Came here after reading a news story about her. She’s stunning! I love her back story - a rural, country girl who grew up poor and was almost married off to a man she never met because that’s what girls from her Hmong community are used to. But she convinced her father to allow her to further her education and her she is! Not easy to do when the culture is such that girls her age get married off before that could even finish school. Such an inspiring story.
I knew she was gonna be a surprise placement because her red prelim gown stood out over the asian tocuyos. Love this

i think Miss Universe Laos contestants are beginning to get noticed because they are full-blood local girls. These full-blood local girls provide the authentic beauty and charisma of their country. Unlike other Asian countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines, always sending mixed race girls with white/European blood.

She definitely deserves the spot in top 16. She’s beautiful like all the ladies compete in the Miss Universe and she has a strong background. she established her own foundation before even enter the Miss Universe Laos.
Laos for the first time having enter to Quarter Finals for just after 6 years of competition since 2017 and I will say she deserved the spot in Top 16!

@@maloupenalosa7483 Did she break MU rules? Nope!!! Beauty Pageants allow fan worldwide to be the 11th judges to pick their favorite contestant. Please tell me which country doesn't want their contestant to be honored by fans worldwide and automatically jump into Semifinals. Miss Laos speaks 5 languages and have the all the criteria that judges are looking for so I wouldn't be surprised if she scored high in the interview room to get in top 15, also. MU has to honor people's choice first if she made it to top 15 and give her spot to the next available contestant. Better than the countries that DID NOT made it to the top.

Even though she won the fanvote spot but her story and contribution are also stand-out like other ladies in the top 16. The first Hmong woman ever on the Miss Universe stage and an English teacher who also voluntarily teach ethnic minority childen in rural for many years before entering Miss Universe Laos.

She deserved to be in Top 16. I recognized her skill since she talked in a LIVE chat with other contestants which streamed on youtube a couple months before final competition. And, i more prefer her prelim gown than the one she wore at final night.
