lifitime subsription or you get strikes.
I need to find music where I can make a one time Credit purchase. I don't want to sign up for monthly payments because if I stop paying two years from now they will probably shut down everything I had done.
Turns out that in some cases when we legitimately purchase Royalty Free company either didn't buy lifelong rights or has sold off those rights to another company to "adjust their portfolio" (audiio is a good example), or the Royalty Free company goes out of business and sells off their master license! Over the last 5 years, we have had to appeal claims against us from: The Orchard Music, Sony BMG, AdRev Publishing, Getty Images Music, TunaCor, Rumblefish, Merlin Redeye Distribution, Interstreet Recordings, CD Baby and more. Over the last 12 years, companies that we have legitimately purchased right and subsequently received claims include: Audiio, Elite Protege, Footage Film, Pond5, Presentation Audio, Royalty Free Music, Sound-Ideas, stock20, Triple Scoop Music, Westar Music and more.
Hi Justin. Thanks for the valuable info. Are any of these options better at providing files with shorter durations? 7 seconds, 10, or maybe 20 at most. Do you have any recommendations? Just a note about your video, my employer has an Adobe subscription that I am able to glean from, but it can be limiting. I find myself "settling" most days.
Hi Justin, first thanks for your video, But i have a question, let's say if i paid for annual then i didn't continue, will i get a claim on my videos on my channel from that music website?
Hi, Thanks for this great video, super helpful ans simple. Q1- Regarding lickd, and maybe goes for the first two services as well. As a video editor, I use those services mainly for films and clips that other people will upload to THEIR youtube channel later on. So, should that be a problem ? Q2- Again, regarding lickd, when you say you can't remix- does that apply to not being permitted to cut the song half way and shorten it to fit the clip you made ? Thanks again
Justin, I’m hoping you can help me. I now have utube prime so I can download music from utube for my videos. However, the tutorials show a very different Studio screen on my dashboard. No column on the left with the options mentioned. I don’t seem to have the same platform and can not find a path through the utube help system. I can’t edit through utube either. I can’t find answers anywhere. Please, if you have an idea as to what I’m doing wrong I’d really appreciate it. Somehow I may have set it up incorrectly when I started. Lost in space,,,, no path back. Thanks Wendy
Justin, I have a question. So I am using the green screen feature on iMovie and at the same time I wanna add brolls. But it seems like I can’t do it all at once. Have u tried this? Or do I need to export the file first with the green screen before I add the brolls? Please advise. Thanks!
