Well to be fair, the songs on there they've been almost exclusively playing for three years. I imagine they've gotten bored of them, especially since their new record is done, just waiting on a formal release

It’s such a great album, it really nails that small town rural atmosphere which resonates a lot with me. But I can understand why a lot of people have trouble identifying with it

@@simonefrongia3115 well yeah i can definitely see why people like it as much as they do, and id even go as far as to say that it does deserve its spot as one of the best of the year, i just don't enjoy it as much when listening to it on it's own, some aspects i just dont them as appealing.
I like the vocals a lot too personally. The frontman sounds like a post punk David Bowie to me kinda
honestly this really fell off for me. the lyricism and bland ass structure just really ticks me off and i can't understand the hype behind them anymore. since they left behind their more energetic style from 2019 they just sound neutered to me.
I love this album bit i have to agree that sometimes the lyrics are wayyy too pretentious
