This thing has made my life dramatically easier when I'm hiking and filming! I love peak design stuff everything is made with quality. And it all interconnects with each other! To have a camera strap I bought their leash with the quick release attachments just in case I need it and keep it in the bag it's super lightweight. I like that I can just take it right off my shoulder strap and put it onto my carbon fiber tripod when I need to use that without changing mounts. This company just makes everything easier!
I do not carry a camera besides my phone, but dang that's a slick and great idea, secure, yet easy to grab and easy to stow. You will bring the camera more and use it more if it takes less effort. $70 well I say buy once cry once!
Biggest benefit is that the camera doesn’t bang against your chest when hiking like with a camera strap. I like the bigger camera because of higher quality zoom and the video is amazing. Still getting used to the work flow but it’s great!
The one major thing I like about having the bigger camera is the ability to zoom with clarity. I usually use a GoPro due to size and weight, but this item is perfect for taking the bigger camera.
I have one of those to and it def makes carrying a larger DSLR/Mirrorless camera easy. The release button also turns to lock it from accidentally being depressed.
It's a popular one! I picked up the Ulanzi version for around half the price. Was trying to do a GoPro mod with the same idea but didn't work out. Def makes wrangling the heavier cameras easier! Enjoy!
Definitely a nice clip my friend!! Great for day hikes man…. I had it for a while. I ended up going to the POD when I backpack because it protects dirt and water- I actually fell in Big Sur river and it had ZERO water In it which saved my gear 😮.
Might get the pod later for storage. I like the quick access of this clip and will definitely be using this for more dayhikes and short backpacking trips.
It’s been a huge upgrade to the kit. I’ve had the camera for about a year and still trying to work it into my work flow to create videos. Lots to learn!
This is something I completely recommend if you are going to take your bigger camera on trail. Having the ability to quickly put the camera up on the strap is key to enjoying your time on trail. Otherwise, that camera will be extremely annoying if you are carrying other gear.
Nice gimmick but nothing more. For me, the screws come loose on 5 or 8h hikes, even if I tighten them very firmly before. For this reason, I think it's only suitable for a walk, but I certainly won't be hanging a camera on it on a hike. Incidentally, my camera with lens only weighs 800g ;)

Agreed! Had some issues when I ordered direct, but their gear is awesome. Also have the leash and tech pouch. All interchange and love it!

Peak Design is just awesome, I use peak design capture v3 and it's a fantastic and such a useful piece of equipment.
Agreed! Their gear is amazing!!
Nice review of the Mount. Looked secure for a good size camera.
Perfect item if you carry a larger camera like this.
I have this exact camera clip. I don’t carry my camera that often, use my phone most of my trips, but when I do, the Peak Design Capture does great.

You'll love it! I've been using the 2.0 and it's a workhorse.
This is a MUST for content creators!

Excellent! Didn’t know that the button locks so thank you for the tip!!
This is fantastic! I hadn't seen this before. Very interesting concept.
I was on the fence until I started hiking with the bigger camera. This is a game changer!

That sounds cool with the GoPro! Will have to see if I can make that mod work!
@@MetroOnTheMove If you do lmk asap! lol. all i was able to do was have the GoPro stick up and out awkwardly.

@@MetroOnTheMove absolutely!!!! Great choice 🙌
Nice attachment for camera hikers.
I prefer the term outdoor enthusiast!
Definitely a popular item for camera carriers. New camera also? 👍👍

I've been on the fence about this one but I might have to pull the trigger on getting one.
I got mine through REI and used the dividend to get it. Also quick delivery.
Love mine!! 😊😊
It’s a must if you carry a larger camera. Great stuff!
Cool! I have been looking for one of those. I might use your link. ✌️

I was thinking about getting one of these. Looks robust!
If you have a larger camera, it is totally worth it. Way easier than pulling it out of the bag or wearing a camera strap. Love it!
You are becoming quite the gear reviewer! Nice piece of kit for “camera hike”…eh hum…I mean “outdoor enthusiasts”. 😄👍🏼
Haha! Yep, when it gets hot like this, I think people would rather see gear reviews than me sweating out my eyeballs.

Had this come loose after 5 hikes so you are correct. You should definitely tighten up the attachment before and after every hike.
